00:00Happy Thursday to all of us, I am Benison Estareja.
00:04The rain continues here in the western sections of Southern Luzon, Central Luzon, and Visayas.
00:10Because it is still in the south or southwest monsoon,
00:13although our rainfall will not be as strong as compared yesterday.
00:18Meanwhile, we continue to monitor the cloud clusters or pool of clouds here in the east of our country.
00:25There will be a lot of low-pressure areas in the next few days and our Philippine Area of Responsibility will enter.
00:31And if we notice, there are strong rains in the eastern portions of the Caraga and Davao region.
00:37So be careful of possible floods and landslides due to the effect of cloud clusters.
00:44Although we do not expect a storm until the end of August,
00:48until the end of 2024, 6 to 10 storms are still possible based on the climatology and agrometeorology division of Pag-asa.
00:56For the months of September and October, 2 to 3 storms are possible
01:00while November or December and December, 1 to 2 storms within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:10Today, due to the effect of the storm,
01:12the chances of rain are still high in the western sections, especially in Mizambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro.
01:20So the chances of rain are low to moderate.
01:23And sometimes, it gets stronger in the afternoon until the evening.
01:27So be careful of possible floods and landslides.
01:30And always keep an eye on our rainfall advisories or worst case, heavy rainfall warnings.
01:35There are also high chances of rain in other parts of the nearby areas of Pangasinan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila,
01:44the entire Calabarzon, and the remaining part of Mimaropa.
01:47It is also affected by heavy rainfall.
01:49But again, we repeated that the rainfall is not as strong as yesterday.
01:53So we have a good chance of rain in the morning.
01:55In the afternoon until the evening, expect heavy rain and thunderstorms.
02:00So be careful of possible floods.
02:02And make sure that we have an umbrella when we go out of the house, especially those returning from school and work.
02:09And in the remaining part of the country, Luzon, particularly here in the Bicol Region,
02:13it is partly cloudy until the sky is cloudy.
02:15And the chances of rain are lower.
02:17Like in Nueva Ecija and Aurora.
02:19While here in Northern Luzon, it is still partly cloudy and sometimes the sky is sunny in the morning until the afternoon.
02:26And when the afternoon comes until the evening, the chances of localized thunderstorms are high.
02:33Especially in the rest of Ilocos Region and a large part of Cordillera Region.
02:37Expect the highest temperature here in Micagayan and Isabela, up to 34 degrees Celsius.
02:44Over Metro Manila, between 24 to 30 degrees.
02:47While it is still cold in Baguio, between 17 to 22 degrees Celsius.
02:53To our fellow countrymen, here in Palawan, there are still occasional rains.
02:56Or sometimes, there are weak to moderate rains that we will experience for today.
03:00That is the effect of the storm.
03:02But be careful of possible floods and landslides.
03:05To our fellow countrymen in Negros Island Region plus Western Visayas,
03:09there is still a cold weather that is accompanied by heavy rains and thunderstorms.
03:14Also because of the storm, but be careful of floods and landslides.
03:18And always stay tuned for our updates.
03:21Heavy rainfall warnings and rainfall advisories.
03:24While Central Visayas plus Eastern Visayas, before the afternoon,
03:28there is a possible dark weather that will be accompanied by heavy rains or localized thunderstorms.
03:35Our temperature here in Metro Cebu from 26 to 32 degrees.
03:39While in Palawan, up to 31 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.
03:43To our fellow countrymen in Mindanao,
03:45as we mentioned earlier, the chances of rains are high as early as this morning.
03:49Over Caraga Region, Davao Region, and nearby areas in Northern Mindanao and Socargen.
03:55These are localized thunderstorms, so it won't last long.
03:58But again, sometimes, it will be strong.
04:01And when it reaches afternoon and night, it is possible that it will divert here in Western Sections,
04:06in Bangsamoro Region, in Zamboanga Peninsula.
04:09The strong ones in the rainy season, again, are localized thunderstorms.
04:13And it has nothing to do with any types of storm.
04:15Our temperature here in Metro Davao, 34 degrees Celsius.
04:19While in some areas in the cities here in Mindanao, up to 33 degrees Celsius.
04:25From now until the weekend, we don't expect any gale warning or high waves.
04:30But then again, if we have thunderstorms, it is still possible to go up to two and a half meters.
04:36Especially in the areas of Mimaropa and Western Visayas.
04:39This is also part of the effect of the Southwest Monsoon.
04:42But for the rest of our country, we still expect high waves.
04:49For the time being, for the next four days,
04:52the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat is still possible.
04:55Plus, we are monitoring weather disturbances based on the latest TC Threat Potential Forecast.
05:03Later next week or earlier next week,
05:05it is possible that we will have a new circulation somewhere here in the West Philippine Sea.
05:10But eventually, it will also come out of our Area of Responsibility.
05:14But we will be monitoring here in the cloud clusters on the eastern side of Mindanao.
05:18Because it is possible that there will be a low-pressure area or possible circulation
05:23and our Philippine Area of Responsibility will enter tomorrow or on Saturday.
05:29The chance of this being a storm is still low.
05:31However, when it enters our PAR,
05:33the trough or extension of this low-pressure area or circulation will rain on the eastern sides of our country.
05:39So over the weekend, the chance of rain is high here in Summer Island,
05:43in the Caraga Region and Davao Region
05:45because of the trough of the possible low-pressure area.
05:48While some areas still have it,
05:50here in Western Visayas, Negros Island Region,
05:53Mimaropa, especially in Palawan,
05:55Plazamuanga Peninsula and Bangsamoro Region,
05:57the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat is already affected.
06:01So we repeat, the chance of rain is high for the next four days
06:05here in Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
06:08So if you have plans to travel,
06:10if you have certain occasions,
06:12make sure that you have an umbrella or an umbrella in case of rain.
06:15While in the Northern and Central Luzon,
06:17the chance of rain is moderate
06:19until the sky is still cloudy,
06:20including Metro Manila.
06:22And this is accompanied by brief rains,
06:24especially in the afternoon until the evening.
