00:00Hello, good afternoon. Well, it was a fairly chilly start in the south this morning, however
00:05elsewhere milder, cloudier and even fairly wet in some places. Now, why is this? Well,
00:11we've got this cold front, which is slowly sweeping its way towards the southeast of
00:14the country, and this is what's bringing in that cloud and those outbreaks of rain and
00:18drizzle. But to the far south, we have high pressure holding on, which is why it was a
00:22fairly clear start in the south and fairly chilly too. That front is fairly slow moving,
00:27so in northern parts of England, northern Wales likely to see a fairly cloudy day with
00:32some outbreaks of rain and drizzle, and this could be a little bit heavy at times across
00:36hilly areas. To the north of this, plenty of blustery showers moving their way eastwards
00:40across Scotland, and there could be some hail and thunder mixed in there too. In the south
00:45and southeast, it is still going to remain dry and fine, but perhaps a bit more cloud
00:48around compared to what there was yesterday. But temperatures improved once again, highs
00:53of 20, 21 in the southeast, but even to the north, with highs of 18, if you manage to
00:58avoid the showers, it will still feel pleasant in the sunshine. Now, heading into the evening,
01:03the front eventually moves its way towards the south. Most of the rain and drizzle will
01:07eventually fizzle out, becoming mainly confined to hilly areas, but there will still be plenty
01:12of cloud around across the south, and that means a milder night compared to recent nights.
01:17But to the north of this, clear skies and light winds, so likely to see a fair amount
01:21of mist and fog overnight, particularly in northwest England, where it could be fairly
01:24dense by the morning, so do take care for the Monday morning commute. And it is going
01:29to be feeling chillier too, so likely to see some rural frost in some areas. Now, as we
01:35head into Monday, we do eventually say goodbye to that cold front as it moves its way to
01:40the south, and this allows high pressure to build across the country, so lots of fine
01:44and settled weather to come for the new working week. So, a cloudy start across the south,
01:49but it will lift and break through the course of the morning, and any fog eventually dissipating
01:54too, although in those northwestern areas it could linger on for a little bit longer.
01:58But lots of fine and dry, settled weather, plenty of that autumnal sunshine, perhaps
02:02just a bit more in the way of high cloud by the time we reach the afternoon in the northwest.
02:07And temperatures improved once again, so feeling warm where you do catch that sunshine. Into
02:13the evening, where we see plenty of those clear skies, once again it is going to be
02:16feeling chilly and likely to see more of that mist and fog in places too, and more
02:21in the way of high cloud just pushing into the northwest. And if you want to know if
02:25that sunshine is sticking around, well don't forget you can always subscribe to our YouTube
