00:16And I'm gonna show you exactly how to do that in this video,

00:45Okay, so the first thing we're gonna do
00:46is figure out who our main competitor is
00:49that's ranking for the keyword we want to rank for.
00:51So let's say we're a builder in London.
00:53Let's type builder in London into Google,
00:55and we're gonna open up the top-ranking website
00:57because that's our main competitor.
00:59Next, we're gonna plug that website's URL
01:01into a tool called Search Atlas,
01:03then select Domain, and then set your country.
01:06So in our case, we're gonna put in United Kingdom.
01:08Now, as you can see, they've got 233 keywords,
01:11so let's click on Keywords.
01:12What we're gonna do here is steal their traffic.
01:15We'll go through their entire list of keywords
01:17that are pulling in traffic,
01:18and we're gonna focus on the most searched ones.
01:20So we'll sort all the keywords by monthly search volume
01:23and the ranking position.
01:24Now we can see which keywords are ranking
01:26in position number one,
01:27and if they're getting a substantial amount
01:29of search volume per month.
01:30You can see here it's giving us ideas
01:32of what we can target.
01:33For example, we have Dormer Windows,
01:35Builders Company, and London Builders.
01:37As you can see, 260 people a month
01:40are searching for London Builders Company.
01:42Now, these keywords all have commercial intent,
01:44meaning people are actively looking for a local builder.
01:47And then you've got Flooring Contractors,
01:49which is ranking in position four
01:51with 110 people a month searching for it.
01:53So let's focus on this keyword
01:54and do a quick search for Flooring Contractors London.
01:57As you'll see, loads of websites showing up,
01:59and the one we're analysing
02:00are also ranking on the first page of Google.
02:03This shows us there's demand
02:04and other companies are making dedicated websites
02:06and service pages around this service.
02:08So now what we want to do is steal all of this traffic.
02:11And one way to do this
02:12is by making a brand new niche website
02:14solely focusing on this service.
02:16So head over to GoDaddy and type in the main keyword,
02:19Flooring Contractor London.
02:21You'll see that sadly,
02:22flooringcontractorslondon.co.uk
02:25is a premium domain for sale at 1,000 pounds.
02:28Now, unless you're willing to buy it,
02:29that might not be the best option.
02:31So what we're gonna do is find a variation.
02:34For example, we will search for London Flooring Contractors,
02:37and we still have all the important keywords in there.
02:39And look, londonflooringcontractors.co.uk is available,
02:42and you can buy it for just a penny.
02:44It's a simple variation,
02:45but you're still getting all the keywords in the domain
02:48for a fraction of the price.
02:49So next, we're gonna design
02:50a really professional-looking website
02:53specifically targeting the keyword,
02:54London Flooring Contractors.
02:56Now that we've got the keyword we want to target,
02:58the next step is to look at all the flooring-related pages
03:01that the competitor's website is ranking for.
03:03First, we're gonna click on Advanced Filters,
03:06type in flooring, and then hit Apply.
03:08Now you can see that this page
03:10is ranking for flooring-related keywords.
03:12Next, we're gonna click on Organic Keywords
03:14and see all of the flooring keywords
03:16this page is targeting and ranking for.
03:18After seeing this data,
03:19we now know the main keywords we need to focus on,
03:23like Flooring Contractors London,
03:24Flooring Installation London, and other variations.
03:27Now we can create a separate page
03:28for Flooring Installation London
03:30since it gets a decent amount of search traffic.
03:32Similarly, we can create a page
03:33for Flooring Suppliers London
03:35because we know it also has a good amount
03:36of monthly searches.
03:38By building out content and dedicated pages
03:40for these various keywords,
03:41we'll be able to target all the relevant search terms.
03:44This strategy is gonna help us outrank competitors
03:46on Google by creating a fully-optimized flooring website.
03:49Next, we want to rank in the map pack
03:51for the keyword Flooring Contractors London.
03:53Now to do that, our goal is to make sure
03:55we're the best-reviewed company in the London area
03:57for Flooring Contractors.
03:59For example, in the map pack,
04:00you can see listings like Commercial Flooring London
04:03and London Flooring Fitters,
04:04and also London Commercial Flooring,
04:06along with their reviews.
04:07So we want our business listing to show up here.
04:10Looking at the competition,
04:11one company has 18 reviews, another has 70.
04:14So to rank here, we only need around 20 five-star reviews.
04:18So we'll focus on optimizing our Google business profile
04:20and get reviews to make sure
04:22we're one of the best-reviewed companies
04:23in the map pack for Flooring Contractors in London.
04:26Once your Google business profile
04:27has been live for a few months,
04:28it will start gathering all the search data
04:30that you can use to optimize
04:31your business listings and website.
04:34This is our client's Google business listing that we manage.
04:36And here you can see how many searches
04:38triggered their business listing.
04:39So for our client, 6,171 searches were triggered
04:43whenever someone typed in these keywords.
04:45And when we click on the See More button,
04:47it will show us all the keywords triggering the listing.
04:49With this information, you can identify relevant keywords
04:52which are triggering the listings,
04:53and you can then integrate these keywords
04:55into your Google business listing,
04:57website, and business description.
04:59Now you can create more pages for your websites,
05:01targeting these terms and optimizing your business profile.
05:04By continuously using this data,
05:05you can make sure your business ranks higher in the map pack
05:08and shows up for more keywords,
05:10leading to better visibility and more potential clients.
05:13Now the next step is to go back to Search Atlas
05:15and click on Backlink.
05:17Here we'll focus on the referring domains.
05:20While a website may have thousands of backlinks,
05:21what really matters is the actual number
05:23of unique referring websites.
05:25So our competitor's website has 65,000 backlinks,
05:28but only 136 referring domains.
05:31And we're gonna focus on those 136 sites.
05:33Now we'll analyze these referring domains
05:35to see where our competitor is listed.
05:37For instance, you can see they're listed
05:39on business directories like London Review.
05:41The goal is to get listed on these same websites.
05:43To do that, we'll reach out to them
05:45and work on getting our business listed.
05:47We can also export this entire list of directories
05:49into a CSV file and systematically go through each website.
05:53This way you can steal your competitor's
05:54entire backlinking strategy and start ranking higher
05:57and getting more traffic onto your website.

06:04and analyzing their keywords using Search Atlas.

06:09around those high traffic keywords,

06:18to ensure you're the best reviewed company in the area.
06:21Once your listing has gathered data,
06:23use it to identify additional keywords
06:25to enhance your website and listing.
06:27And finally, examine the competitor's backlink profile,
06:29focusing on unique referring domains
06:32and systematically get your business listed on those sites.
