00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World, I'm Theo Kusinbetz and today I'm out on the streets of Manchester
00:04asking people about Labour's new proposed smoking ban which would see a limit on where people can
00:08smoke in places like beer gardens and outside shops in general. I want to know what people
00:13think about it, whether it's a good thing, bad thing, better for public health or just a bit of a
00:17nanny state situation. So let's go see what they said. Yeah I think it's a bit unnecessary to be
00:23honest it's um you know people want to smoke in a garden like then so be it. But I don't think
00:32there's a point to it because I'll be honest if you go into a pub already like you're already
00:38going there to put something in your body that's like harmful you know harmful in excess so like
00:43I think just having them smoke as well isn't going to be that big of a problem. I think with
00:47a rule like that it's kind of hard to like know where to draw the line at that point if you're
00:52saying like banning, I get banning smoking indoors of course but outside then it's like
00:58where do you draw the line?
