00:00This is the first day of the issuance of Certificates of Candidacy for those who will run in the 2020 HATOL.

00:08Among the COC candidates are the partylists and the independent candidates running for Senator.

00:34Yes ma'am, more than 30 Certificates of Candidacy were issued on the first day of the filing of the candidature

00:42for the 2025 National and Local Elections.

00:48Some of the candidates issued this afternoon are partylists and independent candidates running for Senator,

00:53such as the Kamangagawa Partylist led by a social media content creator,

00:58whose platform has been a hit due to the provincial rate and rising wages of workers.

01:03There were also some who ran for local government and now will try for the national government.

01:09Almost one of their platforms has been a hit, such as solving the problem of traffic,

01:14climate change, provincial rate, rising wages of workers, riots in the West Philippine Sea and many more.

01:20There were also some who ran for their candidature.

01:23One of them is the former AgriPartylist Representative Wilbert Lee, who is now running for Senator.

01:28His primary goal is to solve the poverty of Filipinos.

01:32We started in the Congress, we want to continue in the Senate.

01:38We know that there is a lot of work to be done there.

01:40Our goal is to provide food for every Filipino family,

01:48to have a job and to have enough income for everyone.

01:55Next is the re-electionist Senator Francis Tolentino,

01:58who promised to continue what he started in his administration even if he wins again.

02:33Their COC hired them just yesterday, but they did not speak on the ballot.

02:37According to the Commission on Elections,

02:39more than 40 partylists were removed from the list because two elections did not get votes,

02:45according to Communist Resolution No. 11071, while 18,280 voted.

02:55Maan, after the press conference led by Communist Chairman George Garcia,

03:06He also mentioned that they received a letter from Batanes that the registration was extended along with the COC filing.

03:25Maan, Comelec also confirmed the ruling of the Supreme Court

03:29that the appointed officials who will run as nominees of the partylist were also resigned.

03:34Next, a temporary restraining order was issued against Comelec's resolution just yesterday.

03:39Comelec will also make a plea for the Nuisance candidates

03:43and the NBank has assured that there will never be a reason for them not to be recognized

03:47or to lose their funds so that they will not be allowed to run in the upcoming elections.

03:53Maan, in total, there are 32 COC candidates, including 17 aspiring senators and 15 from the partylist.
