00:00It is expected that the initial target of net income of the Social Security System or SSS this year will be exceeded.

00:08According to the agency, this is due to the sudden increase in the contribution to their pension booster program.

00:17It is expected that up to 2 to 3 billion pesos will be added to the contribution of the Social Security System this year.

00:26According to SSS President and CEO, Rolando Macasait, this is due to the expected 4 million new SSS members.

00:33The high contribution to the Workers' Investment and Savings Program, or WISP, is also included in the contribution.

00:40It is included in the rebranding and is now called the Pension Booster, which is easier for the public to understand.

00:56As I understand it, the deposits for WISP or the Pension Booster was about 40 million a month.

01:03I think we're hitting over 100 million a month already.

01:07The expansion of SSS will continue with its members.

01:11This includes the inclusion of barangay officials who are not members of the GSIS,

01:15and the job order and contract of service of the workers to the local governments.

01:20According to Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma,

01:23it is important to bring the SSS program closer to more Filipinos.

01:27The SSS is really a mechanism for social protection.

01:32So for those who need it, they should reach as much as possible the areas that need that kind of service.

01:40At the same time, the SSS is expected to reach 140 billion pesos as its net income this year.

01:48The previous target was higher, which was 100 billion pesos.

01:52Based on the data of the SSS, as of July, the net income of the SSS is already more than 56 billion pesos.

01:58This is a large part of the contributions of the members and the investments of the SSS.

02:03And to do this, the SSS moved its branches to different parts of the country in malls where there is no single land.

02:10Meanwhile, at the same time of the SSS' 67th anniversary,

02:15the SSS launched their enhanced logo and redesigned website that is user-friendly and has a dedicated page for OFWs.

02:23While the SSS encouraged its members to join the agency's programs,

02:28including PTV, which was recognized as the best media partner of the broadcast national category at the return of the Bayan Awards.

02:36This is because of the contribution of the network in providing important information to the members,

02:41pensioners and other stakeholders when it comes to the agency's programs.

02:45PTV General Manager Toby Nebrida and PTV Anchor Dayan Querer personally accepted the recognition.

02:51It's very important that we are reminded of our mandate to provide adequate, immediate information that helps our people.

03:03And this is part of our mandate to help all agencies of our government, including the SSS.

03:13According to GM Nebrida, the support of the network will continue in the SSS' programs,

03:18including the recognition of the SSS' various collections, disbursements and accredited agents of the agency, including the top employers.
