00:00Previously on the Amazing Race Celebrity Edition, in Soweto, country stars Brooke and Adam
00:11came out on top.
00:12You are the first team to check in.
00:15But the wheels came off for comedian Pete and wife Bridget, who were lucky to survive.
00:24This is a non-elimination leg.
00:26It's virtual pit stop.
00:27I'd suggest you get on your way.
00:29Tonight, the race continues.
00:31Right here in the cradle of humankind in South Africa, the location for the sixth leg of
00:36the Amazing Race Australia.
00:38The wilds of Africa.
00:40This is a moment I think we remember forever.
00:42Let's eat, eh?
00:44Yeah!
00:45We'll bring our celebs closer together.
00:48You want to feel as though there's a nation pushing you on, rather than weighing you down.
00:53But one wrong move spells disaster.
00:57You're way behind now.
00:59That's very helpful.
01:00Who will be heading out of Africa?
01:03Oh.
01:04What?
01:05One of the cars just drove back.
01:06Really?
01:27Oh, there we go.
01:57The race continues.
01:58It's time to leave the hustle and bustle behind.
02:00Catch a taxi to Mapad Lane Village and search for your next clue.
02:04Let's go.
02:05Mapad Lane Village.
02:06We thought we were finished, but we're not.
02:07Oh my gosh, we're going rural?
02:08Let's go.
02:09Teams will travel from the virtual pit stop in Soweto to a geographical marvel, Machalisburg.
02:21Here the mountain range is half the age of the earth.
02:24You'll find a fascinating world of tribal cultures, a Noah's Ark of amazing animals.
02:29The African countryside is a kaleidoscope of incredible landscapes and vibrant villages.
02:36Teams will make their way to Mpandle, a rural village where they'll find their next clue.
02:41And off they go.
02:43The race is on.
02:44Coming in number one, it feels good.
02:45Yeah, it's different.
02:46It feels like we've done a gig.
02:47You know when you have that calm down after a gig, you just buggered and exhausted, but
02:48it's like, okay, we're going another one.
02:49We're doing another gig.
02:50That's right.
02:51Cool.
02:52Oh, we're going into the mountains again.
02:53Yeah, this is my jam.
02:54These mountains just give me energy.
02:55I nearly took out the whole car then.
02:56Cool.
02:57Leave the hustle and bustle behind.
02:58Cool.
02:59Let's go.
03:00Let's go.
03:01Come on.
03:02Get in the car.
03:03G'day, mate.
03:04We're back.
03:05G'day.
03:06G'day.
03:07G'day.
03:08G'day.
03:09G'day.

03:12G'day.
03:13G'day.
03:14G'day.
03:15G'day.
03:17G'day, mate.
03:18We're back.
03:19Yeah, thank you.
03:20I'm buzzing.
03:21That virtual pit stop means that we get a chance to get back up to the top.
03:22We're getting this second opportunity, which in our career doesn't happen often.
03:23No, that's right.
03:24The whole landscape's changed.
03:25We're definitely out of the city.
03:26I love how their mothers carry their children on their back, too.
03:27The race continues.
03:28It's time to leave the hustle and bustle behind.
03:29Let's go.
03:30Mapalang village.
03:31We expect there's going to be a speed bump in front of us.
03:32It's going to be a speed bump.
03:33It's going to be a speed bump.
03:34It's going to be a speed bump.
03:35It's going to be a speed bump.
03:36It's going to be a speed bump.
03:37It feels now important.
03:38We've dodged a bullet.
03:39We can't waste this lifeline.
03:40No.
03:41Let's keep going.
03:42We're not giving up.
03:43Maybe our new motto should be just don't come last.
03:44Here goes.
03:45G'day.
03:46G'day.
03:47G'day.
03:48G'day.
03:49G'day.
03:50G'day.
03:51G'day.
03:52G'day.
03:53G'day.
03:54G'day.
03:55G'day.
03:56G'day.
03:57G'day.
03:58G'day.
03:59G'day.
04:00G'day.
04:01G'day.
04:02G'day.
04:03G'day.
04:04G'day.
04:05G'day.
04:06Mapunggala Village. Yep, this is it. Good job, Brian.
04:11Thank you, mate. You're the best.
04:14Let's go get the clue.
04:16Here it is.
04:18OK.
04:20Detour. Detour.
04:23OK. High kick or paint slick? Slick.
04:26Detour is a choice between two challenges,
04:29each with its own pros and cons.
04:31For this detour, teams will decide
04:34between high kick or paint slick.
04:37South Africa is made up of 11 different tribes,
04:40each with its own traditions.
04:42Now, the last time I went to a wedding,
04:44everyone was doing the gangnam style. It was a long time ago.
04:47The gangnam style, ain't gonna cut it with the Zulus. No way.
04:53Teams that choose high kick must tap into their inner warrior
04:57and learn a Zulu tribal dance dating back to the 17th century.
05:02The war dance symbolises strength and power
05:05through high kicks and stomping.
05:07When the tribal leader thinks they've nailed their performance,
05:10they'll receive their next clue.
05:12Now, when you go out for a coldie in Australia,
05:14Aussies like to drink from their own glass,
05:17but in Africa, it's a communal thing.
05:19The ukumba is a local version of a schooner
05:22traditionally used to bring people together.
05:25In this memory challenge,
05:27teams must replicate an intricate pattern of colours,
05:30lines and dots on their vessel.
05:32Once the local artist is satisfied with their handiwork,
05:35they'll receive their next clue.
05:38I reckon we dance. Do you want to dance?
05:40I feel like we did the tango. Do you want to dance again?
05:42Let's do it. Let's do it. Come on. OK, let's go.
05:44All right, lads, we're on.
05:48High kick or paint slick?
05:50I reckon we do a high kick.
05:52We're warriors. Let's go.
05:57Let's go dance.
06:01High kick right here.
06:03Yeah, my brothers.
06:05Hello.
06:07Here's these Zulu dancers.
06:09Beautiful, beautiful men.
06:11Big, fit-looking men.
06:13Big, muscly. They had the shields.
06:15Yeah, all the get-up.
06:17Yeah, jingle jangles.
06:18Yeah, it was pretty amazing.
06:19Let's go see these dance.
06:21Have a go. Watch the dance.
06:22Hoo-ha. Hoo-ha.
06:23Hoo-ha. Hoo-ha.
06:24Hoo-ha. Hoo-ha.
06:25Yay!
06:27Yahoo!
06:35Has there been any action going on?
06:37We're going to see if you have any hemis after this.
06:42Yeah!
06:43Hoo-ha. Hoo-ha. Hoo-ha.
06:45We're warriors. We're warriors.
06:51You better get your legs up there, boy.
06:54Come and join me.
06:56Yes, my brother. Hello.
06:58Oh, I've got my headbands.
07:00I love it.
07:02It is super hot.
07:03The African sun.
07:04It's burning.
07:05It doesn't let up.
07:06And now we've got to learn how to dance.
07:08And now we've got to learn how to do the Zulu dance.
07:10All done?
07:11All done?
07:12Oh, that's as far as I can go. Is that OK?
07:14We don't mind making dicks of ourselves.
07:17Let's just have a go.
07:18Like you're banging.
07:21Yeah!
07:25Shake it, Brookie.
07:26Yeah, baby.
07:27Shake it, Brookie.
07:29Yeah, girl.
07:30OK, let's go. Let's go.
07:32One, two, three, four, five.
07:35All righty. The knees.
07:39We thought we were warriors.
07:41Until we had to drop low.
07:45One, two steps.
07:47Flick, flick here. Flick, flick there.
07:50But either way, we're just warriors.
07:53Boom.
07:54Oh, lift, lift.
07:56OK, thank you.
07:58Oh, gosh, I'm feeling a bit stiff after that.
08:03High kick or paint slick?
08:05Paint. We have paint.
08:06Paint.
08:07We can't paint.
08:08Yeah, come on, let's go.
08:09This has to be the right way.
08:11Hi.
08:12Hello.
08:13Thank God.
08:15Hello, how are you?
08:17Hello, how are you?
08:18Hi.
08:19OK.
08:20I have a game plan.
08:21We had a good system.
08:22I remember the colours.
08:23She remembers the dots on the inside.
08:25And when we stick to our system, it never fails.
08:27OK.
08:29Oh, wait.
08:30What was it?
08:31Yellow.
08:32Red, yellow, blue.
08:34Shit.
08:35OK.
08:36Get your head in the game, Emily.
08:37The symmetry of everything, the detail that it required.
08:40You got it?
08:41I'm a little stressed.
08:42Same. It's OK.
08:43Yeah.
08:44Black, black, and then black triangles.
08:47Let's both smash the white, yeah?
08:48Yeah.
08:49We need serenity in this moment because the last few challenges...
08:53It has been a bit stormy.
08:55So we just need a bit of stillness.
08:56Just slow and steady, get it right.
08:58I'm actually so proud of myself for how calm I am.
09:01It's calm and peaceful.
09:02It's calming.
09:03Yeah.
09:04I'm learning so much more about myself,
09:06the more I'm understanding that it isn't all about winning.
09:09The relationship that Emily and I are building as friends,
09:12all of these experiences that I didn't really think
09:15I was going to get when I came from the race.
09:17Can we swap?
09:18Yep.
09:19I can swap.
09:21OK, table not stable, I know that.
09:26OK.
09:27Let's go.
09:29Oh, there's dogs.
09:33How hard can a Zulu dance be?
09:35I don't know, have you ever seen them dancing?
09:37Just jumping and stuff?
09:39Probably, but we can jump.
09:40We can jump.
09:41OK, let's go.
09:42Oh, wow.
09:44Even though I've toured the world,
09:46I really do feel like I have not experienced
09:49any of these things that we've done in the race so far.
09:52Hello.
09:53Oh, yeah, out there.
09:57They've chosen the dancing.
09:59Oh, yes, we can do that.
10:00This is an experience of a lifetime.
10:02When we got greeted by them,
10:04wow, just sent chills down my spine
10:07because that was so amazing.
10:10And when I saw the dance routine, I was like...
10:13We got this.
10:14We got this.
10:15This is your day.
10:16Hoo-ha!
10:17Hoo-ha!
10:20Yes.
10:22That is so cool.
10:25Our strengths would definitely be
10:27that we both grew up dancing.
10:29Look at him.
10:30They can dance.
10:31They can dance, they can Zulu dance.
10:33And that's it.
10:34This is our opportunity to get in front.
10:36OK, let's do it again.
10:37Let's go.
10:39Good?
10:40Yep.
10:42Oh, a bit stiff after that.
10:43Oh, yeah.
10:45Good rip.
10:46Oh, yes.
10:47I'm for paint slick.
10:48Me too, 100% paint.
10:49I reckon we better paint.
10:50Paint?
10:51Yeah.
10:53Hello.
10:54Yay, thumbs up.
10:55Good job.
10:56Nice little village.
10:58Something going on up here.
11:00Hello.
11:01How are you?
11:03Oh, there's a scorpion cushion.
11:05That drops.
11:09I like that one.
11:10I like that one.
11:11There we go.
11:12It's going in the shade.
11:13Smart, boys.
11:14We're not that smart.
11:16Don't give you a seat.
11:17It's a long way down there, Billy.
11:18I know.
11:19Are you going to be OK?
11:20I don't know.
11:21I can't remember the last time I sat on the floor.
11:23Sorry, Oscar.
11:28I'm just doing this, right?
11:29And you're coming over the top.
11:31That is a massive help.
11:33It will be.
11:35Do you think that peat and bridge maybe went home?
11:38Maybe they went home from the pit stop.
11:41Let's paint.
11:42Dancing's not my thing.
11:43All right?
11:44Not my thing anyway.
11:45Let's go.
11:46Hello.
11:47Hello.
11:48OK, this is it.
11:51Peat and bridge.
11:52Oh, you're still here.
11:53We thought we lost you.
11:54Hey.
11:55Yeah.
11:56Oh, peat and bridge have turned up.
11:57Ah.
11:58Still alive.
11:59Still alive, just.
12:00Welcome, guys.
12:01It's really good that we've made this friendship with these people
12:04that we would never have met otherwise.
12:06Well done, mate.
12:07Happy to see you.
12:08Happy to see you.
12:09You know, they had smiles on their faces.
12:10They jumped up.
12:11It was just really special for them to give us a hug
12:13and that they didn't want us out of the race.
12:15And we really feel happy that we went out.
12:18Do you want to do the black lines because you're more precise?
12:20We've got to do the white first.
12:21OK, so let's go to the white.
12:23So that means it's a non-elimination leg,
12:25so which means that the next leg is an elimination.
12:27Yes.
12:28We thought they might have been gone,
12:29so that makes it interesting.
12:30There's no doubt this will be important.
12:32There's no second chances today.
12:33Pressure's on.
12:34We haven't got time to waste.
12:35We haven't got time to waste.
12:42And then we go one, one, two.
12:47Honey, we don't usually choreograph dance moves on our show.
12:52Let's go from the start.
12:53OK.
12:55It's hot.
12:56It's hot.
12:57It's hard.
12:58Physically, we'll push to our limit.
13:01The heart was racing today.
13:02Let's try it.
13:03Let's try it.
13:04So, if we get the steps right, we can get ahead.
13:07If we get at it, go and at it.
13:09Give it a go.
13:10Go, go.
13:32Guys, no, guys.
13:34It's not good.
13:35Not good?
13:36Yep.
13:37Bugger.
13:38It's all right.
13:39We'll go again?
13:40Yes.
13:41OK, thanks, boys.
13:42We'll be back soon.
13:43How'd you go?
13:44How'd you go?
13:45It's hard.
13:46Well, look, we're not professionals.
13:48Good luck, boys.
13:51What?
13:52Logan and Bev and Brooke and Adam are very strong competitors.
13:58And we see them go up and try the hula hoop dance and they're failing.
14:02So, this is a big opportunity for us.
14:05Go on, quickly line up.
14:06Go, girls.
14:07You've got this.
14:09My parents are from Mauritius.
14:11Mauritius is very much part of the African continent.
14:14I think it's in my blood.
14:15I think their African descendant is in there somewhere.
14:18So, I think that will give me a little bit of advantage.
14:21OK, ready?
14:22Yes.
14:23Yes.
14:28Yeah, they've got this.
14:30Four, five, six and down.
14:33Yeah, that's good.
14:39I'm going to miss you guys.
14:41You did it.
14:42Oh, good.
14:45Nice work, girls.
14:46Oh, my gosh.
14:47Thank you so much.
14:48Thank you, everyone.
14:50Yeah, thank you.
14:58OK, let's go.
14:59OK, right in front.
15:01Catch a taxi to Warthogs Bush Stop.
15:03It's safari time.
15:04Yeah.
15:06Teams must now head to a local wilderness reserve
15:10where they'll sign up for a safari surprise.
15:16We're going to Warthogs Bush Lodge.
15:19It's safari time.
15:27I actually think we're doing all right here, mate.
15:29Let's just go have a double check.
15:30I just want to get clarity on whether my top, bottom, or bottom
15:34part connects with the black, mate.
15:37You do yours, and I'm going to do mine.
15:39Yep.
15:40White, white, black, black, white, white, black.
15:42Chloe, I'm feeling in the zone for two reasons.
15:45I'm a perfectionist.
15:46Another reason, we need to sell this pot to that lady
15:49and make it beautiful.
15:50Come on, pot.
15:51Find that little dot on the inside,
15:52and that's the front center part.
15:55Yep.
15:59No?
16:00OK.
16:01It's not completely wrong.
16:02OK.
16:03This is wrong.
16:04Everything that's on the top touches the top.
16:06OK.
16:07OK.
16:08Now, let's remember, we don't paint pots for fun,
16:10but we're doing a pretty good job at it right now.
16:15It's not bad for footballs.
16:17It's fiddly.
16:18It's very, very fiddly, this.
16:20I couldn't even do a triangle.
16:22I had the double-handed manoeuvre,
16:24and I still couldn't get it right.
16:26Da Vinci would have rolled over in his grave.
16:28Don't be dopey.
16:30Come on.
16:36Let's go.
16:37Let's go, Bam.
16:38We're trying to draw the warrior within.
16:40We warriors, baby.
16:41Up the wires.
16:43We got this.
16:44I got this.
16:45I got this.
16:49Look at these boys.
16:50They're looking good.
16:51They're looking good.
16:52They've surely got this.
16:53This is their bag.
16:57Come on, baby.
17:00We're not as fit as you.
17:01We got it.
17:02You're good.
17:03Yes.
17:04Thank you, my brother.
17:15Good job, boys.
17:18It's safari time.
17:20Let's go.
17:21All right, let's go.
17:23She had nice, straight, thick lines.
17:25Yeah, she had nice, straight, thick lines.
17:26That is beautiful, Em.
17:27My wife would be really proud of me right now,
17:29and she's going to be like,
17:30when I ask you to help me paint,
17:32you always say no,
17:33and here you are painting.
17:35Everything's Ryan.
17:38It's our plot.
17:39This is a beautiful plot.
17:40Is it beautiful?
17:41Lovely colours.
17:42Check it.
17:43Good dots.
17:44Yeah.
17:49Yes.
17:50Thank you so much.
17:52It's safari time.
17:56Okay.
17:57Write this in?
17:59All I'm going to say is,
18:01I am so glad we didn't choose a dance show.
18:03Oh, me too.
18:04I actually think we chose right.
18:06Yeah.
18:07Because guess what?
18:08They can't all be the same.
18:10We've got it this time.
18:11I feel like I'm becoming a Zulu.
18:14We just like to keep going.
18:16I guess that's always been our thing.
18:18We say this is similar to how we're approaching the race.
18:21Same as our marriage,
18:22we look after today,
18:23and hopefully tomorrow we'll look after itself.
18:25Yes.
18:26Come on.
18:27Well, that's kind of our motto and has been,
18:29and we just keep sticking around for more and more tomorrow.
18:31Yes.
18:32Yeah.
18:33That felt good.
18:34Felt good.
18:44We did it, guys.
18:45Come and check this out.
18:49You guys are really good.
18:50Yes.
18:51We did it.
18:53Let's go.
18:54It's safari time.
18:55Oh my God, let's go.
18:56Let's go.
19:00Oh my gosh, I just saw a monkey.
19:02A little tiny monkey.
19:14Okay.
19:15I got your hat.
19:16Thanks.
19:19Sign up board.
19:21Oh my gosh, we're first.
19:23Oh my gosh.
19:24Let's do her before.
19:26Make yourself at home.
19:27I guess we're staying here tonight.
19:28This is so nice.
19:29Let's get a glass of wine.
19:30Okay.
19:31It's like a South African safari dream,
19:33and there's a pool and a view of like a safari land.
19:37Hey, little man.
19:38Hi.
19:39Hi.
19:41Make ourselves at home.
19:42We will, baby.
19:45I'm not trying to get perfect here.
19:46I'm trying to get better than shithouse.
19:48To be honest, mate,
19:49with some of the challenges we've had,
19:51finding this somewhat therapeutic.
19:53Yeah.
19:54My first international medal was actually in art.
19:57I got it in primary school.
19:58I'm really proud of it.
20:00Sweet.
20:01That's actually okay.
20:02Yeah.
20:11Wow.
20:16Thank you very much.
20:18It's safari time.
20:19Oh my gosh.
20:20Come on.
20:21Okay.
20:22It goes all the way to the bottom,
20:23but the edges have still white.
20:27Yes.
20:28My hands are shaking because it's been a nerve-wracking day.
20:30It's a little problematic,
20:32but we live to fight another day.
20:33Holding this tiny toothbrush,
20:35our hands are shaking.
20:36I'm glad we weren't operating on anybody.
20:38We're holding a paintbrush, not a toothbrush.
20:40Was it a toothbrush?
20:41I'm still not recovered.
20:43Yeah.
20:44You just dab it.
20:45Don't make it too big.
20:47Good.
20:48Jeez, you're getting around the dots and everything.
20:50Going well, are you, the boy?
20:51And here it is, the final touch,
20:52the piece of resistance.
20:54That's it.
20:55Bring it over.
20:58That's good?
20:59Yeah.
21:00Thank you so much.
21:04Yes?
21:05Yes.
21:07Thank you very much.
21:08It's pretty exhilarating
21:09because we feel like we're back in it now.
21:10We've made up some time,
21:11and now we're walking out a minute after Billy and Oscar.
21:15Oh my days.
21:17It's safari time.
21:19Amazing.
21:20Safari.
21:23Warthog's bush lodge.
21:34It's good.
21:35We're going carnival.
21:37Safari.
21:39Jacuzzi.
21:41One bit.
21:43Love a bit of glamping.
21:44Never done it before.
21:45Never used the word.
21:46Growing up, we never did no camping.
21:49We usually just camp in each other's rooms
21:53because there was only three for 12 kids.
21:56Times have changed and bodies got bigger,
21:58so we need bigger beds.
22:01Thank you, sir.
22:03Kirby Fort.
22:04Look, I'm not a vegetarian.
22:05I do love meat.
22:06Carnival.
22:07Let's do it.
22:09Beautiful.
22:10Dolls, we're camping.
22:11Yeehaw!
22:13Yeah!
22:15Yeah!
22:17Look at it!
22:21You dancing girls.
22:23You smashed it.
22:25We've all really messed all the teams.
22:27We're making great friendships.
22:29Hello!
22:30We met people we would never, ever come across
22:32in our everyday life.
22:34We made it, guys.
22:35The chillies, like I just would never have come across these guys.
22:38Herbivore, I can't.
22:40I'm never going to meet Thorpey.
22:42Where would I meet Thorpey?
22:43I'd be like, I don't go to pool.
22:45Oh, Billy and Oscar.
22:47Peter Hellier I've met, Pete, and hit it off with Bridget.
22:50Oh, yay.
22:52Everyone was awesome.
22:56I think we're in for a good night.
22:57I think so as well.
22:58We love entertaining.
22:59We love camping.
23:00We love camping.
23:01Under the South African stars.
23:02And we love this stuff.
23:03We really actually do.
23:05Don't miss a moment of the action.
23:07Yeah!
23:09With full episodes of The Amazing Race,
23:11Celebrity Edition, on TenPlay.
23:16To cap off a massive day,
23:17our teams will share very special experiences.
23:21Helping the reserve rangers feed the carnivores and herbivores.
23:25I'll sit with you.
23:26No, it's OK.
23:29I see the tyranno up there.
23:31Or something with a tail.
23:33There's zebra there, zebra.
23:35Oh my gosh.
23:37Wow.
23:38Bit different to the Dubbo Zoo.
23:41The antelopes.
23:42They're so much bigger in real life.
23:46Oh my God.
23:48He's having a good look too.
23:49We got your dinner.
23:51We're about to feed the king of the jungle.
23:55A lion.
23:56In his natural habitat.
23:58Oh, he's looking at you, Christian.
24:00Look at that.
24:01Let's do it.
24:05Oh my God.
24:12We provided for the king of the jungle.
24:15Never thought we would be here in Africa,
24:18feeding these wild bees.
24:20King of the jungle, baby.
24:28He is a big boy.
24:29He's got those hungry eyes, you know.
24:31He's ready for some tucker.
24:34Once you take the food out of your hand,
24:36you say, good boy.
24:38Throw in.
24:40Now put in there.
24:41Take it, take it.
24:42Good boy.
24:43Good boy.
24:44It's almost like we were in a dream
24:46because they were surreal.
24:48Oh, wow.
24:50Oh, you're amazing.
24:52This is a moment I think we remember forever.
24:54It's truly special.
25:00After the ultimate African safari,
25:02it's time for our teams to catch their breath and unwind.
25:07Good on ya, fellas.
25:08Does Pete cook at home, Bridge?
25:10He goes out on the barbie, cooks a great steak.
25:12Oh, my God.
25:13This is a South African barbecue.
25:16Forpy, you know the sausages?
25:18Yeah, they're good, they're good, they're good.
25:20Yeah!
25:23Yeah, it's a really special night actually
25:25because we get to hang out with our fellow teammates
25:27and relax, just put all the competitiveness aside
25:30and just focus on how special this whole experience is.
25:34I must say, I was stoked when I saw you on this race.
25:40Well, I am a fan of the show.
25:42Is your competitive juices doing this anywhere near
25:46what they were when you actually swam?
25:48I'm competitive in this.
25:50Yeah.
25:51And, yeah, you can flick into it pretty quickly,
25:55but this is different as well to what that is.
25:58I mean, the pressure was...
26:00It was immense.
26:02I was world champion when I was 15,
26:05so, yeah, you want to feel as though there's a nation
26:10pushing you on rather than weighing you down.
26:13It's a fine balance, though, isn't it?
26:15And in the pool, they're making it become really obvious.
26:18You can drown in the Olympics.
26:20Right before the race, so Australia hasn't won a gold medal,
26:26and I was there first night,
26:29and I was nervous going into the final,
26:33and it was not until I heard the roar of the crowd.
26:37This was louder than I'd ever heard.
26:39I did that thing that you do when you get in trouble.
26:43I did the little smile, laugh thing.
26:45Nervous.
26:46And that was it.
26:48I just needed a moment out of my head,
26:50and I was like, I'm ready to do this,
26:52and owned what I was doing.
26:55He was smashing world records at 15.
26:57We have a 15-year-old son, who is amazing, by the way,
27:01but I can't imagine him handling that kind of pressure.
27:04I can't imagine many 15-year-olds doing that.
27:07Hey, Bim, you said UFC has taken you many places,
27:11but what would have you done if you weren't fighting?
27:14What would you have been doing?
27:16I played footy for a bit, and I gave footy up to start fighting.
27:20I think at one point I didn't think I was going to be plus 18,
27:24let alone...
27:25Really? Is that how rough it was?
27:27I was a little rat bag.
27:28Really?
27:29Yeah.
27:30I just used what I was good at, and I steered it into something
27:34that will make me better in life.
27:37And you're good at it.
27:38But that's the change I did, you know.
27:41I turned it from something bad to something good.
27:43That's really positive.
27:44Fighting has given me a life that no-one,
27:46that I really have never experienced or anything like that.
27:49I love that. I can't wait to come watch you fight.
27:51The thing is, the UFC is always sold out.
27:54Oh, no!
27:55Country music, I hope that takes off like UFC.
27:59We're getting there. We're getting there, eh?
28:02What do you guys reckon?
28:04Looks pretty good.
28:05Let's eat, eh?
28:06Yay!
28:08Cheers, cheers.
28:10Cheers.
28:11Yeah.
28:12Oh, this smells amazing. I am so happy.
28:15We've all been racing this crazy, adrenaline-filled adventure,
28:19and we're just, everyone's starting to open up.
28:21We've now become, you know, friends and family for life.
28:24This race is the silver lining to missing out on the World Cup.
28:28Cheers, mate.
28:31Oh, yeah.
28:34We're all on the amazing race.
28:38No-one wants to call me last place.
28:42No, no.
28:44Oh, no!
28:46Put a smile on our face.
28:49Hey!
28:50Cheese, cheese, everybody!
28:53Yeah!
28:55That was fun.
28:58Refuelled, refreshed and still racing,
29:01our teams will be leaving the reserve in the order in which they arrived.
29:05Roadblock.
29:06Who has the winning smile?
29:09A roadblock is a challenge only one team member can perform.
29:13This part of Africa isn't just famous for wildlife.
29:16The Cradle of Humankind is one of the richest fossil sites in the world.
29:20It is home to the largest concentration of human remains anywhere in the world,
29:25with fossils dating back over two million years.
29:28The most common fossil you'll find are teeth.
29:30See, it's the enamel.
29:32It's the hardest substance in our body.
29:34It lasts for millions and millions of years.
29:36And if we're lucky, we might find one.
29:40For this challenge, a team member will turn archaeologist
29:43and dig for a full set of human teeth.
29:4628 in total.
29:48Once the ranger confirms they have a mouthful,
29:51they'll receive their next clue.
29:54Oh.
29:56It's as easy as that.
30:01OK.
30:03Oh, there's a speed bump, look.
30:05Oh.
30:06Keaton Bridge.
30:07Who has the winning smile?
30:08You've got a good smile.
30:09Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
30:11Beep!
30:12Ha-ha!
30:14That's got to be you.
30:15You've got a beautiful smile.
30:16I'll do it.
30:17It's me!
30:18OK, yeah.
30:19Who has the winning smile?
30:20The two.
30:22OK.
30:23You've got a good smile.
30:24Let's go.
30:25Let's go.
30:26Oh, speed bump.
30:27That's good for us.
30:28You're right, look at that.
30:29It's an easy choice.
30:30It's an easy choice.
30:31Hopefully I don't have to go to the dentist.
30:33Didn't say that.
30:34Oh, oh.
30:35Oh, shit.
30:37It's a good start.
30:39Speed bump, OK.
30:40Clean out the ash on the campfire you enjoyed last night
30:42and restock the wood for future guests.
30:44OK, let's go.
30:45OK, let's get this cleaned real quick.
30:49Oh, my goodness.
30:50We're walking across an African savannah.
30:53This is incredible.
30:54He was running away from us.
30:55He must be scared of us.
30:57No, it must be my perfume that I put on.
30:59Bag drop.
31:00We're the first ones there, and that is a good feeling
31:03because we're aiming to be number one.
31:06We need to find 28 teeth.
31:08I can't believe that I'm here digging where some of the oldest
31:11human bones in the world have been found.
31:13I'm pretty confident because I wanted to be an archaeologist
31:16when I was growing up, and I thought, yeah, I can do this.
31:19In and out of there, and we'll be in the lead.
31:22A needle in a haystack, a tooth in a pit of rocks.
31:29All right, there we go.
31:31This is not the start to the day we needed.
31:34Don't know how long we're behind anybody.
31:36We got very lucky with the non-elimination,
31:39but that's not going to happen again,
31:41so if we don't improve, yeah, we're on a plane.
31:50We are desperate to stay in the amazing race.
31:53We want to finish today strong.
31:55I mean, all we really need to do is get ahead of one team.
31:58I would ideally like to get ahead of a few teams,
32:00but one team will do.
32:02Let's go.
32:04Come on, Bridget.
32:06Well, I clearly know a tooth when I see it.
32:09Holy Toledo!
32:11What are they?
32:12Zebras.
32:13Are they zebras?
32:14They're zebras, honey.
32:15I've got bad eyes.
32:16You do.
32:17I thought they were donkeys.
32:19We don't like roadblocks.
32:21They're quite stressful to do it all on your own.
32:23What are we in for?
32:24But I just went, right, I know what I have to do.
32:26I need to get on my knees, I need to get dirty
32:28and I need to start looking for teeth.
32:30Oh, you've got to dig, dig, dig.
32:32Digging for teeth.
32:34We used to be archaeologists.
32:36Really?
32:37Before we were soccer players.
32:38No!
32:39I swear, I swear!
32:41Come on, guys.
32:42I'm the biggest shit-talker.
32:44Oh, you're trying to scare us, huh?
32:47Zudania, Zanana, Nisha, Bobo!
32:53Can't see them, but we can hear them.
32:55Yeah, you can hear them.
32:57Hello, fellas.
32:58Yeah, Billy.
32:59One, two, three, four, five, six.
33:05Digging the china here.
33:07There's got to be an easier way to look for these bloody teeth.
33:13I have no strategy.
33:14I'm shaking all the dirt.
33:18Sorry, Bob.
33:19Jesus Christ!
33:20Sorry, Bob.
33:21I swear to God, I was digging for quite some time.
33:24And then, OK, found a bloody tooth, yes.
33:27Right now, it's on.
33:28Oh, yeah.
33:29Reg, not only do you have to dig deep here,
33:31but you've got to dig smart.
33:33Pistol P.
33:35It wouldn't be you getting dirty, would it, Peter?
33:37Nah.
33:38Of course not.
33:39Have a nice little rest.
33:40Yeah.
33:41Here you go, Reg.
33:42Just gardening, that's all it is.
33:43I think this is my challenge.
33:45Indeed, because at home, I find everything.
33:49Someone's lost something, I've got it.
33:52Without even knowing where it got put.
33:54I still have the boys' baby's teeth,
33:56so I find them every now and then.
33:58Some things look like teeth and some are boom, like that.
34:03I began by mapping it out and just doing section by section.
34:06So maybe best to go slow to begin with
34:08and make sure you get everyone.
34:11You're going to pick up the pace, Steph.
34:13The other teams, they just...
34:15And they're just finding them.
34:16Yeah, I got one.
34:17Yes.
34:18Cool.
34:19Keep it up, mate.
34:20There's a couple.
34:21Hey!
34:22Good stuff.
34:23Nice.
34:24Good, Oskie boy.
34:25Look at my boy go.
34:26You are crushing it.
34:27You are the tooth fairy.
34:28If we do it that way, we could end up with a single one
34:31at the end that you can't find.
34:32How many has everyone found?
34:34Lots.
34:35Jeez.
34:37I know you're digging deep.
34:39Yep.
34:40You're passionate.
34:41I'm finding them.
34:42I'm finding them.
34:43We both know that we work off praise and encouragement
34:46and positivity.
34:47You could find the teeth.
34:48Yes, yes, yes.
34:49You could find the teeth.
34:50Dig a little deep and they're buried underneath.
34:53Yes.
34:54Come on, honey, you got it.
34:55Yes, it is.
34:56I do find it.
34:57Jack!
34:58You smashed that, honey.
35:00Oh, come on, come on.
35:0128, 28 teeth.
35:02I know, I know, I know.
35:05Oh, my God.
35:07Okay, it's another root info.
35:10Drive deeper into the cradle of humankind.
35:12Find Nairoc's Sculpture Park
35:14and search the grounds for Bo at the next pit stop.
35:17Teams will self-drive from the cradle of humankind
35:20to find me here, hidden at the Nairoc's Sculpture Park.
35:24This famous outdoor gallery displays artworks
35:27inspired by the area, including these pearly whites.
35:32This is Implants and it's the location for the pit stop
35:34for the sixth leg of the Amazing Race Australia.
35:37Just look for the teeth.
35:39The last team to arrive may be eliminated.
35:41Let's go.
35:43Just some of the things you've got to do for your charity, you know?
35:46Sometimes you might have to pull a couple of teeth out
35:48just to win a few challenges.
35:50Yeah, I knock teeth out for a living.
35:52I don't usually go digging for them.
35:55You're going well, Osk. You're going well.
35:57Keep going, Chloe.
36:00Chloe's got 16, Steph.
36:01Jeez.
36:03Ty, give us a count on how many we got.
36:05Yeah, you got 16 there, bud.
36:07It's like a real archaeological dig.
36:13And again.
36:14Yay! Good job, Christian.
36:16Mums are renowned for finding things in the house.
36:19I feel like I find these teeth very quickly.
36:22I went block to block, moving the soil
36:24and sometimes shaking the soil through
36:26if I thought I'd missed something.
36:28But it was about not leaving that block
36:30until I had done all the soil.
36:32Well done, Bridge.
36:33I love that you're digging deep.
36:35Ready to go?
36:36We are absolutely back in the race now.
36:38This is our Stephen Bradbury moment, Bridge.
36:40Instead of skating past athletes I don't even remember,
36:42we're going to skate past Ian Thorpe.
36:44One to go.
36:45Boom.
36:51Hey.
36:52I can't believe that we have arrived last.
36:55We did an extra challenge and we're leaving second.
36:59Everyone else is behind us, looking frustrated.
37:02Like, this is our day.
37:04And I'm going to give 90% of the credit to you.
37:08You were amazing.
37:10Great work, Bridget.
37:12Who knew going to the dentist paid off?
37:14Hurry, the last team may be eliminated.
37:16OK, let's go. Come on.
37:17I'm pretty sure we're going to remember today
37:19for the rest of our lives, Bridge.
37:20We just need to now focus,
37:21take our time and reading this map correctly.
37:23We came out there first.
37:25We're on the right track.
37:27We came to a T in a second.
37:29Going left.
37:30Oh, God, please, we can't stuff this up.
37:33A podium finish is absolutely within our grasp
37:36and maybe even finish first.
37:38We're going to take the 560.
37:40And so Maglisburg to the right is our choice.
37:45I think this is the comeback of the century.
37:47It's certainly the comeback of amazing race history, I think.
37:52KK, essentially, what is the cradle of humankind?
37:56So, essentially, the cradle of humankind
37:59is the first place where there was the first heartbeat.
38:03It's literally the beginning of life.
38:05Wow.
38:06Existence.
38:07Started here.
38:08It started here.
38:12It's a beautiful day to come first.
38:16The feeling of exhilaration is palpable
38:18and we cannot wait to get to the pit stop.
38:22Near Rock Sculpture Park.
38:24Here's hoping.
38:25Got a couple of signs up here.
38:27We want to turn left.
38:31Oh, my God, honey, your directions were amazing.
38:34Come on, let's go.
38:36Oh, my God, honey.
38:37Let's go, hon.
38:38It's got this serenity about it.
38:41There, there.
38:42Aha.
38:43Oh, my God.
38:44Aha.
38:45Quick.
38:46Well, here we go.
38:47You little ripper.
38:48Oh, my God.
38:51Yes.
38:53Yes.
38:57That's it.
39:00Welcome to the cradle of humankind.
39:03Oh, thank you.
39:04Thank you so much.
39:06Brooke and Adam, you are the first team to check out.
39:09Ah!
39:14Good work, hon.
39:16It is a race.
39:17It is high pressure.
39:19But you guys take it in and enjoy it.
39:21We've been through ups and downs in the whole relationship.
39:24We just talk our way through it.
39:26Like we've always said.
39:27Always respect.
39:28It sure is.
39:29And if there's a day that either of us are not happy,
39:31it's like, we'll move on.
39:32But right now, we feel like we're having a ball.
39:34You know how this goes.
39:35Hotel upgrade.
39:36Ah!
39:37Well done.
39:38Bring it in.
39:40Bring it in, guys.
39:41Woo!
39:42Super.
39:43Super.
39:44Good work.
39:45Well done.
39:46Well done.
39:47I think we're basically Olympians.
39:48Yeah, look at us.
39:49Because we've beat Olympians.
39:50We beat the Olympians.
39:51Yeah, pretty much.
39:52I can't believe it.
39:53We're a bit shocked to be honest.
39:54They'll probably start following our exercise routine.
39:56Oh, no.
39:57Oh, yes.
39:58I think maybe.
39:59Because we'll inspire them.
40:01I feel like we've been driving in a half hour, 40 minutes.
40:05This is so confusing.
40:06I've got no idea where we are.
40:08Oh, I don't like to hear that.
40:10Hopefully there's a sign that says Bo Ryan.
40:12It starts this way.
40:13Yeah.
40:16Just recount them for me.
40:17They're exactly what I said it was.
40:19OK.
40:20OK?
40:21How many?
40:22You've got 27.
40:23You need one more.
40:24Billie, have you taken any of your teeth out to put down there?
40:26Stop it.
40:27That'd be cheating.
40:28Your teeth look similar to that.
40:31You're going to find it.
40:32I know you are.
40:33I just can't understand where it could have gone.
40:36The tooth is not there.
40:37Whether it's been accidentally thrown out somewhere,
40:40whatever's happened, I am going through every square inch
40:43of this box, and I cannot find a sign of it.
40:46Oh, it's deaf.
40:48Everyone's doing a good job finding the teeth.
40:50You're going well, buddy.
40:5125.
40:52Three more to go.
40:54Chloe, there's 27.
40:55Three more.
40:56Yeah, check.
40:57Shit.
40:59Yeah.
41:00Yes.
41:01Yee-haw.
41:03Check, please.
41:06Yes, thank you.
41:07Thank you so much.
41:08Well done.
41:09Oh, nice rip.
41:10Find Narok Sculpture Park.
41:12And search the grounds for Bo at the next pit stop.
41:14Let's go.
41:15Have fun, Bo.
41:16OK, are we just going to follow them?
41:17Yep, go.
41:18It has to be in there.
41:19I should have sticked with my original slow method.
41:22I'm very concerned we're going home.
41:27I have no idea.
41:28I really, I don't get it.
41:32Do you agree?
41:33Yeah.
41:34Well, I agree that we seem lost now.
41:36Let's just try and get back to where we started from.
41:39At the very least, we hope others are as confused as we are.
41:45Narok's.
41:46Oh, let's go.
41:47Look at it.
41:48Left in here.
41:49Left in here.
41:50Let's go.
41:51Oh.
41:53Oh, look.
41:54Look at that.
41:55Narok's.
41:56Oh, yeah.
41:57Here we go, boys.
41:58This is what we're made for.
42:02Look.
42:07There was only one other car there.
42:08Yeah, I know.
42:09Oh.
42:10Here?
42:11Or here?
42:12The flag?
42:13No, here.
42:14There was a flag.
42:15Something went up.
42:18We might come from that way.
42:20This is nice.
42:21Yeah.
42:22Nice park.
42:23Well, here we go.
42:27Watch yourself, Emmy.
42:28OK.
42:32Yeah, darling.
42:34Welcome to the cradle of humankind.
42:40Chloe and Emily, you are the second team to check in.
42:43Oh, take that.
42:44Nice.
42:45I'm free.
42:46Come on, girls.
42:48Go and rest and recover.
42:49You're still in.
42:50Thank you so much.
42:51It's a nice sculpture.
42:52Oh, here we go.
42:54Life of Popsie.
42:55Life for old Pops.
42:57I've been waiting for him all day.
42:58Oh.
42:59Good work.
43:00Oh.
43:01Hello.
43:02Hello, mate.
43:03Billy and Oscar, you are third team to check in.
43:07Oscar.

43:11Bring it in.
43:13Go and rest and recover.
43:14We've got a crew coming.
43:15Down there, brother.
43:16Down there.
43:17Well done.
43:18Good on you, boys.
43:19Thanks for having us.
43:20Been a long time between teeth.
43:21You might find a human body in there soon, Steph.
43:23Oh, man.
43:24You keep digging.
43:25Got it, baby.
43:26Woo.
43:28Check.
43:29Yeah.
43:30Woo.
43:33Can I take some of these?
43:36I need to place them back.
43:37Hurry up.
43:38We're going.

43:57The last team to arrive may be eliminated.
43:58Cool.
43:59Let's go.
44:00I don't think this is our car.
44:02I don't think so either.
44:03Why did you get in here?
44:04We'll go to another car.
44:05I was just going to take it, but good Samaritan that you are.
44:08Let's go.
44:11I would have considered getting in the ring with Van
44:14when I was actually a training athlete.
44:17He would have been absolutely ripped apart.
44:20Have you watched him fight before?
44:22Yeah.
44:23He is a beast.
44:24He reckons he can swim too.
44:27Oh.
44:29One of the cars just drove back.
44:31Really?
44:32Yeah.
44:33It looks like Peyton Bridge.
44:36That's what can throw people off is that there's not that many
44:39names on this map.
44:41What's the next name on it?
44:43Um, Norris Sculpture Park.
44:46Nice.
44:50Here we are, lads.
44:52Yep, left here, mate.
44:53We're up here, lads.

45:13Bam Bam and Logan, you are the fourth team to check in.
45:19Very proud of you guys.
45:21Go rest, relax, and recover.
45:23I'll see you soon.

45:40you can win this.
45:42So glad I didn't become an archaeologist.
45:47Found it.
45:50You did so well.
45:51Like, you tried your best.
45:52I saw you work so damn hard there, okay?
45:55I'm sorry.
45:56No, don't you dare say sorry.
45:58Come on.
45:59Come on.
46:00Come on.
46:01Come on.
46:02Come on.
46:03Come on.
46:04Come on.
46:05Come on.
46:06Come on.
46:07Come on.
46:08Come on.
46:09Come on.
46:10Come on.
46:11Come on.
46:12Yay!
46:14Finally, let's get out of this teeth place.
46:17Route info, search the grounds of Bo at the next pit stop.
46:20Our only saving grace is if someone else got lost.
46:27We need to find somebody.
46:30So we are all the way back here.
46:32We're off the map.
46:33Yeah.
46:34So it's about 22 kilometres to Magadis.
46:37Are you going to drive?
46:38Yeah.
46:39They're the best humans in the world.
46:43They're three bloody legends.
46:45Just make sure we don't lose these people,
46:47and I assume they're going to take us the right way.
46:49So kind of them.
46:51Oh, slow down, slow down, they're sliding down.
46:53What are they doing?
47:05Oh, slow down, slow down, they're sliding down.
47:07What are they doing?
47:19Thank you so much, you were so appreciated.
47:21We're not going home.
47:23We want to keep going on The Amazing Race.
47:25We're going to do it for Cura EB,
47:27we're going to do it for the kids,
47:29we're going to do it for our family,
47:31and let's bring it on.
47:33You can never give up on The Amazing Race.
47:35I don't want to be the bearer of bad news,
47:37but one team is going to leave today.
47:39Are you ready for emotions?
47:41How do you go?
47:43Are you an emotional guy?
47:45It's okay, I'm an emotional person.
47:47You know, I think we, you know, it depends.
47:49I think today it's all about celebrating their journey
47:51and what they were able to accomplish to get this far.
47:53So I think the tears are good,
47:55but also should be a tears of joy
47:57of how far they've gotten.
47:59I think it's all about celebrating their journey
48:01and what they were able to accomplish to get this far.
48:03So I think the tears are good,
48:05but also should be a tears of joy
48:07of how far they've gotten.
48:09Yes, that's the mentality I'm on.
48:11That's the mentality I'm talking about.
48:13I don't know if I can overtake,
48:15because there's never like broken lines here.
48:17Yeah.
48:19He's going way too slow.
48:21Yeah, that's better.
48:23Right now I'm thinking we've just got to keep going.
48:25We've left it last,
48:27but we're not ones to just give up.
48:29It's got to be a randy bridge.
48:31What are you doing? This is ridiculous.
48:33Never give up.
48:35There's a flag there.
48:37OK, we've found it.
48:39Is this it? Careful going through this gate.
48:41There's still got many cars there.
48:43Yeah, they're all here.
48:45No rock sculpture park.
48:47Woo!
48:49That's the flag.
48:51There's a flag?
48:53Yeah, one way. There's nothing else here.
48:57This is an awful end to the experience.
49:01I can hear people this way.
49:03OK.
49:05It's private property. Do not enter.
49:07Oh.
49:09Can't be in there.
49:11No entry.
49:13Maybe down there?
49:15We've got to follow the arrows.
49:17Oh, there. Down there.
49:19Oh, yeah.
49:21Here, here, here.
49:23You ready? Yeah.
49:25Dumelang Lekai.
49:27Welcome to the cradle of humankind.
49:31Pete and Bridget,
49:33you are the sixth team to check in.
49:35Huh?
49:37I can't do this day anymore.
49:41This is crazy.
49:43Our heads are spinning.
49:45We don't know what is going on.
49:47I can't believe that we're still in the race.
49:49We're still alive.
49:51Let's bring on the next leg.
49:53I cannot wait for the next adventure.
49:55Good on you, guys. The boys will be proud.
49:57We are proud. Good to see you.
49:59Hello.
50:01Oh, the girls.
50:03We've obviously gone around the long way.
50:05Hi.
50:07Hi.
50:09Dumelang, welcome to the cradle of humankind.
50:13Vahna and Steph,
50:15you are the last team to check in.
50:17Mm-hmm.
50:19And you are eliminated.
50:21Okay.

50:25What a day.
50:27What a day.
50:29I know.
50:31You did well.
50:33Every day you were growing and growing,
50:35which is wonderful.
50:37And you guys are here representing the charity Salvation Army.
50:39The work they do for homelessness, drug and alcohol abuse,
50:41domestic violence, especially women.
50:43It means a lot to you.
50:45Yeah, the Salvation Army, Melbourne 614,
50:47gives hope to so many people.
50:49An adventure of a lifetime.
50:51Yeah.
50:53Absolutely.
50:55I don't think there's a lot of people
50:57that can go in with a friend
50:59and be able to come out maybe stronger.
51:01I don't know.
51:03How is that even possible?
51:05Because I feel like we're very close to begin with,
51:07but I definitely think we're closer.
51:09I am proud of us.
51:11We thought we could do even better,
51:13but unfortunately, it's our time.
51:15Thank you so much.
51:17Thank you, boys.
51:19And how's just putting all these teeth in front of you?
51:21I know, making us feel really bad.
51:23It wasn't my idea.
51:25It was KK's idea.
51:27Stay smiling.
51:29Bye, guys.
51:31Next time on The Amazing Race
51:33Celebrity Edition.
51:35Our celebrities take on the land
51:37that time forgot.
51:39Namibia.
51:41Mad Max.
51:43The stunning but harsh landscape will test everyone.
51:45They don't bite, do they?
51:49I can't see shit.
51:51Who will survive the elements?
51:53Holy shit.
51:55Let's go, let's go.
51:57As they race towards the grand finale.
51:59The race is getting intense.
