00:00Good morning from the Weather Forecasting Center, this is our update on the Ferdy Tornado.

00:08Earlier this morning, the Philippine Area of Responsibility released the Ferdy Tornado.

00:15This is an international name, Nabe Vingkas.

00:18This is still a tropical storm and our latest location earlier this morning at 4am

00:23is at a distance of 1,210 kilometers east-northeast of the extreme northern Luzon.

00:30This is a strong wind that is close to the middle, reaching up to 85 kilometers per hour

00:35when it reaches 105 kilometers per hour.

00:38At the moment, it is moving west-northwestward at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour.

00:44So even though this is outside our PAR, we can see here in our latest satellite images

00:51that these thick clouds that are moving to a large part of our country

00:56are the continuous effect of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat that is caused by the so-called typhoon.

01:02And this is our current location in our country.

01:07Here in the area of Luzon, due to the effect of Habagat, a large part of southern Luzon,

01:12including Metro Manila, as well as areas of Zambales and Mataan,

01:16there is a higher chance of heavy rains accompanied by landslides and landslides.

01:21The most affected by monsoon rains or the direct rains brought by Habagat

01:26are the areas of Mimaropa and occasional rains here in the area of Cabiculan.

01:32It is clearer in the time that we expect in the rest of Central Luzon

01:36as well as in the entire northern Luzon.

01:38Even now, the chance of sudden and sudden rains is still possible

01:43due to the trough or extension of the tropical storm outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

02:46in the central and eastern Visayas and most of Mindanao.

02:50Maximum temperature forecast for Kalayaan Islands today is possible to reach 31 degrees Celsius.

02:5630 degrees here in the area of Puerto Princesa.

02:5929 degrees Celsius in Iloilo and 31 degrees Celsius in the areas of Cebu and Tacloban.

03:05Maximum temperature forecast for Cagayan de Oro today is possible to reach 30 degrees Celsius.

03:1132 degrees in the area of Davao and 31 degrees Celsius in the area of Zamboanga.

03:16And this is our latest track and intensity forecast for Tropical Storm Ferdi.

03:23The international name of this storm is Bibingka.

03:26It is outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

03:30It came out earlier this morning.

03:32It will continue to move north-westward towards Okinawa, Japan.

03:38And it will generally move west-northwestward while it is in the area of the East China Sea.

03:45So within this forecast period, it is possible for this storm to move into a severe tropical storm category

03:50while it is outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

03:54And possibly into a typhoon category while it is in the East China Sea.

03:58So this storm Ferdi will still remain far away from our land.

04:01And it will no longer have a direct effect on any part of our country.

04:08Even now, due to the effect of the typhoon and the so-called typhoon that is still pulling the storm out of our park,

04:14we will still experience gusts of wind in some parts of our country.

04:19So starting today until tomorrow, we expect gusts of wind in the areas of Batangas,

04:25Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Buong Visayas, Sakaraga Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula,

04:32Barm and Davao Region.

04:34The gusts of wind in the areas of Batangas and Barm will decrease by Monday.

04:42In terms of rainfall, we still expect significant amounts of rainfall in the next three days

04:52brought by the southwest monsoon that is being described as a typhoon.

04:56So 100 to 200 millimeters of rainfall, this is the heavy to intense rainfall that we expect

05:01in the areas of Mimaropa, Western Visayas, and Negros Occidental.

05:06In terms of rainfall, we will experience heavy to intense rainfall in Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas,

05:13Southern portion of Quezon, here in Cabiculan, many parts of Visayas, Misamis Occidental,

05:19Zamboanga del Norte, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur,

05:26Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, Basilan, Sulu, and Satawitawi.

05:32The rainfall brought by the typhoon will gradually decrease, especially in the areas of Mindanao

05:38and the central and eastern sections of Visayas, starting tomorrow morning to Monday morning.

05:43However, heavy to intense rainfall will continue in the areas of Occidental Mindoro,

05:49Northern portion of Palawan, Aklan, and Antique.

05:52Meanwhile, we expect moderate to heavy rains in the southern portion of Quezon,

05:57whole of Cabiculan, many parts of Mimaropa, Negros Island Region, and many parts of Western Visayas.

06:06The rainfall brought by the typhoon will decrease until Monday morning to Tuesday morning,

06:11especially in the areas of Quezon and Negros Oriental.

06:17However, heavy to intense rains will continue in the areas of Occidental Mindoro and Northern portion of Palawan.

06:24Moderate to heavy rains will continue in the areas of Mimaropa, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Alabay,

06:30Sorsogon, Masbate, Negros Occidental, and Western Visayas.

06:35Compared to the mentioned areas, for the next three days,

06:37it is still possible for us to increase our participation in the regional centers.

06:42It is still possible to issue heavy rainfall warnings or rainfall advisories.

06:47Compared to the mentioned areas, let us continue to be ready and alert to the dangers of flooding and landslides

06:53because we expect that the rains that we will experience in the next three days

06:59will continue to fall heavily, especially in the areas of Southern Luzon and Visayas.

07:05As of 5 a.m. today, we do not have any high-level gale warnings,

07:11but we still have to be careful with our fellow fishermen,

07:16especially in the seaboards of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

07:20Due to the continued effects of the floods,

07:22it is still possible for us to experience moderate to rough sea conditions

07:26up to high altitudes.
