00:00The target of the Department of Agriculture is to add 169 sites for the sale of 29 pesos per kilo of rice.
00:10The DA also added that they intend to sell their cheap rice again as a result of the contract growing program.
00:18Clazel Pardilla is in the center of the news.
00:22The Department of Agriculture is also expanding the Rise for All and P29 program that provides affordable rice prices.
00:32Based on the survey conducted by Publicos Asia last September,
00:36the Rise for All program is considered the most approved government initiative of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:4482% of the respondents supported the program.
00:49And according to President Marcos Jr.'s goal,
00:52there will be enough food for the Filipinos.
00:57Under the program, the poorest Filipino will be able to buy 29 pesos of rice.
01:05There will be 45 pesos of rice for all sectors in 20 stores in the country, including Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Central Luzon.
01:16We will continue to promote P29 and Rise for All.
01:21The target of the Secretary is 169 additional sites nationwide.
01:27This is gradually increasing.
01:30Hopefully, in the next coming days, this will be fixed.
01:35The DA assures that the rice supply for the P29 program remains sufficient.
01:42The P29 program is good because the NFA is able to buy rice.
01:49And because they increased their selling price,
01:52they are able to get additional funds so that they can buy more rice.
01:58This program for P29 will continue.
02:02In Rise for All, we have a lot of partners and stakeholders who want to join Rise for All.
02:11Meanwhile, the National Irrigation Administration is able to sell 1,000 sacks of cheap rice.
02:19P29 per kilo or P290 per sack for 10 kilos of rice will arrive on Friday, October 4.
02:28The rice came from the contract growing program of NIA.
02:32The sale will start at 8 a.m. at NIA's Central Office Covered Courtyard in Diliman, Quezon City.
02:39The idea was brought by senior citizens, solo parents, couples, and four kids.
