00:00Once upon a time, there was a magical kingdom ruled by a noble king and his loving queen.
00:07The king and queen possessed all that life had to offer, with one exception, a child.
00:13They would have given everything they owned for such a blessing, and they prayed for it every day, until finally, their prayers were answered.
00:22Our little girl.
00:24So, my queen, I think you should be the one to pick the name for our beautiful child.
00:29I already have one. I want our child to be named Snow White because of her fair and beautiful skin.
00:36And so it was decreed. The little girl was to be known from that day forth as Snow White, the fairest of them all.
00:44And with every passing season, Snow White became even more beautiful, until she had grown to become a young lady,
00:51adored by all, not only for her beauty on the outside, but for her gentle, loving manner.
00:58Even the creatures of the forest were her friends.
01:05Then one day, a terrible tragedy struck, destroying Snow White's world.
01:14Her mother, the queen, was taken by a sudden and fatal illness.
01:18Oh, mother, how am I to live now? We will miss you so very much, my love.
01:24And indeed, the good queen would be missed by the entire kingdom, even the animals.
01:30But time passed, and the king remarried.
01:32Now Snow White had a stepmother, Esmeralda, a scheming and jealous woman who could not tolerate the thought of anything or anyone
01:41getting more attention or being considered more beautiful than herself.
01:45One rumor in the kingdom even held that Esmeralda was a witch.
01:52Tell me now, here on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?
01:56Well, now, Queenie, I can't lie.
01:58After this, you'll want to die.
02:00No way!
02:01Anyway, she's number one around this place.
02:04Well, then we'll just have to get rid of Miss Snow White, then, won't we?
02:11You are to take the young girl, Snow White, far out into the deepest regions of the forest,
02:15and you are to make certain she never returns.
02:18Do I make myself clear?
02:20And so the hunter led poor Snow White deep into the forest,
02:24but he could not find it in his heart to carry out the queen's order.
02:27Your stepmother not only ordered me to bring you here, Snow White, but to take your life as well.
02:33But I cannot.
02:34Thank you.
02:35I'm sorry, but you must never return, for the queen would have your head, and mine as well.
02:41And now Snow White was all alone in the deep forest.
02:45Alone and afraid, for never in her life had she been this far from home.
02:53Now what am I to do?
02:55I've nowhere to go, and I don't know anyone here in the forest.
03:00Oh, a new house!
03:02Somebody must be living there, but they would have to be very smart.
03:05I'll just see if anyone's home.
03:07Hello? Is anyone in there?
03:11Oh, so cute, like a doll's house.
03:18Wow, and there's seven tiny beds.
03:27And so Snow White, exhausted from the day's frightful events, fell into a silent sleep.
03:33Meanwhile, the occupants of the house, seven dwarfs named Grumpy,
03:37Sleepy, Dopey, Happy, Duck, Sneezy and Bashful,
03:42were all returning from a hard day's work at the mine.
03:45Naturally, they were tired as well,
03:48and the last thing they expected to find was someone sleeping in their beds.
03:53All right, which one of you guys invited her?
03:56She's a girl.
03:57Who is she?
03:58I'm sure.
03:59Is she there?
04:00No, Dopey, she's waking up.
04:02Oh.
04:03But who are you?
04:33Kill people is not very nice.
04:35Well, don't worry yourself about it, you'll be safe right here with us.
04:38Yes, this will be your home and you'll be one of us.
04:41Thank you.
04:42Will I have to shrink?
04:44No, just the way you are, Snow White.
04:50So in the midst of the forest, Snow White had found a home,
04:54and with it, seven little people who were willing to be her friends
04:58and accept her for being just who she was.
05:02Bye-bye.
05:03Bye-bye, everybody. I'll see you.
05:08Well, I'll just clean up and make everything as nice as I can.
05:13And so Snow White cleaned and scrubbed their house,
05:16washed and dried their clothes,
05:18and even found time to bake them her very special dessert.
05:22Who'd like a piece of lemon ice cream?
05:24Well, that's lunch.
05:27Oh, this is better than it after dinner.
05:30While back at the castle,
05:31Snow White's wicked stepmother was anxious to confirm that she was,
05:35once again, the best in the land.
05:37Mirror, mirror on the wall,
05:39now who's in hell with the fairest one of all?
05:42Well, queen dear, the truth is that you still don't have the goods
05:46because Snow White was alive and well and living in the woods.
05:50That does it. I'll fix her once and for all.
05:55And so the wicked queen Esmeralda went down into her secret room
06:00in the basement of the castle
06:02and began to prepare the most deadly poisonous brew she could possibly come up with.
06:07Now I shall take one of these irresistibly delicious apples
06:11and coat it with my special brew.
06:13Whoever shall but taste of this apple will die instantly.
06:25Now I ask you, could Snow White turn down a treat as enticing as this?
06:29Certainly not.
06:31Now transformed into the wicked witch she truly was,
06:35Esmeralda visited her stepdaughter at the cottage in the sediment walls.
06:40Yes? What is it?
06:42Been meaning to pay you a visit.
06:44I'm a neighbor of yours and thought you might enjoy one of my apples, dear.
06:48Oh, my favorite treat in the whole wide world.
06:51A big beautiful apple.
06:54Ha! Ha! Ha!
07:06There!
07:08Wee-fie, boo-fum! Wee-fie, boo-fum!
07:12Wee-fie, she'll die!
07:15Now I'm finally rid of her!
07:19Oh, yeah!
07:24Ha! Ha! Ha!
07:27And so in her innocence, poor Snow White had accepted the old lady's gift.
07:32And when the dwarves returned home that evening,
07:35they found her lying on the ground as though in deep eternal sleep.
07:39Heartbroken, they refused to believe she would not one day awaken.
07:44They constructed a special bed for Snow White and enclosed it with glass.
07:48And along with the creatures of the forest,
07:51the dwarves kept a constant vigil over the beautiful young princess.
07:55Until one day, as if by fate,
07:57a very special visitor chanced to come upon this strange gathering.
08:02A rider's coming.
08:04It appears to be some kind of royalty, then.
08:07Indeed, it was the prince of the neighboring kingdom.
08:10Greetings, little man. Is something wrong?
08:13Your Majesty, someone has cast a horrible spell on our friend Snow White.
08:17Perhaps you could help him break that spell?
08:20If only I had that power before my eyes, it never may help such ugliness.
08:24Oh, please, your Highness. Perhaps if you were to speak to her, she might respond.
08:28Would you try?
08:30I promise that if some miracle brought back her life,
08:32I'd swear to her my love and ask her to be my princess.
08:38What was that?
08:39It was a piece of fruit that had been lodged in her throat.
08:43Look, she's stirring.
08:47I think she's coming back to life.
08:59As you slept, I swore my love to you
09:01and would now ask if you would take my hand in marriage.
09:07My queen.
09:08My king.
09:09Bye-bye.
09:12Good luck to all of you and thank you for everything.
09:15I shall never forget your kindness.
09:17I promise to visit you often.
09:19Take care.
09:20Bye-bye.
09:23And so the handsome young prince returned to his castle with Snow White, his bride-to-be,
09:28and there, once more, vowed his love to the beautiful princess.
09:33Meanwhile, back at the castle of the evil Queen Esmeralda.
09:37Now perhaps you will answer in a manner to which I am far more accustomed.
09:42Try and tell me now, Mirror on the Wall.
09:44I'm not the fairest one of all.
09:46Well, Queenie girl, I'll tell you straight.
09:48At best, you never look too great.
09:50And furthermore, if you insist, you wouldn't make the ugliest.
09:53Snow White is fairer now than ever.
09:55You're as fair as you are clever.
09:59You think fun of me?
10:01I can't stand them!
10:04Now you'll be Esmeralda's vengeance.
10:10Now it gets the better of me!
10:14Suddenly, a violent electrical storm unleashed itself
10:17as the evil witch from the castle determined to finish Snow White once and for all.
10:30But instead, the storm put an end to Esmeralda.
10:33Her sword, acting as a lightning rod, threw a great bolt of electricity
10:38which razzled her into a pile of dust
10:41and lured her away into the far reaches of the kingdom
10:44until there was nothing left of Snow White's evil stepmother.
10:48The news of the witch's death soon spread to the neighbouring kingdom.
11:02Thank you.
11:04The very next day, the handsome prince and the beautiful Snow White became one and the same.
11:09The entire kingdom rejoiced with their new happiness.
11:13Soon after, the prince was crowned king and Snow White his queen
11:19and the two of them lived happily ever after.
