00:00In 2020, the eyes of the former PCSO board secretary Wesley Barayuga pointed to the murder of the retired general.

00:10They waited for the right time for the safety of the whistleblower and his family.

00:16Jun Veneracion was on the scene.

00:18Two months after the death of the former PCSO board secretary and retired general Wesley Barayuga in July 2020,

00:29his classmates had an idea.

00:32From the Philippine Military Academy, Matikas Class of 1983,

00:36to who are the criminals.

00:38Our classmates who are in government positions,

00:44they formed a core group to work on it silently,

00:50to gather witnesses and evidences,

00:54of course, for the resolution of the case and to seek justice for our classmates.

00:59Earlier in October 2020, they were holding and protecting the main witnesses of the crime,

01:05which are Police Lieutenant Colonel Santi Mendoza and Nelson Mariano.

01:10He's afraid of his life and his family that if he speaks out, he will be back.

01:18He said he will tell everything at an opportune time.

01:25They think it's the right time.

01:27The administration came to replace him,

01:29especially when the House Quad Committee investigated the extrajudicial killings of the Duterte administration.

01:35That's when Barayuga's friends found out that Mendoza was kidnapped.

01:41In the Quadcom hearing, Mendoza pointed to the former PCSO general manager Ruina Garma

01:47and Napolcom Commissioner Edelberto Leonardo,

01:50who ordered him to plan the killing of Barayuga.

01:55It's been four years since his assassination.

01:59Finally, there's a light to put an end to the case.

02:05Was the case resolved?

02:07It's possible that Mendoza's career will be sacrificed to the police,

02:11according to the Internal Affairs Service of the PNP.
