Durch irrtülichen upload einer "verbotenen" Dateil lebenslange Sperre. Wenn man z.B. irrtümlich bzw. aus Versehen einen Mord begeht, bkommt man mildernde Umstände zugesprochen. Nicht so bei Youtube. It´s a SHAME, YOUTUBE!!!

00:34I used to run the channel there with more than 4000 subscribers.
00:40My content focused on sharing my life experiences as a German Air Force officer and fighter pilot.
00:49For over 20 years I was a content creator with a spotless record.
00:56Then suddenly one day I was locked out of my channel.

01:05I must admit it was actually my fault.
01:09I didn't follow YouTube's rules and regulations.
01:13But it wasn't intentional. It was unintentional.
01:18Here is what went down.
01:22I used to edit my videos on a Windows PC and then upload them to YouTube.
01:29Since smartphones and tablets have become so powerful
01:34I wanted to start using the YouTube app on my smartphone more often.
01:42Uploading and downloading are essential functions for a content creator
01:48So I began practicing uploads.
01:52I looked for a small MP4 file to minimize the upload time.
01:58My mistake was selecting that file without checking its content.
02:04As soon as the upload finished, I was unable to access my YouTube channel anymore.
02:12Can you imagine the shock?
02:16It was more intense than anything I experienced in my entire flying career.
02:23Hundreds of videos and more than 20 years of work disappeared.
02:29Without warning.
02:32I was desperate. I tried everything, thinking the problem might be on my end.
02:38Or maybe I was just confused.
02:41Then a little later I got an email from YouTube.
02:46They accused me of uploading a video containing sexual content
02:51which violates the rules and regulations.
02:55I was given the option to explain what had happened
03:00and to appeal for my account to be reinstated.
03:04I began analyzing how this could have happened.
03:09The video in question turned out to be a short porn clip
03:13which I believe I received via WhatsApp.
03:18So I wrote a reply to YouTube explaining the situation,
03:23what had happened, making it clear that it was a genuine mistake
03:28and not intentional.
03:31I also pointed out that the upload was set to private or unlisted
03:36so there was no intent to publish it publicly.
03:41Why should I even do that?
03:45Long story short, my appeal was rejected.
03:49I am now permanently banned from YouTube,
03:52without any chance to correct the mistake.
03:56I can't even reach a human representative
04:00who could potentially understand my situation.
04:04It's all handled by automated systems.
04:08In my opinion, this lifetime ban is unjustified.
04:12It's far too severe, especially considering my spotless record
04:17on YouTube for over 20 years.
