Watch: Warrnambool netballer Carly Peake after the Blues' round two win
Transcript
00:00 Thanks for joining us Carly, you played your second game back for Warrnambool, how are you feeling?
00:04 Yeah pretty good, just trying to ease into it coming back into the competition after a few years off.
00:10 Slow and steady for me and just trying to find my feet. Really enjoying it though, it's great.
00:15 And you teamed up with Amy Wormald in the goals today, how did you find that?
00:20 Yeah good fun, I've played a lot of basketball with Amy so we've always teamed well.
00:24 She's pretty easy to feed and I know how to feed her.
00:27 Had a little bit of a go last week towards the end of the game and thought give it a go again this week.
00:32 So yeah, I think we work well together.
00:34 And where do you see your role going forward for the side?
00:37 Look I'm not really sure, played a few positions already, obviously without Eva so just feeling a bit of a void there at the moment.
00:46 But sort of a bit back in wing defence, maybe a bit in the middle but just happy to do whatever Kate and the team require.
00:52 And as you said it's been a while since you've played Hampton League, how have you found it coming back into the competition?
00:58 Yeah look it's a totally different competition to the District League.
01:01 Obviously we had those few COVID years, then a couple of kids back to back and then last season in the District League.
01:07 So yeah it'll probably take me half the season to find my feet and as I said just slow and steady.
01:12 But different style, different pace, you know it's a lot of high energy.
01:17 So yeah totally different, so I'm just sort of cruising through trying to see what I can do.
01:23 Well always the best of luck for the rest of the year.
01:25 Thank you.
01:26 Thank you.
