00:00Good morning from the Weather Forecasting Center.
00:03This is our update on the weather for the next 24 hours.
00:09We can see here in the latest satellite images,
00:12the thick clouds in a large part of Luzon
00:16are the continuation of the Southwest Monsoon.
00:20At the moment, we expect that for the next 24 hours,
00:24there will be a high chance of clouds and rain
00:30accompanied by storms in the extreme northern Luzon,
00:33in the areas of Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
00:36Here in Metro Manila, and in a large part of our country,
00:40we expect that the rainfall will gradually decrease
00:44as compared to the rainfall we experienced in the past few days.
00:48So generally, we expect fair weather conditions,
00:51mostly cloudy conditions in the morning.
00:53But we expect that throughout the day,
00:55the chance of continuous rainfall will be low.
00:58But there are still chances of thunderstorms,
01:00especially in the afternoon and evening.
01:04At the moment, we are also monitoring a low-pressure area
01:07outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:10It is located in the northeastern boundary of our PIR.
01:14We do not expect it to be a typhoon
01:17for the next few days,
01:19but we expect that it will have an effect in our country.
01:23At the moment, we are also monitoring another cloud cluster
01:27in the northern part of Luzon, inside our PIR.
01:31It also has no effect in our country,
01:33but we continue to monitor it
01:35because it is possible that it will be a low-pressure area
01:38for the next few days.
01:41As for the weather conditions here in Luzon,
01:45because of the effects of the strong winds,
01:47we still expect a high chance of rain
01:50in the areas of Batanes and Mabuyan Islands.
01:54In a large part of Luzon,
01:56especially here in the western section of Luzon,
01:58it is clearer than what we expected today,
02:01that the rainfall will be reduced.
02:03We will experience hot and humid weather again,
02:07aside from the chances of heavy rainfall
02:10that will cause flooding and landslides
02:12of localized thunderstorms.
02:13Maximum temperature forecast,
02:14for the area outside of Manila today,
02:16it is possible that it will reach 31°C.
02:1832°C here in Taguigarao,
02:20and 22°C in Baguio City.
02:23Maximum temperature forecast,
02:25for the area outside of Manila today,
02:27it is possible that it will reach 32°C.
02:3032°C here in the area of Legazpi,
02:32and 31°C in Tagaytay.
02:37Here in the areas of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,
02:41we expect generally fair weather conditions today,
02:44and the chances of thunderstorm activity are still high.
02:48These are the sudden and sudden rainfall
02:50that will reach yesterday until tonight.
02:53Maximum temperature forecast,
02:54for the Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa today,
02:57it is possible that it will reach 32°C.
03:0032°C here in the areas of Iloilo and Cebu,
03:03and 33°C in Tacloban.
03:07Maximum temperature forecast,
03:08for Cagayan de Oro today,
03:10it is possible that it will reach 32°C.
03:1233°C here in Davao,
03:15and 33°C in Zamboanga.
03:18In terms of the sea,
03:20currently,
03:21we do not have a high gale warning
03:23here in the western seaboards of Luzon.
03:25It is still different for our fellow fishermen.
03:29Because of the large area of Luzon,
03:31it is still possible for us to experience
03:33moderate to high sea level.
03:37This is our Tropical Cyclone Threat Potential Forecast.
03:40This is one of the products
03:42that shows the possibility of a storm
03:46within our monitoring domain.
03:48We can see here
03:50that this is the first circulation that we are monitoring.
03:53There is a possible low-pressure area
03:55within our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
03:57This is possibly associated with the cloud clusters
04:02that we are currently monitoring.
04:05Within the next days,
04:06for week 1,
04:07today until September 12,
04:09this cloud cluster is possible to be a low-pressure area.
04:12There is also a chance for a storm to occur
04:15within the next days.
04:16We can see in this diagram
04:18that it will remain far from our mainland.
04:21It will generally move northeastward
04:23towards our country,
04:25towards the northern boundary
04:26of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
04:29The second possible weather disturbance
04:33within week 1,
04:34we can see here
04:36that this is possible to occur
04:37outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
04:40There is also a chance for a storm to occur
04:42and it will generally move northwestward
04:45towards our PR for week 1.
04:47By the end of week 2,
04:50we expect it to move generally northwestward.
04:54It is already inside our Philippine Area of Responsibility
04:58but we can see here
04:59that it is far from our mainland
05:02and it will generally move northeastward
05:05towards the Taiwan area
05:07or the northern boundary
05:08of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
05:11The third possible weather disturbance
05:14for this forecast period,
05:16it is possible to occur here in the West Philippine Sea
05:19in the northern part of our country.
05:21There is a small chance
05:22of a weather disturbance
05:24to be a storm.
05:25For week 1 and week 2
05:27or at least for the next two weeks,
05:29we expect that
05:30even though there are possible circulations,
05:33there are possible storms to occur
05:34that entered our PR,
05:36it will remain far from our mainland.
05:41But if there are significant changes
05:43in our forecast track scenario,
05:45we will stick to the updates
05:47issued by Pag-asa
05:49because this Tropical Cyclone Threat Potential
05:51is released by Pag-asa once a day.
05:55For our forecast weather conditions
05:57for the next few days,
05:59this cloud cluster
06:00inside our Philippine Area of Responsibility
06:02is possible to be a low-pressure area
06:05for the next few days.
06:07This is due to the possible slight enhancement
06:10of our Southwest Monsoon
06:12or Hanging Habagat in the next days.
06:14Meanwhile, this is a low-pressure area
06:16outside our PR.
06:17We do not expect it to be a storm
06:19and it will remain far from our country
06:21and it will also have no effect
06:23on any part of our mainland.
06:26Starting tomorrow, Sunday, September 8,
06:29a large part of our country
06:31will experience fair weather conditions,
06:33improving conditions in the areas
06:35of Batanes and Pabuyan Islands.
06:37However, chances of thunderstorm activity
06:40are still possible,
06:42especially in the late afternoon to evening.
06:44As for September 9,
06:47sorry, September 9 to September 11,
06:50from Monday to Wednesday,
06:52we expect scattered rains and thunderstorms
06:54to occur in the areas of Ilocos Region,
06:56Zambales, and Bataan.
06:58As for the mentioned areas,
07:00we are still prepared and alert
07:02to the chances of flooding and landslides
07:04if we will continue to experience
07:06heavy rains.

07:10we have experienced heavy rains
07:12and landslides
07:14in the areas of Ilocos Region,
07:16Zambales, and Bataan.
07:18However, we are still prepared
07:20and alert to the chances
07:22of flooding and landslides
07:24in the areas of Ilocos Region,
07:26Zambales, and Bataan.

07:34in the areas of Ilocos Region,
07:36Zambales, and Bataan.
07:38However, we are still prepared
07:40and alert to the chances
07:42of flooding and landslides
