00:00Just an incredible, incredible run.
00:02And now, look, the funny thing is, we talk about logic
00:06and how a lot of this defies a lot of baseball logic.
00:10Kang, you brought up off the air that no team with metrics like this,
00:14like without a hundred RBI guy or...
00:1675 or something like that RBIs, like without guys over 25 home runs.
00:22Certain, you know, it's amazing.
00:24Just the offensive player batting over a certain average.
00:27They have none of that offensively.
00:29They have one guy with over 20 home runs.
00:31Yep.
00:32And it's Riley Greene.
00:33They have one guy with over 70 runs driven in.
00:35It's Riley Greene with 74.
00:36Yep.
00:37They have nobody hit 300 this year.
00:39Bam.
00:41Kerry Carpenter led the way with a 284 batting average.
00:45But...
00:46On paper.
00:47On paper.
00:47And then you go for who had above average OPS.
00:52Matt Vierling, Parker Meadows, Riley Greene, and Kerry Carpenter.
00:56And Kerry Carpenter was special with a 932 OPS.
00:59Yep.
00:59So, you know, that...
01:01But logic would dictate that the Tigers have to win Game 1.
01:08I kind of feel like they have to win Game 1.
01:10I think Game 1's a must win.
01:11I mean, so we're talking about Scooble here,
01:14getting the baseball in the biggest of stages, right?
01:19Postseason, Game 1, kind of have to win it.
01:23Get that first game.
01:25And yet, I swear, I throw logic out with this group.
01:29I think they have something about their makeup where they are unfazed.
01:37Completely unfazed.
01:38And you know, we hear this saying a lot in sports,
01:41and I think it might apply to this Tiger team.
01:44They truly, truly have that,
01:48honestly, just happy to be here look.
01:51Now, sometimes years, you know, when years pass, you go,
01:53well, the first time we went, we were just happy to be there.
01:56But I don't know that that doesn't work for this group.
02:00And what I mean by that is,
02:02they're kind of a house money group right now that feels no pressure.
02:06How these young kids down the stretch felt,
02:09nope, didn't seem to cave under the pressure.
02:13Because they didn't.
02:14They didn't cave at all.
02:15They took the pressure,
02:18and they either re-channeled it or whatever.
02:20Whether it was brilliance of AJ or just these guys are immune to it.
02:25I think being just happy to be there can work in your favor as well,
02:29because they're going to go out and do what they've been doing.
02:32Worry about this game, this next pitch, this next inning.
02:36And all those cliches that they keep using over and over again,
02:40so much that you're starting to believe that that's exactly some of the secret sauce.
02:44You know who led the Tigers in games played this year?
02:52Wow.
02:55Colt Keith?
02:56Colt Keith.
02:58With 148 games played.
03:00Led the Tigers in games played over Matt Verling,
03:02who would have been my guess at 144.
03:06Ryan the Green, 137.
03:09I mean, McKinstry at 118.
03:12McKinstry was the first name that popped into my head.
03:14Wenzel Perez played 112 games for the Tigers this year.
03:17It's incredible.
03:18That's more than Torkelson played.
03:20By 20.
03:2326, actually.
03:25The Tigers have just sent a release that there will be a watch party
03:30at Comerica Park tomorrow.
03:31Doors open at 1.30, first pitch 2.30.
