A total of 625 victims have been rescued throughout the operation and investigation on Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB).

At a press conference at the Police Training Centre (Pulapol) on Thursday (Oct 10), Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said 553 victims have been placed in 13 shelter homes under the Welfare Department, while 72 others have been handed over to their respective families.

Asked about GISB members seeking custody of their children, Comm Mohd Shuhaily said the Welfare Department has strict standard operating procedures (SOP) in dealing with such matters.
