00:00Good morning, and we are here to monitor Ophel.

00:06Ophel became a typhoon just now at 2 o'clock in the early morning.

00:13Currently, Ophel is still in the East Philippine Sea,

00:18and it continues to move closer to the coast,

00:21and it may hit the Northern Region again.

00:26Currently, the distance of the center of the typhoon Ophel

00:33is 475 kilometers east-northeast of Birac, Catanuanes.

00:40It became a typhoon, so the strong wind

00:44close to its center is reaching 120 kilometers per hour,

00:50and the storm is at 150 kilometers per hour.

00:55The movement of the typhoon is very fast, at 25 kilometers per hour.

01:03When it comes to the track and intensity forecast of the typhoon,

01:09the movement is north-westward, and it may hit the Northern Luzon.

01:17From now until it hits the land,

01:22we expect it to remain in the typhoon category.

01:31It may hit the land on Thursday,

01:37the day of Thursday, based on our forecast track.

01:45It may deviate from the forecast track

02:35Today, we expect moderate to heavy rains in Cagayan and Isabela.

02:42Tomorrow, we expect intense to torrential rains in Cagayan and Isabela.

02:56Heavy to intense rains in Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Apayao,

03:03Abra, Calinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.

03:08Moderate to heavy rains in Ilocos Sur, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and Aurora.

03:18As for Friday, November 15,

03:22we expect heavy to intense rains in Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Cagayan, and Batanes.

03:34Moderate to heavy rains in Ilocos Sur and Abra.

03:39Because of this, we should continue to be careful

03:44because of these rains, especially the intense rains,

03:49which will still result in flooding or landslides.

04:00We expect high waves of up to 2 to 3 meters

04:57which is currently maintaining its strong winds near its center,

05:02reaching 75 kilometers per hour.

05:06This storm is still very far, at 2,210 kilometers east of Visayas.

05:15This storm moves west-southwestward at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour.

05:25Here in the track and intensity forecast of Tropical Storm Manyi,

05:32you will notice that from now until the Philippine Area of Responsibility,

05:39the storm is expected to be strong and may reach the typhoon category.

05:45Based on this track, it is expected that on Thursday night or Thursday morning,

05:55it will be inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
