00:35The winner? A ghastly goblin masculating as the hitman Bret Hart.

00:46Tonight is Mischief Night. The sweetest treat, the intercontinental title.
00:52But the terrifying trick? Snatch it away from the first-ever four-time intercontinental champion Razor Ramon?

05:18And the smoke is just, this theatrical smoke is almost engulfing this entire arena.

05:27That's right, and as you said, McMahon, get used to it.
05:30And what would be better than Savio Vega taking Goldust down.

19:30of the British bulldog and diesel match
19:33would then meet Bret Hart at Survivor Series.
19:36Well, the British bulldog won that match,
19:38even though it was by disqualification.
19:40But now, what has Monsoon done?
19:42Changed his ruling.
19:43Milly-mouthed his words around.
19:45And now the match is diesel and Bret Hart
19:49for the title at the Survivor Series
19:51with the bulldog nowhere in the equation.
19:54Now Monsoon is saying,
19:55well, what I meant to say was
19:57the guy that was champion,
19:58not the winner of the match.
20:00And he's going back and forth.
20:01The bottom line is this.
20:03He's trying to pass the bulldog over once again.
20:05He is trying to deprive him
20:07of his constitutional rights.
20:09And he's going back on his word
20:11like some kind of cheap aluminum siding salesman.
20:14The British bulldog had diesel set up for the kill.
20:17In a matter of minutes,
20:18he was going to beat him one, two, three,
20:20and he was going to be the new champion.
20:22Okay?
20:23But Bret Hart, being the instigator that he is,
20:26he's got to stick his nose in the ring.
20:28He's got to tackle diesel.
20:29He's got to cause a disqualification.
20:31And now the British bulldog
20:34has a grudge against two people.
20:36Number one, diesel,
20:37because bulldog's the rightful champion.
20:39And he wants a chance to prove that
20:41by getting a return match with diesel.
20:43And number two, he's mad at Bret Hart
20:46because if it wasn't for Bret the Stinkin' Hitman Hart,
20:49he'd be the champion right now.
20:51So he wants Bret Hart.
20:52Yeah.

20:54Why is Mr. Mason here?
20:56Well, if you'll hold on one second,

21:00It's very simple.
21:01Since Gorilla Monsoon is not going to stand by his words,
21:05and Gorilla Monsoon is not going to live up to his promises
21:08and his commitments,
21:09I have once again had to retain the services
21:12of America's finest litigator, Mr. Clarence Mason.
21:15That's right.
21:16This man has been writing writs all day.
21:18And I've read the writs he's written.
21:20And if you've read the writs he's written,
21:21you'll know they're really well-written writs.
21:23And one way or another,
21:24he is going to force Gorilla Monsoon
21:27to live up to his commitments.
21:29And he's going to get the bulldog
21:30the chances at diesel and at Bret Hart
21:33that he wants, that he deserves,
21:35and that he's legally entitled to.

21:39And first thing I would like to say to you, Mr. Cornette,
21:41don't worry.
21:42Clarence Mason is on the case,
21:44and justice will be served.
21:46He's the best barrister since Jerry McDibbitt.
21:48When I got the call from Mr. Cornette,
21:50I came up as quickly as possible.
21:53And since I've been here,
21:55I've had an opportunity to do two things.
21:58To observe the tape of what took place
22:02at In Your House,
22:03and also to review the contract
22:06signed by the parties involved in that match.
22:10And I've come to a number of conclusions,
22:13first of which are this,
22:14that the actions of the president,
22:17the interim president
22:19of the World Wrestling Federation,
22:21Mr. Gorilla Monsoon,
22:23are both outrageous and egregious
22:26and totally unacceptable.
22:30The contract specifically stated
22:33that the winner of the match
22:36would face Bret Hart
22:38at Survivor Series.
22:39And who won the match?
22:42The British Bulldog won the match.
22:46I thought it was understood
22:48that the WWF champion would face Bret Hart,
