00:00The young Dipertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim warned that he will withdraw federal awards, medals

00:07and honors from any recipient who commits a crime, tarnishes the country's image or

00:13is punished by the courts.

00:16The king said those selected for awards and honors should be honest and trustworthy to

00:21the government, mind their behavior and not be involved in corrupt activities and crime.

00:27He said he has instructed the government to check the list of inmates in all prisons

00:33to identify any who hold federal awards or honors, as he intends to revoke them.

00:39However, he said this applies only to federal awards and honors, and he will not interfere

00:45with honors conferred by other states.

00:49Sultan Ibrahim also revealed that some individuals personally lobbied him for the awards carrying

00:54the Tansri and Datuk titles, but he chose not to entertain them.

01:00He said every nomination submitted by the government will be scrutinized with awards

01:04granted only to those truly deserving based on their contributions to the government,

01:09community and country.
