00:00The Philippine Amateur Baseball Association announced that they are preparing to host the 14th East Asia Baseball Cup in Pampanga.

00:11This is Bernadette Inoy's report.

00:15The Philippine Amateur Baseball Association of PABA assured that the country's Cuponan campaign will be successful

00:22in the upcoming 14th East Asia Cup that will be held this October 29 until November 4 in Clark, Pampanga.

00:29According to PABA President Kito Loizaga, the tournament will be successful because the country also hosted the International Baseball Event in the 90s.

00:38Aside from the national team, the country will also host a number of international tournaments in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.

00:59With the hope that maybe in the future, once perhaps renovations are made here in the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium,

01:06we might be able to host more international standards.

01:11Loizaga also added that the Philippine team is already preparing for the East Asia Cup.

01:17He also said that the team will also serve as qualifiers to advance to the Asian Championships.

01:23We are quite confident that we will be there, particularly and perhaps I can make in the finals, I'm sure we will be there.

01:31And baseball also has a ball, so it depends on the run of the ball, right?

01:37But definitely we'll prepare because this is something that we're proud of.
