00:00Good morning to all of us. This is the latest weather update for Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
00:08Let's start with our latest satellite image.
00:11At the moment, we are still monitoring these two low-pressure areas outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:19This low-pressure area that is closer to our country came out yesterday evening.
00:25We did not expect that this would have a direct effect on any part of our country.
00:31Meanwhile, Southwest Monsoon is still raging and it is possible that it will bring rain
00:38to the northern and central Luzon areas.
00:42Meanwhile, in Metro Manila and the rest of our country,
00:46we did not see any sustained rainfall so we did not expect it to rain yesterday.
00:52Nowadays, in most parts of our country, we are generally in fair weather conditions
00:57except for the possibility of sudden or temporary rainfall.
01:02And for the next few days, these two low-pressure areas that we are monitoring,
01:07this low-pressure area that is closer to our country,
01:09generally, it will bring rain so most likely, it will have an effect on a part of Taiwan or mainland China.
01:17We do not expect this to have an effect on any part of our country for the next few days.
01:22Meanwhile, this low-pressure area that is in the eastern part of Visayas,
01:26it is possible that there will be a typhoon and it will hit, generally, northwestward
01:33and it is possible that it will enter our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:38Although based on our estimation,
01:40as of now, we did not expect that it will continue to approach any part of our Philippine landmass.
01:47But while it is passing through the eastern coast of our country,
01:51it will hit the southwest monsoon or hanging habagat as early as Wednesday or Thursday,
01:58it is possible that there will be widespread rainfall in parts of Southern Luzon,
02:03there in the Calabar Zone, in Maropa and also in the Bicol Region,
02:07possibly also in the Metro Manila Area, in Visayas and some parts of Mindanao.
02:12Starting Wednesday or Thursday, we expect that there will be rainfall
02:16and while it is passing through the eastern coast of our country,
02:23it is possible that the rainfall in the mentioned areas will continue until the upcoming weekend,
02:30possibly it will last until the next week.
02:33That is why, until now, we are warning our countrymen
02:37about the possibility of widespread rainfall in the coming days due to the effect of the hanging habagat.
02:47For the time being, as we have mentioned,
02:50due to the continuous effect of the southwest monsoon or hanging habagat,
02:54it is still possible that there will be widespread rainfall in parts of the northern and central zone,
03:00there in the Ilocos Region, Zambales and Bataan Area.
03:04While in Metro Manila and in the southern part of Luzon,
03:07generally, we have fair weather conditions,
03:09aside from the possibility of sudden or temporary rainfall that is usually experienced in the afternoon and night.

03:57that are more common in the afternoon and night.
