00:00I need to get to tonight's games and you reminded me because you told me that they're doing
00:07that stale bit on the pregame show where they show Robert Sala running up and down the steps
00:13at the stadium.
00:14So that reminded me that we do have to get to tonight's game at some point.
00:18Enough of the guy running about this guy on his stairs.
00:22Like what do I give a flying off this guy when a game game ritual and training like
00:28I'm watching this guy running stairs like what is next.
00:35Final two game Seahawks beat the Broncos 26 20.
00:38I'm not expecting much out of either of those teams this year Scotty after watching that
00:43game that game was ugly for long stretches the Seahawks and the Broncos.
00:49So God bless and good luck if you're a fan of those teams.
00:53I was impressed with Tampa.
00:56Four touchdowns for Baker Mayfield 37 to 20.
00:59They won.
01:00And I know that everybody's already crowned Atlanta as the champs of the NFC South.
01:05Scotty I know that was done months ago that they're automatically winning that division
01:10but Tampa won it last year and Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans they don't look like they're
01:17giving it up right now the way they look yesterday.
01:21That was easy money.
01:22I mean honestly like how many games do I have to hit.
01:25That was easy money that the Saints I mean just Dallas I mean Pittsburgh and I don't
01:31don't don't don't I mean I just my account was just like spinning money spinning it out.
01:37And finally for you we have not been together since Friday night.
01:41Of course the Eagles beat the Packers in Brazil.
01:43The big thing there was Jordan Love getting hurt at the end of that game for Green Bay
01:48MCL sprain.
01:50He's going to miss minimum four to six weeks.
01:53We'll see if it's even longer is that again.
01:56When you get an NFL injury usually side on the longer side than the shorter side when
02:02it comes to this stuff.
02:03They have their job to do that.
02:05That's a record right there six weeks.
02:08I mean what's left after that 11 weeks.
02:11So they're going to have to win like 80 percent of the games from week seven till week 18.
02:18I mean honestly because they're going to lose.
02:21They already have lost.
02:22I'm going to lose more right.
02:24It feels like when something like this happens and your starting quarterback is going to
02:28be gone for a month or more and in this case let's just call it six weeks.
02:32You have to hope and this is why you need to hope you have a backup quarterback that
02:36can minimum keep you at 500 like hold water.
02:41Try to go three and three until the other guy gets back.
02:43Try to keep the season somewhat alive.
02:46There's a problem though Scotty.
02:48They have Malik Willis and Sean Clifford.
02:51I just have a quarterback behind them.
02:53They have allegedly talked to Ryan Tannehill about dragging him out from his porch where
02:59he's sitting on enjoying a nice cool summer breeze.
03:03They have an eliminated.
03:05Yeah that's that.
03:06They need to get him because we saw Malik Willis in Tennessee.
03:11Nothing against Malik but he's not very good.
03:13He's not very good at all.
03:14Right.
03:16Tannehill's you know what Tannehill is he's he's frankly Joe Flacco.
03:20I mean he can he can play right and he knows how to play and you know the problem I have
03:25with him is he's old now and slow and everything but so was Joe and I thought Joe played great
03:30for the Browns last year and if he has to play for the Colts this year which I bet he
03:33will because Richard said he'll get hurt again the way he runs the ball.
03:37Look I'm telling you they got to do something or if they're just going to wait for him to
03:43come back I'd say I mean there's a chance I know this sounds insane but there's a chance
03:51that that injury in Brazil ruins their season.
03:55I agree.
03:56That's how bad it could be for them especially with their quarterback situation.
03:58All right.
03:59Let's get to tonight.
04:00We'll start it off.
04:01Monday night football final game of week number one it is in San Francisco as we were just
04:06saying Robert Sala the Jets Aaron Rodgers heading west to take on the defending NFC
04:13champion 49ers.
04:15We'll start with Sal of course who used to work for Kyle Shanahan as the defensive coordinator
04:19in San Fran.
04:20You'll hear about that six thousand times tonight.
04:22But there are high expectations for this New York Jet team.
04:25What does Sal think about managing those?
04:27Stay in the moment you know the noise is going to be the noise whether if you win the messaging
04:35will be one way and if you lose it's going to be another way no matter how hard you try
04:38to control it.
04:39So stay in the moment focus on what you've got control over and everything will take
04:42care of itself.
04:43Yeah I think this guy's future is doomed.
04:46I do not think he's a good football coach.
04:49I think that he was an assistant and he was good at that and as a head coach I think he's
04:53been an atrocity and no one cares at all about him talking about noise and anything else.
05:02He hasn't done anything.
05:03Let me tell you something.
05:04They will never win a game because of him.
05:08OK.
05:09They're going to win because of Aaron Rodgers.
05:11Aaron Rodgers is the head coach of the Jets.
05:14This guy is a joke.
05:15He has not done anything in New York except lose.
05:19What has he done.
05:20I mean honestly I mean honestly like let's stop with all the bullshit.
05:25This guy listening to him is a waste of time because no one listens to him his team doesn't
05:30listen to him.
05:31The media doesn't listen to him.
05:33I can't even believe we're listening to him to be honest with you.
05:35He's awful and you can quote me on that.
05:38The only thing that will keep them from winning is him.
05:42Let Aaron Rodgers run the show and they'll win some games.
05:46Aaron Rodgers is legit.
05:48There's no denying that he's legit but he's also 40 some years old and he's old.
05:54He is old news.
05:55Trust me.
05:56Now everyone thinks they're going straight to the Super Bowl with this old quarterback.
05:59Let's see.
06:00We'll see tonight won't we.
06:01Well I mean he could go out there and give them problems.
06:05The guy's a good quarterback.
06:06There's no denying he's good.
06:08But I will never say that Robert Sala is good at being a head coach.
06:13Well here he is Scotty of course after missing all of last year.
06:17Little chip on Rodgers shoulder.
06:19He's heard a lot from the media etc.
06:21I don't know why they're bumping him all up now he shouldn't have any chip.
06:25Here's Aaron Rodgers.
06:26Coach also said to ask you if you were playing with a chip.
06:29He asked him.
06:30Oh.
06:31So he said ask Aaron.
06:32I mean how do you not you know I mean I've always kind of played with something on my
06:36shoulder.
06:37You got to you know manufacture things from time to time but yeah I mean it kind of goes
06:42back to the prove it who do I need to prove to just myself at this point so but I have
06:48a lot of pride in my performance so when I take the field I expect greatness and because
06:53I've done it before and so that's kind of standard to hold myself to.
06:58Listen I'll give him credit.
07:00He's had a great career and he's got one ring and nobody's taking it away from him.
07:06So you know I think people think he should have four or five rings and that's just not
07:10happening ever.
07:11It's not happening.
07:12He's 41.
07:13So he's not winning five Super Bowls.
07:18He's got one and he beat my Steelers.
07:20It is what it is.
07:21But you know I think that a lot of people think that despite all of his magnificent
07:26stats that at the end of the day his career has been a disappointment.
07:29I mean let's face facts when everybody when you win multiple MVPs you're the best player
07:34in the league and you got one ring and thank God he's got one.
07:38At least he doesn't have to go to his grave not winning one like Dan Marino.
07:42I mean honestly like Dan Marino you think he should have won four or five of them himself.
07:47How great he was.
07:48This guy's lucky he's got one.
07:51I really don't see him winning one even with this team the Jets that everybody thinks is
07:55going to the Super Bowl.
07:56They never go.
07:57They never do it.
07:58So let's see him do it.
08:01He's lucky he's got that one as you say because he's not getting another one.
08:06Yeah he's not getting another one.
08:08Not here.
08:09I don't think so.
08:10That's for sure.
08:11For tonight the Niners minus four and a half forty three and a half is the total.
08:20I'm on the Niners tonight Scotty at home.
08:22I'm on the Niners.
08:23Yeah I mean look it's dangerous I guess in some capacity because like this guy is so
08:33good like he's like Stafford.
08:35He has the ability to strike at it like he's like a rattlesnake.
08:39The guy can strike at a like just flick your finger and he'll he'll strike.
08:43He can score in an instant.
08:46He can backdoor you.
08:48He can burn you.
08:50He can fourth quarter.
08:51Yeah.
08:52He can overtime.
08:53Yeah.
08:54He can do you.
08:55He has that ability.
08:56So given that guy four and a half is a dangerous way to make a living.
08:58But I do think the Niners are allegedly the you know cream of the NFC.
09:06It's you know Detroit and San Francisco right.
09:08Those are the two best teams in the in the NFC.
09:11Is there anyone arguing that point.
09:13And you're taking on a team that's the biggest hype machine on paper I've ever seen in my
09:19life.
09:20They lost 10 games and we're listening to people tell me they're going to.
09:23He's back.
09:24So I'm on the Niners too.
09:25But anything's possible with Aaron Rodgers on the field.
09:29I think that we could say I agree with that maybe a few years ago.
09:33I think that off of playing for snaps in the last year and a half I think we got to see
09:39it to believe it now at 40 almost 41 years old and not playing for a year and a half.
09:44I don't know if that old coming down and back door and your stuff is there anymore.
09:49Let's see if it's there.
09:50And if it's there and I see that tonight fine I'll play a little bit more cautiously going
09:54forward.
09:55And I'm going to go after it.
09:56They got McCaffrey.
09:57They got Kittle.
09:58They got Debo.
09:59They got Iuke.
10:00And I got to tell you another thing.
10:03Can I just say this.
10:04I am I am about up to here with these stories about Brandon Iuke still going to the Steelers.
10:10I mean honestly like shut the F up already.
10:14They are still breaking yesterday.
10:16Yesterday two networks broke stories that he was this close to going to the Steelers.
10:22Who cares.
10:24He didn't take it or leave it.
10:28He is a niner.
10:29Why are we still talking about Brandon Iuke going to the Steelers.
10:33It is the most embarrassing story of the summer in football in this country has been the absolute
10:41butchering of the Brandon Iuke story from day one.
10:45And it's still going on.
10:46They're still talking about him being a Steeler up until kickoff tonight.
10:51And you know we're going to hear tonight during the game don't you.
10:53He was this close to being a Steeler.
10:55And they can't they can't stop and they can't help themselves.
10:58It's the dumbest story I've ever seen in my life.
11:01I'm sick and tired of it.
