00:00Thanks for joining us, Kate, at Windy Colton. Today you had a great win in the Open Neville Elimination Final against Norcay. How are you feeling?
00:07Yeah, I'm feeling really proud of the girls. It was a brilliant, almost close to 60-minute performance and probably one of the better games we've played all year.
00:15So I'm glad they were able to save a fantastic performance in the first week of finals and give us some real momentum heading into next week.
00:21What did you think you did particularly well today?
00:23I thought that we jumped them at the start, which was probably really important. We didn't really know what was going to happen with the weather throughout the game, so getting a strong lead was fantastic.
00:33But our ability to capitalise on turnovers was what gave us a really good opportunity to put some scoreboard pressure on today.
00:40And I was really happy with their intent. I liked that they slowed down the tempo when they had to, but they also powered through when we had the momentum.
00:46So a great performance from the girls today.
00:48And yourself, you came back as coach this year. It must be nice to go to the finals and win your first season.
00:53Yeah, it is. Yeah, a bit of a relief to be honest. We finished fourth and were probably expected to win today, but we never underestimated North, regardless of the line-up.
01:03They've got, I think, Addison Kanady played in goal attack for them and she's a brilliant player.
01:10So we knew they were going to be without Sky, but we knew that they had stock to come back into.
01:15But yeah, really proud to get the win today and we've had some success today.
01:19All three netball teams have won for Warrnambool, so I'm looking forward to going into next week with a few more teams that won yesterday as well.
01:26Thanks so much for the week too.
