00:00Hey friends, I'm Stacey and this is Gorgeously Aging and today we're going to talk about

00:08my absolute favorite sunscreens for any skin but especially mature skin.

00:14The sunscreens I'm going to share with you today are ones that I have purchased over

00:17and over and always have on hand and at the end of the video I'm going to show you my

00:21absolute go-to that is so beautiful.

00:24For those of you brand new, I'm a master in medical aesthetician with a passion for skin

00:29care and aging gorgeously.

00:31So many of you know the biggest aggressor for skin aging is UV damage but don't worry

00:36if you already have sun damage, it is never too late to start protecting your skin.

00:41When I was young, it was back in the days of tanning beds and using baby oil and absolutely

00:46frying your skin and getting as dark tan as you could.

00:50When I got into my 20s, I definitely started taking better care of my skin.

00:54So I'm going to start with one of my OG favorites.

00:56It's still a favorite of mine and I still keep it on hand and it's great for mature

01:00skin.

01:01This is the Elta MD UV Daily.

01:04This one is tinted.

01:05Now, I want to show you this because it does have hyaluronic acid.

01:08It is a beautiful formula and it blends in gorgeously on the skin and imparts a really

01:15pretty glow and it looks wonderful under makeup.

01:17It is extremely hydrating.

01:20So if you do have oilier skin, this might not be the product for you.

01:25If you don't like a tinted sunscreen and just want something that's more sheer and

01:29clear, the La Roche-Posay.

01:31This is the Anthelios sunscreen.

01:34This is a mineral sunscreen that blends in beautifully.

01:38Let me just show you the consistency of this.

01:40It is very fluid and it rubs in again gorgeously.

01:47Now the thing with the non-tinted is they will look a little bit white at first, but

01:53once they're blended in, they don't look white at all.

01:56You guys can see I have a little bit of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation here and that is from eczema

02:02that I get on my wrist.

02:03I have it on both sides of my hands because I get eczema there.

02:06So I do try to protect that area from the sun as well.

02:09My face, neck, chest, back of hands, and onto my forearms.

02:14This one does come in a tinted formula as well.

02:16So if you like a clear formula, they have that in the tinted formula as well.

02:21The same thing with the Elta MD UV Daily.

02:23It also comes in a non-tinted formula.

02:26So last summer, this was my go-to and it is the Biossance Squalene and Zinc Sheer Mineral

02:33Sunscreen.

02:34This is a beautiful sunscreen.

02:35It is very nourishing on the skin.

02:37Squalene oil is such an incredible humectant.

02:40And this one is non-tinted.

02:44And let me just show you how that one rubs in.

02:46This one, again, is beautiful as far as its texture.

02:49It's not thick.

02:51It rubs in just incredibly.

02:53It doesn't take long or much effort and doesn't leave a white cast.

02:57I love all the Biossance products and this one will not disappoint.

03:01So for a drugstore product, this is one I always have on hand.

03:05This is the CeraVe Face Sheer Tint.

03:08This again is tinted and it is mineral.

03:11And I'm just going to show you, I always have this one on hand as well.

03:14In fact, I have two of them right now.

03:16I'm always sharing skincare products with my daughters.

03:19But you can see that this blends in without any trouble at all.

03:23It gives a nice glow.

03:24It has some hydration.

03:27Beautiful ingredients and really good sun protection.

03:30This is SPF 30.

03:32I really like using the less expensive ones on my chest since there's more surface area

03:37and I do have a little bit more hyperpigmentation.

03:41So sometimes I'll use this on my chest and something else that's a little more expensive

03:44on my face and neck.

03:46It just depends on how budget minded I'm being that day.

03:49But this one is such a good price and really good coverage.

03:53You almost don't need to have any type of foundation with this.

03:56You can just do the tinted sunscreen, maybe a little bit of bronzer and go about your

04:01day.

04:02Alright you guys, this sunscreen does not get enough love but it's absolutely incredible.

04:06This is the Josie Maran sunscreen and this is called the Argan Daily Defense Lotion SPF

04:1230.

04:13This is also tinted and a beautiful formula with argan oil that is so nourishing and hydrating

04:19for mature skin.

04:21You guys, as we get depleted on estrogen, we need all the hydration we can to keep our

04:25skin bouncy and firm.

04:27And these, let me use the other arm, this is incredible.

04:33This one is a non-tinted formula and this one doesn't rub in quite as fast as some but

04:39you can see it doesn't take long.

04:41I actually really like the tinted version of that so let me grab the tinted and show

04:45you the tinted for comparison.

04:47Alright so there's the tinted and you can see it rubs in beautifully and gives such

04:57a pretty healthy glow to the skin.

05:00Now on the face you can definitely let this absorb and then it's not so shiny after several

05:04minutes but it does give a beautiful hydrated look and you can top it with makeup or a little

05:09powder if you want to knock down the shine.

05:11I also don't see this talked about very often but it is incredible.

05:14This is the Hot Protection by Avene and this is SPF 50 and it's a compact.

05:20I like to keep these in my purse and you'll see that I've used most of this up and I have

05:25another brand new one ready to go with a new pad and this is just beautiful.

05:33Now it doesn't look as dark as what you see it in the compact, that's what it looks like.

05:40And let me just use the one that I've already been using in my purse.

05:44This covers hyperpigmentation, it gives you 50 SPF, it is so wonderful to just put on

05:52on the go, it's kind of like a hybrid makeup SPF, it is mineral, but look at how it takes

06:02down that hyperpigmentation on my chest.

06:05So I love having this one in my purse and just for touch ups.

06:15Now I've got one more before my holy grail, the one I reach for almost every day lately

06:20and this one is a hybrid product because it's a cream with SPF.

06:24This is the Perricone MD Vitamin C Ester Photo Brightening Moisturizer.

06:30This is an incredible product you guys, I absolutely love it.

06:33You're getting your Vitamin C Ester, skin brightening, anti-wrinkle, improving collagen

06:39production and SPF 30 in one product.

06:42You can use it as a two in one cream SPF, I usually use it and then also top it with

06:46extra SPF just because I'm such a freak about sun protection, but you definitely don't have

06:52to.

06:53Vitamin C Ester is about 400 times more potent than just Vitamin C alone, but this is not

06:58irritating.

06:59The face that this comes in is very nourishing, so definitely test it out, but I tend to be

07:04a little sensitive to strong ingredients and this one doesn't bother my skin at all.

07:09I use it every day and then I do top it with a tinted sunscreen.

07:13Again you wouldn't have to, it's enough sunscreen as long as you have SPF 30 or more, that's

07:19enough sunscreen providing that you are topping it off throughout the day.

07:22Alright you guys, my holy grail of sunscreens is the Color Science Flex Sunscreen.

07:28This is so beautiful and I honestly, I have it on today and I don't have any type of foundation

07:33on.

07:34It serves as my sunscreen and my makeup.

07:36It is SPF 50 and it is a mineral sunscreen.

07:40Let me just show you this because it is so beautiful.

07:45So it comes out white, but then just watch the magic happen, it blends into the skin

07:51absolutely seamlessly.

07:54So it's great for covering hyperpigmentation, evening out skin tone, hydrating the skin,

08:00giving you wonderful sun protection, and also serving as a very beautiful light foundation

08:07that is breathable and skin like.

08:09Funny story, my daughter Abby, I had two of these and she took one, one of them was like

08:13halfway used and I had a new one and I said go ahead and use a new one, let me know what

08:17you think of it while she used it.

08:18And then she's like mom can you, she's 18 now, she's like mom can you buy me another

08:22one of those Flex sunscreens.

08:24Now she's working, she has a job, and I said if you love it you have to buy it yourself

08:28because this is a little bit higher priced product and I said if not you're gonna have

08:32to find something that fits into your budget.

08:34So I do find her sneaking down to my bathroom to borrow this sometimes but she hasn't taken

08:39it and so I think she's accepting the fact that her budget isn't allowing for some of

08:43the higher end products.

08:45She's definitely making some good money this summer so if she really loves it she can splurge

08:49on it herself.
