00:00Good news for the Filipino football fans.
00:03The Philippine Football Federation has set up
00:06tournaments for our national teams
00:09before the end of 2024.
00:11Some of their games will be held here in the Philippines.
00:16Natalia Saulati-Dariel Oclares.
00:20Even though it's the last quarter of 2024,
00:23there's still a lot of action for Philippine football.
00:27This is confirmed by the Philippine Football Federation
00:31since they held a press conference
00:33last Friday in Lungsud, Makati.
00:36Our men's team,
00:37under their new head coach,
00:40Albert Capillas,
00:42will play in the King's Cup
00:43from October 11 to 14 in Thailand.
00:47The women's squad of head coach Mark Torcaso
00:50will play in the Pink Lady's Cup
00:53from October 26 to 30 in Antalya, Turkey.
00:57Aside from these tournaments,
00:59our national team will also play
01:02here in the Philippines.
01:06We've got so much football
01:08that I hope it becomes a trend in the following years
01:12that the Filipinos get to look forward to something
01:16or to a season where they can watch football
01:20on any given night.
01:22We're going to have friendlies in the country
01:25like Jim mentioned for the men's and women's side.
01:28That should bring these teams closer
01:32to the Filipino fans.
01:34This is also the direction that PFF Director of Senior National Teams,
01:39Freddy Gonzales, is aiming for.
01:41Their target is to bring the Filipino fans
01:44closer to our national football teams.
01:47There's going to be at least six games
01:50that our local fans can,
01:53you know, be able to watch.
01:55So that's really exciting.
01:56That's what's keeping us really busy right now.
01:58So it's preparing for all of that.
02:00The Philippines is expected to play again
02:03on November 29 and December 6
02:05for two friendly games here
02:07at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
02:10Daryl Loclares for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
