00:00The Finance Department believes that the Filipinos are doing their best to improve their livelihoods.

00:11According to Finance Secretary Ralph Recto,

00:14the President Marcos Jr. has a high approval rating despite rising inflation.

00:23It is also clear that the government has laid out various social programs to reduce the high price of goods.

00:33In fact, almost 50% of the Filipino families are expected to benefit from the funds this year.

00:43We do have a lot of social programs that we're undertaking.

00:49More or less, 50% of all Filipino families will benefit from the budget this year.

00:55The aid programs, 4Ps, ACAP, AIGS, MAIB, you put them all together, that's more than 500 billion.

01:05You're talking about roughly 12 billion families will benefit from that.

01:09So this is like a wealth transfer.

01:12So all of that helps ordinary citizens to cope up with inflation.

01:18So it's not included in that number, but it's included in the increase in the approval rating of the President and the entire government.

01:29Now, you are correct that the inflation is a number one concern.

01:34If you take a look at the different programs of government,

01:37the rate of the people there has a good approval rating in the various programs of our President.
