00:00Philippine National Police or PNP Chief Police General Romel Marbil ordered all PNP personnel
00:07to strictly monitor the movement of armed groups while the filing of Certificates of
00:11Candidacy or COC continues.
00:15The PNP explained these groups might be used by corrupt politicians against their rivals
00:21in the midterm polls.
00:22He added as the elections near, the tension and heated debates between rivals may intensify
00:29and thus the need for police on the ground to be vigilant.
00:33The National Police Chief has ordered the ramping up of police visibility, setting up
00:39of more checkpoints, and the strengthening of intelligence monitoring in various areas.
00:46The implementation of our strategic checkpoints, particularly in areas where previously we
00:55have monitored intense political rivalries, because this would somehow dissuade whoever
01:01plans to create chaos in those areas.
