00:08way possible to find out which one you should buy.
00:12As always we're going to start by talking about the exterior design, a section that
00:16is clearly very subjective, it is a matter of personal taste, but there are a couple
00:22things that I can say about each of these two phones designs.
00:25As you can see the A53 is slightly older looking, it has the old design from the old
00:32Samsung phones like the S20 or the S21, and the A54 has a more simplified, minimalistic
00:39look that's very similar to the newer top tier Samsung phones that just came out.
00:44And even more interesting, the A54 for the first time in this lineup of A phones has
00:51a glass back instead of a plastic back, which makes it feel a 100,000 times better when
00:57you have it in your hands, it feels a lot more premium, a lot more higher end, it feels
01:02like it's better built, and of course this is something we don't get on the A53 which
01:07is entirely built out of plastic, both on the sides and on the back.
01:11But anyways, let's move on to the processor, the Galaxy A53 comes with the Exynos 1280,
01:17a mid-range processor that will give you everything you need for a very pleasant phone
01:22using experience, including the most demanding games.
01:26And the A54 comes with the Exynos 1380 processor, which is exactly the same mid-range processor
01:33as on the A53, but a little bit faster and a little bit more efficient because it's a
01:38newer generation.
01:40Right now in 2023, they both are practically identical, if you compare them side by side
01:45you won't see any differences or you won't at least notice those differences, but because
01:50the A54 is a little bit more powerful and a little bit more optimized, in 1, 2, 3 years
01:56when apps become more demanding and games become more demanding, you will start noticing
02:02those differences because the A54 will have enough power to sustain those activities and
02:07maybe the A53 won't, and that's when you'll start seeing the A54 win over the A53 in a
02:14couple years.
02:15And we move on to the battery, a very interesting point where I have very good things to say,
02:21but first, even more interesting than the battery life, I have to tell you that both
02:26of these phones, the A53 and the A54 have very good prices right now on Amazon.

02:45They both will give you a beastly performance, easily exceeding 10 hours of total use, and
02:51well, although it is barely noticeable because the two phones are very similar, the A54 has
02:57a little bit better battery, around 5% more to be precise.
03:01But one of the best components on these two phones is definitely the display, although,
03:06well, there aren't many differences between them either.
03:09They both have 120 hertz OLED screens, they both have very good colors, and the only small
03:15differences are that the A54 is a little bit smaller at 6.4 inches instead of 6.5, but
03:22it's also a little bit brighter with 1,000 nits instead of 800 on the A53.
03:27In practical terms, you won't notice either of these differences, 0.1 extra inches is
03:32not noticeable for the average person, even if you have them side by side, and the difference
03:37between 800 and 1,000 nits of brightness is also very, very small, although I would
03:42appreciate it, because sometimes if you're directly facing the sun, any extra brightness
03:48is appreciated, and maybe the difference between not being able to read what's on the phone
03:53and barely being able to read, which is something, you know?
03:57So even though it's very little, I would appreciate that extra brightness on the A54.
04:02And finally, we move on to the most important part of this comparison, the cameras.

07:34And probably, you watching this video have not noticed any differences in the main camera
07:39either because as I said, they're so, so small.
07:41And well, as I said, selfie cameras are also identical.
07:44I've not noticed any differences.
07:45They have the same sensors.
07:47So yeah, the A54 has a better camera unit because it has a better main sensor, but the
07:52differences are not huge and they're only visible on the main sensor.
07:57So yeah, summarizing, the A54 is a better phone.
08:02It has a better design, a better processor, a better battery life, and a better display,
08:07and a better main camera.
08:09But it's also fair to say that it is a hundred bucks more expensive.
08:13So they kind of even themselves out.
08:15I don't really know which one is best for you because I think it all depends on your
08:19budget.
08:20If you don't have enough money to buy the A54, the A53 is an amazing option.
08:24But if you do have money for the A54, as you've seen, it is better in every single category.
08:28So I would recommend you get the A54.
