00:00The launch of the new Bayaning Magsasaka or BBM-Rice in Gabat Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija was a success.

00:08It's only P29 per kilo, it's affordable and of good quality.

00:11The government brought it to our countrymen.

00:14This is what Mela Lesmora reported.

00:18Rodrigo has been a farmer in Nueva Ecija for 20 years.

00:22His story is that he's close to finding a way to make a living.

00:27It's a good thing that the government is always there to help them.

00:32One of the government's programs for people like Rodrigo is the Rice Contract Farming Program

00:38where the National Irrigation Administration helps farmers from production to the sale of rice for a more productive harvest.

00:49This is a big help for us as farmers.

00:52We help small farmers like us to sell rice.

01:00Today, as a result of the Rice Contract Farming Program of NIA,

01:05the new Bayaning Magsasaka or BBM-Rice was successfully launched in the country

01:10which was also held on the day of President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr.

01:15NIA Administrator Eduardo Guillen led the grand launching ceremony

01:20which was held in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

01:24House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio Don Gonzales, Jr.

01:33and Appropriations Committee Chair Elizaldi Co. also attended the ceremony.

01:36Compared to ordinary rice, BBM-Rice is only P29 per kilo that can be purchased at NIA regional offices.

01:45Today, our beloved President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr. was able to deliver high quality rice to Filipinos.

02:02This is also a way for our agency to thank our new Bayaning Magsasaka for being a part of this program.

02:14Aside from the sale of BBM-Rice, the President also launched here

02:20the various local products in the province.

02:24And because it is the President's birthday,

02:26the leaders of the House of Representatives held the sale and gave it to the people.

02:32A message from the congressmen to President Marquez,

02:35To our beloved President, we wish you health, we wish you to continue your vision,

02:41we are all out in support for you, take care of yourself, do not work too hard on your birthday.

02:46You know, during his father's time, how much he loved the farmers,
