00:00Aaron Rodgers, you know, 167 yards.
00:06This has been like a theme in the NFL, like the quarterbacks
00:08throwing for under 200 yards across the board.
00:10It's sort of not just Rodgers, but bizarre to see this.
00:13And then all of a sudden, you know, the flip side of this
00:16was to see what happened on the side of the San Francisco
00:1949ers, Matt, which is sometimes you're going to get players
00:24that perform when they replace others, but I guess I would
00:28have to ask you this, Matt.
00:29Are we seeing what reminds me of and I don't know how far
00:32back you go with reality and fantasy here, but it sure
00:35seems like whoever is the running back for the 49ers is
00:39like the running back for the Denver Broncos many years
00:42ago when Terrell Davis was playing and Mike Anderson and
00:45Orlando's Gary and it just didn't matter who it was.
00:49They were like the number one running back in fantasy
00:52football.
00:52I mean, I have to feel that way at this point, nothing
00:56against Mason, but a hundred forty-seven yards against
00:59the Jets in a touchdown.
01:00I think the numbers are incredible.
01:03Yeah, he was running all over him.
01:04And yeah, you mentioned those guys Ruben Giroux, Tatum Bell.
01:07I mean, we can keep going on.
01:09I mean, it's the Shanahan connection and that's just
01:12what it feels like and you know, Jordan Mason came into
01:15that game with a career of 5.6 yards per carry.
01:18He's always been a very tough runner.
01:20He's always been good when called upon in small doses,
01:23you know, you mentioned the yardage, which was impressive,
01:25but 2028 carries, you know, that's what I'm looking at.
01:28The fact that he just kept getting the ball and he kept
01:31pounding it and kept doing well, you know, they it felt
01:34like they were running Debo Samuel a lot too and he wasn't
01:37having quite as much success running the ball.
01:39But yeah, certainly Jordan Mason was and yeah, that's just
01:43what they do.
01:43They run the ball.
01:44They run the ball effectively.
01:46It's why getting Trent Williams in there was so important
01:49that guy's the rock to that whole team as far as I'm
01:51concerned, certainly on the offensive line and they can
01:54just do it and when they have talented running backs, you
01:57know, they unearth guys like Jordan Mason who are tough
02:00runners and who just, you know, can go at a moment's notice.
02:03That's when you know, this is a really dangerous team and
02:06it'll be really interesting to see if they try to bring
02:08Christian McCaffrey back week two.
02:10They're playing a game against Minnesota.
02:12It's on the road, but nonetheless the team you expect
02:14to be even though they look pretty good in week one, you
02:16know, do you need Christian McCaffrey?
02:18I don't think you ever want to take anything for granted.
02:21We saw them lose in Minnesota last year in a similar
02:24situation with some banged up players like that, but you
02:27know, they might try to give him another rest, sneak him
02:30through and focus on getting him healthy for the rest of
02:33the season.
