00:00We love to recap what happened in a monster event there in the President's Cup.
00:06The final score, Team USA 18.5, the international team 11.5.
00:11And by the way, it started out and looked like it was going to be a runaway.
00:14Then the international team stepped up to the plate, but the team from the United States
00:18was better here.
00:19Talk about the week that was and also how impressive that win was for the United States.
00:23Well, I'll tell you what, our core four for the United States, and we're talking about
00:28Patrick, Colin, Xander, and Scotty, they almost won the event on their own.
00:33You add up their points that they earned this week, it was 15 and you only needed 15.5.
00:38That bodes well for future cup matches against whether it's the Ryder Cup or the President's
00:43Cup.
00:44The week overall, I would say was a success up there.
00:47The international team, it's a struggle because they are a global franchise and they've only
00:52spent about the last 10 years under that shield that they created, the black and gold.
00:58Building that culture and it's coming along.
01:00The guys are buying in and they'll be getting closer and closer.
01:03But you're talking about trying to build a team around a South Korean and a South African
01:07or an Australian and a Canadian.
01:10This isn't like Europe that's had the Ryder Cup going on for 100 years.
01:14And if you look back, the first 25 Ryder Cups, the US won 22 times.
01:19So I know it's been a landslide in the President's Cup, but Canada turned out for Friday, Saturday,
01:25and Sunday.
01:26They did their best from a fan's perspective.
01:28I think overall, the event was a success.
01:30But I'll tell you what, when 10 of your 12 players are in the top 20 of the official
01:35world golf rankings, the US is strong right now and they're tough to beat.
01:39I love the way they look going into Bethpage next year for the Ryder Cup.
