With the ban of disposable vapes now sitting squarely on the horizon, we went out onto the streets of Manchester to see if people approve of the move.

00:00Hi, I'm Theo with Manchester World. Today I'm out on the streets of Manchester asking people about disposable vapes.
00:06And that's because they've become a real contentious issue recently, particularly with the amount of young people under the age of 18 who are purchasing them and using them.
00:14Now there are talks of them being banned in June. We want to know if that's a good idea or a bad idea.
00:18Don't vape anymore. I haven't for about a year, but you just see kids everywhere with them now.
00:22I've recently had a daughter in the last couple of years. So the thought of obviously 14, 15, 16-year-olds vaping and stuff like that, just see them as toys.
00:31So I can see it being a good thing, basically.
00:34Obviously they're no good for the environment. I vape, but I've got one of them. I just fill it up. You know what I mean?
00:40I was just going to say, I'm a teacher. I'm a high school teacher. So one of the big issues that we have is the children vaping.
00:48And I know, because we do a lot of assemblies on it, how damaging they are for your lungs, especially children's lungs who are still developing.
00:56Organs, obviously, that are still developing. So that would be my gripe on it.
