The evening is mostly clear but there are spells of rain in Northern Ireland, Wales and southwest England. The rain moves north and east across the country, but in northeast Scotland it will remain clear and it might be possible to see the Northern lights there. The morning will be cloudy for most, with persistent rain in the west while generally remaining dry in the east.

00:00Hello. After a largely fine day on Saturday, it is going to be turning increasingly cloudy
00:05with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. But through this evening, we've still got some clear skies,
00:10especially towards the north and east. Further towards the west, some heavy spells of rain,
00:15especially towards the southwest to start the night. The rain will gradually push its way north
00:20and eastwards, turning a little bit lighter and more patchier as the night goes on.
00:26But further towards the east, where we do see some clear skies, especially towards the north,
00:31you may want to look out the window as you may catch a glimpse of the northern lights.
00:35But we do have a breeze coming up from the south, so temperatures are generally going to stay
00:40around 10 or 12 degrees to start Sunday morning. But it is quite a murky start out there. A lot of
00:47cloud, outbreaks of rain, the best of the sunshine. First thing is going to be across East Anglia,
00:52but it won't last too long. Cloud will increase and give a pretty gloomy end to the weekend with
00:59outbreaks of rain and drizzle for many. Further towards the west, we also have a band of heavy
01:04thundery rain across parts of Northern Ireland into Wales and towards the southwest of England.
01:12Temperatures are going to be ranging up to around 14 or 15 degrees in the north,
01:16but further towards the south, we'll see highs up to 17 or 18 degrees. So similar to Saturday,
01:24but obviously a bit of a different feel with the heavy outbreaks of rain and cloud around.
01:30So as we go through Sunday evening, that cloud and rain is going to continue to push into parts
01:35of the Midlands, then into northeastern England and more so into Scotland through the overnight
01:40period. Behind that, clearer skies developing, but we'll also start seeing some showers moving
01:47through. So under the clear skies, we may see some murky conditions developing. Temperatures
01:52could fall, but underneath the cloud holding up at around 11 degrees. So to start Monday morning,
01:59a damp start across northern parts of Scotland with rain continuing to push northwards. Any low
02:05cloud should gradually lift and break. And then as we go through Monday afternoon, it is a case
02:10of sunny spells, but some frequent showers that could be heavy, possibly thundery and perhaps
02:16merging into some longer spells of rain for some of us. Temperatures still holding up though around
02:2216 or 17 degrees, possibly 18 in the best of the sunshine towards the far southeast. And as we go
02:31through Tuesday, it is a case of sunny spells, scattered showers. We could see some disruptive
02:36weather towards the south before turning cooler into next weekend. But to stay tuned to all of
