00:09And some of us are really passionate about it.

00:13But how can we be a successful content creator?

00:16And how can we earn from this?

00:18How can we turn passion into profit?

00:25When it comes to digital marketing and his expertise in strategy,

00:30creativity, and brand partnerships,

00:32he is the ideal guide for aspiring content creators

00:36who want to turn their passion into profit.

00:39And because of that, let's talk this morning.

00:59So, Chico, as we celebrate the Philippine Creative Industries Month,

01:02what are the opportunities you see for aspiring content creators here in the Philippines?

01:10You know, I'm here to deliver good news.

01:12There's really never been a better time to be a content creator in this country.

01:17Right now, there's a huge demand for aspiring creators.

01:22And there's a lot of demand for digital media, content creation, meetup,

01:26and all kinds of skills that you can offer from music to arts.

01:30There are a lot of brands and businesses looking for that.

01:33And there are a lot of creators who are aspiring now.

01:37And as we celebrate what you said, the Philippine Creative Industries Month,

01:43one proof of that is that last year, we earned 1.72 trillion pesos

01:50and that contributed to our Philippine economy.

01:53Because of these content creators, because of the talents that we have in the country,

01:58from singers to videographers to media people, and even you guys,

02:04even hosts and talent programs like this.

02:08And overall, that also contributed 7.1 employees and contracts in our country.

02:18So whether you are making videos, into making videos, writing, or any kind of creative work,

02:24there's really a place for you.

02:26And it's really profitable this year.

02:29Alright, Chico, from your experience working with brands and creators,

02:33what kind of content do you think is in demand right now?

02:40Right.

02:41So right now, brands prefer authentic, raw, and relatable content.

02:48The less production, the better.

02:52As of the moment, we know from our feed, short videos and reels are king right now.

02:58You've seen it on TikTok and Instagram reels, right?

03:01But here's my insight for you.

03:03As someone who's in the digital space and in the connection between brands,

03:10we are seeing a huge potential in the long-form content format,

03:16which focuses more on storytelling, high-quality editing,

03:20and positioning yourself so that you can watch it at home, on your couch, in your living room,

03:25and you watch these videos.

03:26And the better quality there is of video available,

03:29the higher the income will be when this platform pays you.

03:34And people really love content at the end of the day

03:37because it teaches them something or entertains them.

03:40You may focus on showing lifestyle, local cuisines here in the Philippines,

03:46and usually, it's popular now with walk-out experiences, especially in our country.

03:51I've seen videos who are earning millions right now.

03:54What they do is they just make videos in one city, they just walk around,

03:58and you immerse yourself watching it on your TV,

04:02like, oh, I'm traveling now.

04:05But of course, don't forget also that there are niche topics that are high right now,

04:10and usually, these niche topics are the ones with the strongest engagement.

04:17Alright. Chico, there are a lot of people who are interested in becoming a content creator,

04:21but they don't know how or where to start.

04:25What are the pieces of advice that you can give to an individual

04:29who is just starting his content creation journey?

04:33Simple lang. I want you to start where you're passionate about.

04:37And start with whatever you have right now, even your phone.

04:41You can start creating content using your phone.

04:44Lahat kaya ng mag-video, lahat kaya ng mag-audio record, kaya ng mag-voiceover.

04:49So this is the perfect time talaga to recreate content

04:53and start contributing your creativity to the world.

04:56You don't really need to focus on or worry much on your fancy equipments.

05:01Kayang-kayang mo magagawa yan.

05:03And the more you create, the better you'll get.

05:05Kasi marami ako narinig na parang nag-post lang sila ng 5 content,

05:10tapos hindi kumita or hindi napansin ng brands, nari-discourage sila.

05:13I just want to encourage everyone who wants to aspire or wants to create their own content

05:19or to be a content creator to just keep on creating.

05:22Kasi the more you do it, the better your content will be.

05:28And really, authenticity is really what connects with people.

05:32So just be yourself.

05:33Alright, you mentioned na kailangan continue o patuloy sa pagka-create ng mga content.

05:38Well, ano-ano bang skills ang dapat na matutukan o ma-develop

05:42ng aspiring content creators para mapanatili silang competitive sa market?

05:49Alam mo, tayo mga Pilipino, likas sa atin yung mga makuwento.

05:54So what I'm gonna say is storytelling really is important.

05:58No matter what type of content you're creating.

06:01Either it's video, either it's a book you're writing, it's a poem you're writing.

06:06Storytelling really is important here.

06:09And for videos and for content creators who wants to post content online,

06:16at the very least, basic editing and ways to improve your content is king right now.

06:21Kasi as I mentioned earlier, kung gusto mong mag-set apart ka sa mga iba pang content creators out there

06:30and mas mapansin ka ng mga brands, kailangan mo ng konting effort din para mas mapaganda yung content mo.

06:36So higher quality microphones and good editing.

06:40Pero yung ngayon, again, you can always start with whatever you have.

06:44And at the end of the day, just develop your personal brand.

06:47Pakilala mo kung sino ka and pakilala mo kung ano yung unique sa'yo.

06:50Okay. Marami na mga successful influencers ang kumikita sa pamagitan ng kanila mga content online.

06:56So papaano naman kaya yung mga bagong content creators, Chico?

07:00Papaano ba nila masisimulan na mamonetize yung kanila mga gawa or content,

07:04kahit hindi pa ganun kataas yung kanilang following?

07:09Alam mo, yan yung common misconception.

07:11Nakakala nila, papansin ka lang ng brands kapag mataas ang following nila.

07:16Even if you start with small following, okay na, okay na yan.

07:20You can start making money by connecting with your audience and connecting with brands nga that you wanted to connect with.

07:27I just want you to focus on really building that genuine connection with your audience.

07:32And kahit maliit lang yung audience mo, connect ka lang na connect sa kanila.

07:36Right now, affiliate marketing is huge.

07:39So you've seen this, 9.9 sale.

07:41Ang daming mga nagpapusang mga kanya-kanya unboxing, kanya-kanya promotion ng products.

07:46And the way they earn there is once nakita mo yung content na gustohan mo, na-entertain ka,

07:52you go to the yellow basket or you add to cart.

07:55Right there, meron ka ng percentage na income.

07:58And it's really high right now kasi marami yung brands ngayon ang nagahanap talaga ng content creators.

08:04Some content creators naman, ang ginagawa nila kung hindi sila makakuha ng affiliate or brands,

08:09sila mismo yung gumagawa ng sarili nila ng products.

08:12Para yung audience na meron na sila, na fans, fan nila or fan sila or meron na silang followers talaga na talagang nag-enjoy ng content nila.

08:23Once they start promoting their product or their brand, mas madali na magco-convert yan into sales.

08:29And really the key here is to offer something valuable naman talaga at the end of the day.

08:34And just be patient. It really takes time to build and to build up.

08:38Pero eventually, magugulat ka na lang.

08:42Brands will notice you, your audience will notice you, and whatever you sell will be converting soon.

08:51Ang dami ko natutunan na kay Chico.

08:53Authenticity, consistency, the power of storytelling, at saka yung genuine connection sa followers mo.

09:00Parang kasi kailangan paramdam natin sa mga manonood na parang katabi lang natin sila sa sala at nag-chichikahan tayo.

09:07Well anyway Chico, mensayo paalala na lamang para sa ating mga ka-RSP, lalo na sa mga aspiring content creator.

09:16Again, I'm inviting everyone to start creating content.

09:21Kasi nowadays talagang in-demand yan.

09:24And ako mismo as part of my business and as an advertising agency owner myself,

09:29marami kaming hinahanap ng mga influencers, NKOLs, or influencers as you call it, on a regular basis.

09:35So kung sino pa yung mas niche sa lugar nila,

09:38kunyari talagang sobrang yung tungkal naka-focus sa isang city mo, the better for us.

09:42So start creating, really start creating.

09:46Parang na-encourage sa tuloy tayo na magano, gawa ng mga content online.

09:50Tuloy dapat, yung mga content sa tayo. Kailangan pala tuloy-tuloy.
