00:00Welcome everyone.
00:24Easy Randy.
00:25Before the show even began, welcome everyone to a very special edition of Monday Night
00:31Raw.
00:32Vince McMahon here along with the macho man Randy Savage.
00:33And we are emanating live, ladies and gentlemen, from our WWF studios, much as we did last
00:38night for the inaugural Sunday Night Slam.
00:41We had a blast and one of the reasons we had such a great time is because we heard from
00:45you.
00:46The interactive portion of Sunday Night Slam, certainly you gave your point of view on a
00:50number of the issues that no doubt will be solved one way or the other one week from
00:54tonight at SummerSlam.
00:56And of course, Randy Savage will no doubt throw in his point of view as we progress
01:00through the evening.
01:01Two cents worth every time.
01:03Notwithstanding that, of course, ladies and gentlemen, Lex Luger meets Tataka one week
01:07from tonight at SummerSlam.
01:09And tonight we will see Lex in action squaring off against Crush.
01:13From there, of course, everyone wants to solve the mystery of The Undertakers.
01:18I washed my hands of that right now.
01:20I'm just letting Leslie Nielsen take it from here.
01:23And of course, the WWF title up for grabs one week from tonight.
01:27Bret Hart squaring off against his brother Owen in the Steel Cage match tonight.
01:30A special interview with the Hitman.
01:32All right, Randy Savage.
01:34What is it?
01:35The question is whether or not Lex Luger has sold out.
01:36Well, prime time, Deion Sanders has, I think.
01:40But that's another story.
01:42Whether he has or whether he hasn't, I think it comes down to whether the DNA matches.
01:47Yeah.
01:48I beg your pardon?
01:49The DNA.
01:50Yeah.
01:51Whether or not the DNA matches, there's a 99% chance that Lex Luger sells out at SummerSlam
01:55to the Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase.
01:59Thank you very much.
02:00It's going to be a wild night.
02:01Commentary from the Macho Man, Randy Savage, right now.
02:04Let's take you.
02:05No, thanks.
02:06Try these on.
02:07Lex Luger.
02:08You're cool.
02:09This contest is scheduled for one fall.
02:10Approaching the ring from that little chair.
02:11Here he comes, ladies and gentlemen.

04:36I mean, look at him.
04:37I mean, look at him.
04:39You're the strongest athletes ever to compete in the WWF right here tonight.
04:45You know, Jim Ross, a lot of controversy surrounding that matchup with Lex at the top.
04:50In my personal opinion, I don't think Lex sold it.
04:53He's got the left hook.
04:54He's got the left hook.
04:55He's got the left hook.
04:56He's got the left hook.
04:57He's got the left hook.
04:58He's got the left hook.
04:59He's got the left hook.
05:00He's got the left hook.
05:01He's got the left hook.
05:02He's got the left hook.
05:03He's got the left hook.
05:04He's got the left hook.
05:05He's got the left hook.
05:06He's got the left hook.
05:07Crush forcing Luger back in the corner.
05:10Well, I agree with you.
05:11I do.
05:12Oh, my.
05:13Right hand by Crush.
05:14And another right hand.
05:15I do not think that Lex Luger will turn his back on the great fans that have supported
05:18him here in the WWF.
05:20Well, I think, Jim, a perfect example of that.
05:23The title was in deep trouble with Bam Bam and Erwin.
05:26Who came to his rescue?
05:27Lex.
05:29Hard right hand by Crush.
05:31Another one into the rims of the man made in the USA.
05:36Well, you know, Gorilla, I can understand the talkative point of view as well.
05:40Lex Luger and the Million Dollar Man's walk away.
05:43And his favorite, Lex Luger, with money in his hand that was given to him by DiBiase.
05:50Well, let's face it.
05:51At SummerSlam, somebody's going to have to apologize.
05:56Irish hit this reverse to the far side.
05:58Center.
05:59No.
06:00Luger got the head down a little bit early for Axe Gorilla, and he paid for it.
06:02Pardon the mistake.
06:03You cannot put your head down.
06:05Oh, look at this.
06:06Going for a piledriver here.
06:07Luger trying to kick out of it.
06:08Nice blocking action here by Lex.
06:11Luger underneath now.
06:12He has it.
06:13A 322 pounder.
06:15Crush it quickly.
06:16And Luger caught it in the right hand.
06:17And another right hand, making a trio there.
06:20Right into the nose of Crush.
06:22What an awesome display here by Lex Luger.
06:25Unbelievable.
06:26Crush misses that clothesline.
06:28Luger's got momentum.
06:29Oh, my.
06:30What an impact there.
06:31And Crush, over 300 pounds, knocked outside the ring.
06:35360 and out of there.
06:37Not the place to be here on the concrete.
06:40And Luger right out after him.
06:43Takes Crush right back into the ring.
06:46That's where it's going to be settled.
06:47Inside the sports center here.
06:49These men have battled throughout the WWF SummerSlam tour,
06:53and it's going to be settled right here tonight.
06:56Oh, my.
06:58Oh, no.
06:59That's a scintillating high impact maneuver by Crush.
07:03He's hit the far side.
07:04A great deal of impact.
07:06Make it one more time.
07:08Another high impact blow.
07:10And Crush is focusing on the lower back of Lex Luger.
07:14Going for the cover.
07:15One, two.
07:16And Luger kicked out.
07:17He got the left shoulder up.
07:18Left arm and shoulder came shooting out of there.
07:21Otherwise, it would have been history.
07:24Luger being physically challenged here
07:26by the man from Kona, Kona, Hawaii.
07:30Again, the back, especially the lower back.
07:33The focus right now on Crush.
07:36Everybody knows that Crush has that awesome warehouse
07:39in his records, Bob.
07:40Perhaps we'll see that here tonight.
07:45A very methodical pace has been established by Crush
07:49and Lex Luger is feeling it now.
07:52A real gut check by the man made in the USA,
07:55the intensity and still the pace of Crush.
07:58Crush with his tremendous skills,
08:01his tremendous agility,
08:02it's hard to believe what an awesome figure he is
08:05and still be able to do some of the outstanding moves he does.
08:09Luger really feeling it now.
08:11He's trying to walk it off.
08:13Crush is still going to give it time.
08:15Luger's got to make his own break here
08:16and that's exactly what he's trying to do.
08:19Hard right hand.
08:20Again, feeling their move.
08:22A hook and a right by Crush.
08:24That knocks Luger down.
08:25A right and a kisser.
08:28All sort of punishing moves here.
08:31A submission maneuver applied by Crush.
08:35This has got to be a very painful, painful outfit to put on.
08:39Well, it has to be realistic here.
08:41Anatomically, you're not made that way,
08:43you don't function that way,
08:44and you don't bend that way.
08:47Look at the pain on Lex's face.
08:49Luger really, really being challenged here.
08:52The referee got in great position to see
08:54if Luger wants to give it up,
08:56but there is no quit in the magnificent physical frame
09:00of the man made in the USA, Lex Luger.
09:02A lesser opponent definitely would have submitted by now.
09:06Look at him fight this.
09:09Luger trying to repel some of this pressure here,
09:12trying to get back into some sort of vertical position.
09:15And again, Crush,
09:17that high impact maneuver right on the lower back.
09:19Once he gets you in a compromising position,
09:22he is relentless.
09:25Luger now draped over the bottom rope,
09:27and Crush on the second rope.
09:29Touchdown!
09:30At 322 pounds,
09:32and there's a martial arts thrust blow
09:34right into the kidney area.
09:38One, two, oh!
09:40A half!
09:41Oh my!
09:42Lex Luger just barely, barely able
09:44to get a shoulder up that time.
09:46Lex better start mounting some offense here in a hurry.
09:50Oh, there's the bear hug we talked about.
09:52Exactly as the Hall of Famer Bill Madison called it.
09:55Crush utilizing that bear hug
09:57and that magnificent strength.
09:59And look at the look,
10:00wow, the look on the face of Crush
10:02as he squeezes and squeezes Lex Luger.
10:08Wait a minute.
10:09Look who's here.
10:10Look who's here.
10:11The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase
10:13coming to ringside.
10:15With a fist full of money.
10:17What's going on here?
10:18We'll find out when we come back.
10:22Welcome back, everyone,
10:23to this special edition of Monday Night Raw.
10:25Jim Ross and Bruno Mars sitting back with you
10:27as you saw the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase
10:30still here at ringside.
10:32With a fist full of rematch.
10:34It's actually the one-two.
10:36As, in fact, the Million Dollar Man
10:38fought and paid for
10:40Lex Luger, or is he out here
10:42to offer money to Crush
10:44to put the finishing touches on him?
10:46There's so much speculation
10:49regarding the relationship
10:51or the alleged relationship
10:52between the Million Dollar Man
10:54and Lex Luger
10:55as Crush continues to pummel
10:57the man made in the USA.
11:00Jim Ross, to this point,
11:02Lex has been in so much trouble
11:04he's yet to even put an eye
11:06on the Million Dollar Man.
11:08Hasn't even acknowledged him being there.
11:11He's really had his hands full
11:13trying to fight off this awesome challenge
11:15of Kona Crush.
11:17If that adrenaline is gonna start flowing
11:19in that fantastic body of Lex,
11:21he better get it going.
11:23Crush couldn't find the mark
11:24with the clothesline.
11:25Head to head.
11:27And right there you can see DiBiase.
11:30I wonder if they'll gain eye contact here.
11:32What a collision in mid-ring.
11:34And look at the Million Dollar Man.
11:36Urging Lex Luger to get up.
11:41Said a few words to him.
11:42We don't know what it was,
11:43but Lex yet has not responded
11:46to DiBiase,
11:47has not acknowledged his presence.
11:49DiBiase with a very concerned look on his face.
11:53He has said many times that all Luger needs
11:55to win a championship for WWF
11:57is a million dollars worth of advice
11:59right hand by Crush.
12:00Oh, what a...
12:01And if Luger fights back
12:02with the right hand of his arm
12:03and another right hand by Crush,
12:05what a battle you're seeing right here
12:06on the special edition of Monday Night Raw.
12:09Big roundhouse there by Lex.
12:11He's starting to put it all together.
12:13Luger now building some momentum here.
12:16But Crush fights back.
12:18What an uppercut
12:19that takes Luger all the way down to his knees.
12:22You know, Jim Ross,
12:23Million Dollar Man DiBiase
12:25made a lot of statements,
12:26but everybody knows he's a liar.
12:28Well, he has said that he and Luger
12:30have a private deal
12:32that he would not embarrass Luger
12:34with any public displays.
12:35Great agility there.
12:37Oh, what an impact.
12:39Tremendous impact there.
12:40And Luger with a full head of steam
12:42knocks down the 322-pounder
12:45much to the like of this capacity crowd.
12:48Lex got it going right now.
12:50Irish Rip coming up.
12:51Look out.
12:52Oh, up and over.
12:53Power slam.
12:54Big BR-12.
12:55And a shoulder wrap.
12:56This time, it was a right shoulder
12:58of Crush that came off the canvas.
13:01Well, DiBiase,
13:02as we look right over his shoulder,
13:04is even closer to ringside.
13:07He looks a little bit confused to me
13:09as Lex goes downstairs.
13:12Right hand found his mark.
13:14Look at him measuring him here.
13:15And he caught him.
13:16Great face-off into the DDT.
13:19Great offensive move.
13:20And look at the display of confidence.
13:22Oh, one, two, and a half.
13:24Oh, I thought that was it.
13:25Crush barely able to get that right shoulder up.
13:28No further regarding the integrity
13:29of the Million Dollar Man.
13:30He did say he would bring the Undertaker
13:33back to the WWE, and he did that.
13:35He did say that he was going to build a corporation.
13:37He's done that with the Million Dollar Team,
13:40for example.
13:41I don't know.
13:42This guy has done what he said he was going to do thus far.
13:45Well, he hasn't proven to me that he has bought
13:48and paid for, made in the USA, Lex Luger.
13:51And maybe we will not find that out
13:53until one week from tonight.
13:55Look at this gut wrench.
13:56Oh, boy.
13:57Took him around the islands
13:59as the man torn up Crush and Luger again
14:02with that high-end platform.
14:03Wait a minute.
14:04DiBiase's on the apron.
14:06What's he doing now?
14:07He's offered money to Crush.
14:09Now, I don't understand this.
14:11DiBiase on the apron.
14:12Or Fistful of $100 bills.
14:17He said, take the money and leave him alone.
14:19Is that what he said?
14:20Is this a distraction?
14:21Does he realize that Crush is in deep trouble?
14:24Well, Crush slapping that money right out of his hand.
14:29But Luger getting up on the far side of the ring.
14:32Luger back up to vertical base here.
14:35Has DiBiase bought time for Lex Luger?
14:39And Luger caught him.
14:40Oh, he hit him with a toolbox.
14:42That loaded, steel-plated four.
14:44Forget about it.
14:45He got him.
14:46One, two, three.
14:47And the man made in the USA defeats Crush right here
14:52on this special edition of Monday Night Raw.
14:55Luger.
14:56$1 million man, DiBiase picking up his belongings.
14:59What was his purpose here, Jim Ross,
15:01to save Lex Luger from defeat or to pay Crush
15:04to do a number on him?
15:06Gorilla, I'm totally confused, ladies and gentlemen.
15:08As we go back live to our WWF studios
15:11with Vince and the Macho Man.
15:12Gentlemen, what do you think's going on here?
15:15I don't know, Jim.
15:16It's obvious that you and Gorilla feel as though
15:18Lex Luger has not sold out.
15:21But I don't know a number of you, as a matter of fact,
15:23as of late, feel as though he has sold out.
15:26And Randy Savage in the hot seat here tonight
15:28live in our WWF studios.
15:30Has Lex Luger sold out to the million dollar man,
15:33yes or no?
15:34I like the hot seat.
15:35I think he has sold out.
15:37Really?
15:38That's my opinion.
15:39Undoubtedly, certainly money a factor in this.
15:42And surely you have to grant that Ted DiBiase
15:45is one of the most prolific managers in all of the WWF.
15:48That's where you're wrong.
15:49He's not a manager.
15:50He's a manager.
15:51You're wrong.
15:52He's not a manager.
15:53He's an owner.
15:54Get that straight.
15:55Trust me on that one right there.
15:56An owner?
15:57Yeah.
15:58Can I have the envelope, please, right now?
15:59I've been doing a little investigation on my own.
16:01Leslie Nielsen's got nothing on me.
16:03Well, what is this?
16:04Oh, man.
16:06Don't kill the messenger.
16:07The DNA matches.
16:10Lex Luger is going to sell out seven days from today
16:14at SummerSlam in Chi-Town at the United Center.
16:17He's going to sell out.
16:18All right, you heard the opinion of Randy Savage.
16:20I'm so disappointed.
16:21What's your opinion, ladies and gentlemen?
16:23Let's take you now to the WWF SummerSlam hotline.
16:26Yes, it's an opportunity to cast your vote.
16:28The number 1-900-454-SLAM.
16:31$1.49 for the first minute,
16:3399 cents for each additional minute.
16:35And, kids, you must be at least 18 years old
16:37or have your parents' permission before calling.
16:40Again, the opinion poll is open.
16:42Has Lex Luger sold out to the million-dollar man Ted DiBiase?
16:46All of that plus an opportunity to hear special interviews.
16:49As a matter of fact, up right now, I believe, is Razor Ramon,
16:53the bad guy himself.
16:54I can't believe this.
16:55Well, maybe your research is wrong, Randy.
16:57I mean, you know, who knows?
16:59I'm so disappointed in Lex Luger.
17:02All right, when we return, ladies and gentlemen,
17:04joining us in a very special interview,
17:06the World Wrestling Federation champion,
17:09the Hitman, Bret Hart,
17:11standing for more Monday Night Raw.
17:13Oh, man.
17:20You're too much.
17:21Pretty cute.
17:22Yeah, no doubt about that.
17:23Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen,
17:24more Monday Night Raw.
17:26And, of course, SummerSlam is only one week away.
17:29One week from tonight, ladies and gentlemen,
17:32SummerSlam emanating from the brand-new United Center.
17:35What about it, Randy Savage?
17:37Well, do it macho style.
17:39Pay-per-view all over the world.
17:41Call the cable company that you're listening and watching to right now.
17:45And to make it real simple,
17:47get your last billing out,
17:49and in the corner, there's a telephone number,
17:51and you can order the World Wrestling Federation SummerSlam
17:54from Chi-Town one week from today.
17:57It's going to be explosive.
17:59Yes, it is.
18:00It's just that easy, huh?
18:01Just that easy.
18:02It's macho style, yeah.
18:04All right.
18:05And, of course, those of you who have interactive systems,
18:07all you have to do is mash the button when appropriate.
18:09No doubt everyone, ladies and gentlemen,
18:11is going to be right there,
18:12a ringside seat in your very own home.
18:15It's pay-per-view World Wrestling Federation style
18:17one week from tonight.
18:19However, speaking of SummerSlam, ladies and gentlemen,
18:22let's take you back to some of the events that led up to SummerSlam.
18:25It's Bret Hart and Owen inside the steel cage.
18:28Let's take you back now and revisit some of the Royal Rumble.
18:32Take a look.
18:33It was there that we saw Bret and Owen working together
18:36as two brothers should as a team
18:38for the WWF Tag Team Championship.
18:41However, it was not to be due to an injury to the knee
18:44Bret received during the match.
18:46Owen was absolutely furious with Bret
18:49as he realized his chances at WWF gold had evaporated.
18:54We all watched, stunned, as Owen ranted and raved
18:57that it was Bret's fault.
18:59His anger increased, culminating in the unthinkable.
19:02He kicked Bret in that injured knee.
19:05No one could fathom this outrageous behavior
19:08that we learned later on that Owen not only blamed Bret for losing
19:11but claimed Bret did it intentionally
19:14because he was too selfish to allow Owen any glory.
19:18Well, the two brothers finally met at WrestleMania X
19:21to settle their sibling rivalry.
19:23Bret and Owen had both learned wrestling techniques
19:25and maneuvers as children from their father, Stu Hart.
19:28Now, as adults, these two WWF superstars
19:31were using those same moves against one another for real.
19:37And when the match ended, it was Owen who was victorious.
19:40He had finally bested his bigger brother, Bret.
19:43However, later on in the night,
19:45Bret went on to win the coveted WWF Championship
19:48in a match against the awesome Yokozuna.
19:51Owen watched the celebration in disbelief,
19:54his sense of unfairness fueled by his belief
19:57he should be the champion and not Bret.
20:00At the WWF King of the Ring this summer,
20:02Bret defended the championship against Diesel
20:05with the help of his brother-in-law,
20:07Jim The Anvil Neidhardt.
20:09The Anvil came to Bret's rescue,
20:11causing Bret to lose the match because of a disqualification,
20:14but that meant Bret did not lose the belt.
20:17Now, later on in the night, Owen met Razor Ramon
20:20in a match to determine the King of the Ring.
20:22Jim Neidhardt came to ringside during this match
20:25seemingly to help Razor,
20:27when all of a sudden, he clotheslines him.
20:30The Anvil beat up Razor and threw him into the ring,
20:33forcing Owen to win the match.
20:35What was going on here?
20:37Well, it turns out that the Anvil
20:39had been behind Owen's rebellion from the start,
20:42and it only wanted to ensure that Bret kept the belt
20:45so that Owen could win it at SummerSlam.
20:48Two weeks ago, we saw just how upset the Hart family is
20:51at Owen and the Anvil
20:53when Bruce Hart was a guest on the King's Court.
20:56One week from tonight,
20:58WWF Champion Bret the Hitman Hart
21:01will face his brother, the King of Hearts, Owen,
21:04in a steel cage match.
21:06A 15-foot steel cage will surround the perimeter of the ring,
21:10ensuring Bret and Owen stay inside
21:13and the rest of the family stays out.
21:16The World Wrestling Federation title
21:18will no longer be yours, Bret.
21:20It's over. It's over, Bret.
21:22It's all come to an end.
21:24You are finished come SummerSlam.
21:26There is gonna be a new reign in the Hart family.
21:29It is gonna be me, and the whole family
21:31is gonna jump on my bandwagon.
21:33But this will be settled between you and me, Bret.
21:36Nobody is gonna interfere.
21:38It'll be settled, and I am gonna become
21:41the World Wrestling Federation champion.
21:43And I want you to take a look
21:45exactly how it's gonna be
21:47on that hot summer night, Bret.
21:52Well, who knows how it's really gonna be
21:54on the hot summer night, ladies and gentlemen.
21:56One week from tonight, we can promise you
21:58one of the greatest steel cage matches
22:00you will ever see with two of the greatest competitors.
22:03What a matchup this is gonna be.
22:05And by the way, this steel cage is designed, I think,
22:07not necessarily to keep the two combatants in the ring
22:09as it normally is, but rather to keep
22:11all of the family members, including Jim,
22:13the Anvil Nightheart, on the outside of the cage.
22:16I mean, the Hart family is gonna be represented
22:18as never before at SummerSlam.
22:20What a dangerous match, too.
22:2215-foot high steel cage!
22:25It is exciting.
22:27It's emotional and dangerous at the same time.
22:29I have aches and pains from being
22:31in 15-foot high steel cage matches,
22:33and Vince McMahon, that's why I'm not as pretty
22:35as I could be sitting here because of those vicious battles.
22:38I see. I'm sure of that.
22:40Standing by right now, ladies and gentlemen,
22:42the WWF champion, the Hitman himself,
22:44with a very special interview.
22:46Let's take you to the tape.
22:51All right, ladies and gentlemen,
22:53we are approximately one week away
22:55from SummerSlam,
22:57and my guess at this time
22:59will defend his championship,
23:02his friend, the Hitman Hart!
23:06Oh, what a matchup, ladies and gentlemen,
23:08at SummerSlam inside the 15-foot solid steel cage.
23:13What an emotional time for the Hart family.
23:16And perhaps once and for all at this sibling rivalry.
23:22There'll be plenty of fireworks
23:24in the brand-new United Center
23:26next week at SummerSlam.
23:32Hitman is ready.
23:38All right, Brent, just last week
23:40we heard your brother Owen's comments
23:42from inside the 15-foot high solid steel cage.
23:45Now, as a matter of fact,
23:47he has stated that he will rattle your cage
23:50at SummerSlam.
23:52Now, the emotions obviously have to be running high
23:55right now in the Hart family.
23:57How do you feel?
24:00How do I feel?
24:10Owen, the lost and confused soul that he is,
24:15he won one match.
24:17That's all it was.
24:19Let's be honest, Owen, in that one match,
24:22there was a lot of emotional pride at stake.
24:26But the World Wrestling Federation championship belt,
24:30the most coveted championship belt in the whole world,
24:34was not on the line.
24:37It's a whole different ball of wax
24:40in a 15-foot high steel cage match.
24:44Everything is on the line.
24:48The title is on the line.
24:51The family honor is on the line.
24:55He wants to call himself the King of Hearts.
25:04You know, everybody in my family,
25:08my mother, my father, all my brothers and sisters,
25:13you're talking about the entire Hart clan
25:17is going to be making that trip down to Chicago
25:20in the SummerSlam
25:22because they want to be there for one reason.
25:26Because no matter what happens,
25:29it is going to end right there
25:32in a 15-foot high steel cage match.
25:37The most dangerous.
25:40I mean, this is a match where people,
25:42you end careers in this match.
25:45And I think it's a shame that it had to come down to this.
25:50The two brothers own flesh and blood
25:53that we couldn't work something else
25:55a little different than this on.
25:57But you know, and I know,
25:59that you pushed this to the limit.
26:02You're the one that won the 15-foot high steel cage match.
26:05And, brother, you got it.
26:08You know, people talk about WrestleMania
26:10and that one victory for you
26:13that seemed to rocket you up to where you are.
26:17But you know, Owen,
26:19I maybe took it just a little bit easy on you
26:21in WrestleMania X.
26:23Maybe I was concentrating on other things.
26:27But I'm not going to be looking at anything else but you.
26:30And as far as Jim Neidhart goes,
26:33I've talked about how fat he was,
26:37but I failed to mention that he's really stupid, too.
26:42Because, Anvil,
26:45you're on the outside of this cage match.
26:47You can't do a thing.
26:49So, Owen, you know how I look at things?
26:53I remember when you were a little baby
26:57and you were in the crib.
26:59You had your wet diapers on.
27:01And I used to climb up.
27:04I used to climb up and do, like, a chin-up on your crib
27:08and just look at you.
27:11And you know, you used to cry.
27:13Well, it's going to be the exact same thing
27:16in the SummerSlam.
27:18I'm going to peer through that bars,
27:20that 15-foot-high steel cage match
27:22with the World Wrestling Federation championship belt
27:25draped over my shoulder.
27:27And, Owen, you're going to cry yourself a river of tears
27:33when you get used to the fact that you lost
27:36to the excellence of execution,
27:38the best there is, the best there was,
27:40and the best there ever will be.
27:46Cry me a river.
27:48The Brothers Hart will finally sell it once and for all
27:52in just seven days at SummerSlam.
27:55Promotional consideration paid for by the following.
28:09Welcome back, everyone, to more Monday Night Raw,
28:11very special edition, live from the WWF studios,
28:14Vince McMahon along with the macho man Randy Savage.
28:16And the question is, will Leslie Nielsen solve the case
28:21of the mystery of the Undertakers at SummerSlam,
28:23Randy Savage?
28:24What do you think?
28:25Well, I think he possibly could
28:27if Geraldo Rivera plays a geek on Baywatch
28:29and if David Letterman admits to being intimidated
28:32by Madonna and Bianca Jagger
28:35and Bianca Jagger to run for presidency of Nicaragua.
28:39If all those things happen, I think that, yes,
28:41he can solve the case of the Undertaker.
28:43Leslie Nielsen, yeah, yeah.
28:45Good point.
28:46But all those things got to fall into place.
28:48They do. No doubt about it.
28:49Eat your heart out, Charlie Chan,
28:51because Leslie Nielsen is on the case,
28:53hot on the trail of the mystery of the Undertakers
28:56at SummerSlam.
28:57Let's take you to Leslie.
28:58Put him on.
28:59No, thanks.
29:00He was taken away in his prime and won.
29:04Where no other man has been.
29:08Now, he has returned.
29:11That's right. I'm back.
29:14It's me. I'm undercover.
29:16To solve the mystery of the Undertaker,
29:18because I'm a man with no fear,
29:20I have seen the light.
29:24What was that?
29:28Hey, fellas.
29:31The lights.
29:33Gary in here. Come on, fellas.
29:37Detective's log.
29:38One of the most mysterious superstars of the WWF is missing,
29:41and they've come to me as the one man with the ability
29:44and the know-how to find him.
29:45The one man, they say, who can track down anything.
29:49To locate missing persons requires organization,
29:53discipline, intelligence.
29:54But the most important thing of all is...
29:56Yeah, Domino's? Send it right up.
29:59The most important thing of all
30:00is never going to work on an empty stomach.
30:02Now, where'd I put my pen?
30:05Oh, boy.
30:07Oop.
30:08Yes.
30:09Pizza.
30:10Now, put it on the desk.
30:20Boy, it certainly got cold around here.
30:24Oh, yeah.
30:25Domino's delivers SummerSlam,
30:27and we're going to be delivering you the matchup
30:29between Diesel, the Intercontinental Champion,
30:32and Typhoon, when we return.
30:34Yes, indeed.
30:35It's the battle of the big boys right here
30:37in a special edition of Monday Night Raw.
30:47Welcome back, everyone.
30:48I'm your host, Gary Smith.
30:51Welcome back, everyone, to more Monday Night Raw.
30:53Vince McMahon, Macho Man, Randy Savage.
30:55By the way, last night,
30:56during the live interaction portion, rather,
30:58of Sunday Night Slam, the Big Mouth, Jerry the King Lawler,
31:01opened his mouth, made a challenge.
31:03That challenge answered by Chicago's own Mancow Muller.
31:07I like it.
31:08And there is going to be a very special
31:10charity softball game, ladies and gentlemen.
31:12There it is, the WWF Superstars
31:15against the Chicago Media All-Stars
31:17the day before Summer Slam
31:20at 1 p.m. in the afternoon.
31:22That's Sunday, August 28th at 1 o'clock.
31:25Northwestern University Softball Field is the location.
31:29And there is a $5 donation, Randy Savage.
31:31That Royal Flusher, the Geek Lawler,
31:33I am going to be the umpire,
31:35and it's for special children's charities,
31:38the Chicago Special Olympics.
31:40I do it every year, and I am the umpire.
31:42I'm going to call the balls and the strikes.
31:44And guess what? He's going to get called on the strikes.
31:46I don't care if that ball goes over the stadium.
31:48I'm psyched up.
31:50Knuckleball may still be on strike,
31:52but certainly the WWF Superstars are on it.
31:54We're playing baseball, yeah.
31:56You got it.
31:57And by the way, ladies and gentlemen,
31:58speaking of a big league hitter,
32:00that would lead us, of course, to Diesel
32:02defending the Intercontinental Championship at Summer Slam
32:05against the former Intercontinental title holder,
32:07the bad guy himself, Razor Ramon.
32:09What a matchup that's going to be.
32:12Sweetness in the corner.
32:13You bet it.
32:14And, of course, Shawn in the other corner.
32:16Right now, let's take you to matchup.
32:18Diesel squaring off against the big boy himself, Typhoon.
32:21Take a look.
32:24You feel the earth moving, Goretta?
32:26Holy mackerel.
32:28This is one huge, huge individual.
32:34Did you hear that?
32:35384 pounds.
32:39Typhoon at 384,
32:41set to take on the 7-foot Intercontinental Champion
32:46in this special non-title event.
32:49Non-title, indeed.
32:51Shawn Michaels and Big Diesel, no dummies.
32:54This is the first time, I think,
32:56that we're ever going to see Diesel
32:59in there with somebody heavier than he is.
33:01Look at the headlights.
33:02And right in front of the headlights,
33:04you see Shawn Michaels,
33:05who will be leading perhaps the most awesome competitor
33:09currently competing in the WWF.
33:12All seven feet tall of him,
33:14the reigning Intercontinental Champion, Diesel.
33:18And he is something.
33:20He is a powerhouse.
33:21He can dominate anyone.
33:23He'll have his hands full right here tonight
33:26with the big Typhoon.
33:28What a challenge match.
33:29As a big 7-footer steps right over the top rope here.
33:34Shawn Michaels, the boy toy,
33:36will be at ringside.
33:38Fireworks exploding.
33:40Ladies and gentlemen,
33:41we'll take a commercial break,
33:42and we'll be back with this non-title matchup
33:45right after this.
33:49We're back, ladies and gentlemen,
33:51on this special edition of Monday Night Raw.
33:54And as usual,
33:55Shawn Michaels has asserted himself
33:58already in this contest,
34:00verbally taunting Typhoon.
34:02Distracts him,
34:03one of his tremendous M.O.'s,
34:05and I'm sure that he'll be using that ploy
34:08at SummerSlam
34:09as they try to get by, once again,
34:11Razor Ramon with,
34:13I don't know,
34:14a whole lot of trouble working in Razor's corner as well.
34:17Ball and elbow tie-up.
34:19And this is certainly one situation
34:20where Diesel will not have the size and strength advantage
34:24as we mentioned Typhoon weighed in
34:26at 384 pounds.
34:28And there you see Shawn Michaels,
34:30a man that the NFL Hall of Famer...
34:32Oh, look at that!
34:33Diesel muscling Typhoon back into the corner
34:35with those forearms.
34:36What a power display here by Diesel.
34:39He's got it, too.
34:41As I was about to say,
34:42Walter Payton will be in Razor Ramon's corner
34:45in seven days in the United Center in Chicago
34:48at SummerSlam
34:49as Razor missed the...
34:51Oh, what a collision!
34:52The irresistible force just met the immovable object.
34:55And Typhoon scoops up
34:57The seven-footer slams him.
34:59One, two, and...
35:00Oh, he got his shoulder up!
35:02Shawn Michaels, a little of surprise.
35:04Have a look at the kisser of Shawn Michaels.
35:10I'll tell you something,
35:11you don't see Diesel treated like this ever.
35:13And Typhoon is doing it here in the early going.
35:15I was about to say earlier,
35:17Shawn Michaels, as we know,
35:19has a propensity to get involved in Diesel's conflicts.
35:23Walter Payton will be in Razor Ramon's corner
35:26and Walter has said
35:27that he will keep his eye on Shawn Michaels
35:30and do whatever it takes
35:32to ensure that Shawn does not interfere
35:34in the Intercontinental Championship match.
35:36Well, I'm sure that no one could question...
35:39Oh, look at this.
35:40He distracted him right there.
35:41He did it. That's his job.
35:43He didn't touch him, but he distracted Typhoon
35:46and Diesel took advantage of the situation.
35:49Look out.
35:50Irish at first.
35:51Oh, nailed him.
35:53He got elevated for that shoulder block
35:56and just put the big Typhoon down.
35:59You know, Diesel is so physically gifted.
36:02Without a doubt,
36:03he is the greatest Intercontinental Champion
36:06of all time.
36:07Hard elbow.
36:08Out of breath.
36:09Will he be over?
36:10Almost.
36:13Razor Ramon may debate me on that point, Gorilla.
36:16I'm sure he would.
36:17He was the Intercontinental Champion.
36:19He lost it to Diesel.
36:20The big rematch at SummerSlam in seven days.
36:23But I want to tell you this.
36:24At the King of the Ring, in my opinion,
36:26if it hadn't been for Jim The Anvil Neidhart,
36:29Diesel would now be the WWF Champion.
36:32Boy, that's very, very possible.
36:34You know, Jim Ross,
36:35nobody's going to question the credentials
36:37of Walter Payton
36:38and what he's done in the NFL.
36:40But Walter Payton, remember, also
36:42has never had to deal with the likes
36:45and cunning of Shawn Michaels.
36:47I think Walter, as you mentioned,
36:48a legend on the gridiron
36:50at Soldier Field in Chicago,
36:52as a matter of fact.
36:53But he, I think, could put himself
36:56into some jeopardy here.
36:57Boy, could he ever.
36:59Typhoon back up to a vertical base,
37:01and he nails those elbows
37:02right into the abdomen of Diesel.
37:04And Diesel came back with a thumb to the face,
37:07sending Typhoon back to the corner.
37:09And look here.
37:10Great flexibility from this seven-footer.
37:12Certainly got a tremendous amount of attributes
37:15that he deals with.
37:16And let's face it.
37:17Typhoon, at any given time,
37:19can put the lights out for anybody.
37:21Typhoon able to move out of the way there.
37:23And now let's see if the big man at 384
37:27can regain the advantage here.
37:28Look at those big right hands.
37:30Big hands right on the side of the head
37:33of the Intercontinental Champion.
37:34Irish whip.
37:35He caught him with the elbow.
37:36Right in the stomach.
37:37Look out.
37:38Here he goes.
37:39The agility and quickness of the seven-footer
37:42able to avoid the contact.
37:45The pool was empty.
37:47Over the bear head here.
37:49And look at the mass.
37:50I wonder if Diesel Gorilla can put this big man
37:53in his jackknife.
37:54Wouldn't surprise me.
37:57Irish whip here in time.
37:59Whoa!
38:00Nicely followed in.
38:01Diesel in trouble.
38:02This is a good check for the Intercontinental Champion
38:06as Typhoon is using that mass and that weight
38:10to his advantage.
38:11Again, to the far side.
38:13He's got a full head of steel.
38:14Oh!
38:15Oh, no!
38:16He got kicked right in the face.
38:17That size 18.
38:18And what a clothesline.
38:19What a clothesline.
38:20He's got it.
38:21It's over.
38:22He's got it right there.
38:23What a tremendous victory.
38:26Oh, my.
38:27The Intercontinental Champion.
38:29The kick right to the face.
38:30Follows it out with a scintillating clothesline.
38:34And the gifted seven-foot Intercontinental Champion
38:39with a very impressive victory here on this special edition
38:43of Monday Night Raw.
38:45What a message he is sending to everyone.
38:48These guys are cocky, and they have a right to be.
38:52What a battle it will be in seven days.
38:54The bad guy, Razor Ramon, and Diesel one-on-one.
38:59But can Walter Payton neutralize that man, Shawn Michaels?
39:03Let's hear now from Sweetness himself.
39:06That's right.
39:08Oyenos, listen to us.
39:12SummerSlam is just one week away.
39:17That's the night where everybody knows the bad guy is going to fight Big Daddy Cool,
39:25Diesel, for the Intercontinental title.
39:30Yo, Diesel, chico, this time it's going to be different.
39:36It's just you and me.
39:40Face-to-face, mano-a-mano.
39:44Because Walter, he going to make sure that the boy toy stay out of my way.
39:52I'm glad Razor asked me to be in his corner.
39:55Because I've seen Shawn Michaels' cheap shots.
39:57And you know what?
39:58He'll do anything to win.
40:00Well, the only thing that I'm sure of that, hey, it's not going to happen at SummerSlam.
40:05So, Razor, all you have to worry about is the Diesel.
40:08I'll take care of the boy toy.
40:11We'll see you both at SummerSlam.
40:24Welcome back, everyone, to more of a special edition of Monday Night Raw.
40:28Vince McMahon and the Macho Man Randy Savage live emanating from our WWF studios.
40:32Many of you were with us, ladies and gentlemen, live as well.
40:35Last Monday night, Monday Night Raw, it was a king's court.
40:39It would not to be believed, actually, for words to that effect.
40:43Right.
40:44And I think you could say the very same thing for this past year's Royal Rumble.
40:48I mean, that was the last time, Randy Savage, that we all saw the Undertaker in the squared circle.
40:54That is Paul Bearer's Undertaker.
40:56It took Yokozuna and 455 of the top World Wrestling Federation superstars
41:01to stuff the Undertaker into the casket.
41:04And then what happened after that, Vince McMahon?
41:06The transformation that followed.
41:08Well, let me just tell you something.
41:10It gave me the willies.
41:12Yes, it did.
41:13Mercy.
41:14And we all had the willies as well, ladies and gentlemen.
41:17Just last week, live from Lowell, Massachusetts, it was Monday Night Raw.
41:21I mean, the lights began to flicker.
41:23Yes, there was a certain ambiance that was not to be believed.
41:26There was no doubt that Paul Bearer's Undertaker was there, at least in spirit, if no other way.
41:32We were in the dark.
41:34Let's hopefully not stay that way.
41:35Let's go back to last week, the king's court.
41:38Did you hear that, Undertaker?
41:40He said you'll be destroyed at SummerSlam.
41:43Why don't you show Paul Bearer right now what's going to happen at SummerSlam?
41:49Hey, wait a minute.
41:50Wait a minute.
41:51He's choking him down.
41:52Paul Bearer's choking him down.
41:55Paul Bearer's going down.
41:57Look at that.
41:58He's being choked down.
41:59The Undertaker's choking him down.
42:00Where's your Undertaker now, Paul Bearer?
42:02Look at this.
42:03Hey, wait a minute.
42:06The lights are flickering here.
42:09Wait a minute.
42:13We're in total darkness here on Monday Night Raw.
42:17We're live.
42:18And wait a minute.
42:19Wait a minute.
42:24My Undertaker.
42:25Where's the pup?
42:26He's here.
42:27What is going on?
42:28He's here.
42:30Can't you feel him?
42:33My Undertaker is here.
42:40Commercial considerations paid for by the following.
42:44I always like to keep my favorite snack handy.
42:49Need a little excitement?
42:50Step into a Slim Jim.
42:52Oh, yeah.
42:54Welcome back, everyone.
42:55And yes, Randy Savage, would you care to embellish exactly how you felt last week when the lights went out?
43:01I'll be very honest with you.
43:03We were in the dark.
43:04I don't like being in the dark.
43:06I've got darkophobia.
43:07Darkophobia.
43:08Yes, I do.
43:09Well, Paul Bear, ladies and gentlemen, claims that the very same Undertaker we last saw at the Royal Rumble is going to be the same Undertaker that returns to SummerSlam.
43:18So it's Paul Bear's Undertaker squaring off against the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase's Undertaker.
43:24What a matchup.
43:25Randy Savage, who wins the match?
43:27I say it's going to be the Undertaker.
43:30Dead or right.
43:32With that in mind, ladies and gentlemen, let's take you back now to Leslie Nielsen.
43:35Still hot on the case.
43:37I'm sure he's going to solve it unless some mad elephant runs through or something like that.
43:40That happened just a little while ago.
43:43For weeks, I've been flying all over the world, tracking down every lead I could in my attempts to solve this mystery of the Undertaker.
43:55But every trail I followed led to another dead end.
44:02I don't know what it is, but I feel I'm onto something.
44:12All right, fans, Ray Rougeau here.
44:14The Undertaker mystery is thickening.
44:17I want to start that over.
44:18I didn't like it.
44:19There I was, heading poolside, trying to catch some rain.
44:24Sorry, Ray.
44:25The girls were feeling macho.
44:27Macho, man, you're so big.
44:31Easy now, girls.
44:32It's family entertainment.
44:34I had work to do.
44:36I was scanning around the globe for clues to the biggest mystery of our time.
44:41The sun was extremely bright.
44:44If your deductive capabilities were a fraction of what you profess, this incongruable keeper would have been solved by now.
44:51Thank you, Sam.
44:52Right kid.
44:53And he was right.
44:55After all this time, I'm still tormented by that one burning question.
44:59How can there be two Undertakers?
45:02Maybe one is corrupt like you.
45:04Police, arrest that man.
45:09I will solve this case at SummerSlam.
45:17Welcome back, everyone.
45:18We'd like to thank you very much for joining us for this very special edition of Monday Night Raw.
45:22And a special preemption notice, by the way.
45:25We will not be on the air for the next two weeks here on USA.
45:28You're kidding.
45:29No, no Monday Night Raw for two weeks.
45:31Why?
45:32Yeah.
45:33Well, because of the U.S. Open.
45:35You've got to be ribbing.
45:36No, it's tennis for everyone right here on USA Network.
45:39That's horrible.
45:40Well, you don't play, I gather.
45:42Nonetheless, ladies and gentlemen.
45:43Maybe they'll go on strike and we'll be here anyway.
45:46Hey, anything can happen.
45:47That's for sure.
45:48Nonetheless, we do invite you.
45:49One week from tonight, we won't be on the air for Monday Night Raw, but we will be on the air, ladies and gentlemen,
45:54for the pay-per-view extravaganza as only the World Wrestling Federation can bring you.
45:59Of course, it is SummerSlam live from the brand-new United Center.
46:03The new WWF generation from a brand-new United Center.
46:07That tennis is just a racket anyway.
46:09SummerSlam pay-per-view all over the world.
46:13So long, everybody.
46:14Bye-bye.
