00:00So, what is the dream Weaver saying about his performance?
00:05Yes, like I was saying before the break, you need some unsung heroes, guys, maybe you didn't expect.
00:10Luke Weaver is becoming one of those for the Yankees, a five-out save last night.
00:15I usually criticize Boone, I thought it was smart.
00:18He brought him in with wit, Pasquantino and Salvi Perez coming up, the heart of the Royal Order.
00:24That's when you want your best coming in. Here's Weaver.
00:26I think the biggest thing, and I don't know if it helps me, I feel like it does, that's not the way I view myself.
00:33I don't think I'm a closer. I think I'm a guy who is doing that situation,
00:39but I feel like at any point can be put in a situation to try to get some out somewhere else.
00:45And I know it's kind of silly, like, you know, I've had a few saves now here and then at the back end of the year,
00:51but I think I'm just a man on a mission, like I'm determined, I'm focused.
00:56And I think that even keeled mindset keeps me calm out there because it's a pretty big situation.
01:02I mean, I've watched a lot of this stuff on TV for a while.
01:05I haven't been any, I have no postseason experience.
01:08So this is all first time for me, new stuff.
01:11It doesn't feel any different because I'm trying not to let it be different.
01:15I'm trying not to let the big moment first and third opposing ballpark in the ninth inning change me.
01:22Well, fair enough, kid. I mean, fair enough.
01:25I'd say he's doing a pretty good job right now of doing all of that because he has been outstanding.
01:32Don't change a thing because they need someone to finish out that game.
01:36And the Yankees, by the way, I think I saw the stat today, 13 innings pitch so far here in this series
01:42against the Royals from the bullpen, only one run allowed in those 13 innings pitch by the Yankee bullpen.
01:48So they have been excellent here and they will need to be maybe again tonight.
01:52Or will the Yankees get a big performance from their big horse?
01:57Garrett Cole gets the ball and man, he needs to make up for a very, very poor outing in game number one at Yankee Stadium.
02:05Here is Aaron Boone, always happy to give the ball to Cole.
02:09What's the feeling having Garrett now going for the chance?
02:12Yeah, I mean, you know, obviously, you know, this was a big one to get and excited to give Garrett the ball.
02:18And hopefully he can go out and and and get us off to a good start tomorrow night.
02:23So we always love handing the ball to our ace.
02:27So but, you know, these these games have been obviously really, really tough.
02:32And that team's playing really well over there.
02:36And but but we always feel good when we give the ball to Garrett.
02:40So I think that for my money, the first game was after they had a week off.
02:45And he's out there long tossing and throwing a couple, you know, simulated innings in a in a bullpen setting.
02:55Getting ready for the series is a lot different than, you know, because he went out and got lit up.
03:02And so did they. I mean, they didn't know what hit him in that game one.
03:05They got lucky that they won at six five. Right.
03:08So now I think it's a different scenario altogether.
03:12They're playing every day. They're playing games, you know, that matter every day now.
03:16And he's getting the ball today. I think he'll do better than he did in game one because it's just the next game.
03:23It's the closeout game. They need him to step up big.
03:26I think they played poorly as a team, as a whole.
03:29And I thought he was a part of the problem in game one.
03:32They weren't ready for the Royals. The Royals were already playing baseball.
03:36And every team we've already said this.
03:38Every team that was playing did better than teams that were lying in the weeds.
03:43They certainly have. So Cole will look to shut it down tonight and Walker will go for the Royals.
03:49Now, Walker, I said earlier, he wasn't great.
03:52I mean, the Yankees scored a couple of runs off him.
03:54He only went four innings in that game one, and the Yankees scored three off of him.
03:58So they can get to Walker here. Cole, of course, went five.
04:01He gave up a bunch of runs, too.
04:03That game was really decided with all those walks late in the game for the Yanks.
04:08As far as tonight's numbers, minus 155 for the Bombers, plus a buck 30 for Walker and the Royals.
04:16Seven and a half is the total.
04:20I mean, that is just an awful, juicy number for him.
04:26I mean, that's very scary to me, but it is what it is.
04:30You know, I got a bet on him. I got a bet on the Yankees.
04:33They got to finish him off tonight. Don't F around with them.
04:37It's right in front of you. Just go get it done.
04:39Like, honestly, like this is, you know, you got three of these teams you got to possibly face.
04:45One of them's right in front of you tonight. Boom. Get rid of them.
04:48And then you got to face the winner. And then, boom, you get rid of them.
04:51And then you're in the World Series.
04:53We've already said, you put it best, the red carpet special right through the World Series.
04:58This is, you know, not the Astros, who they would have lost to.
05:02You know, they would have found a way to lose to the Astros. They always do.
05:05And it wasn't the Orioles, who seemed to give them fits, too.
05:08So they went out like, you know, little sissies, again, whimpering in the night, the Orioles.
05:15And the Astros finally got beat by the Tigers.
05:18So just go out and do it. Get it done. Get it done tonight.
05:22I thought Stan put it best. We got to win.
05:25Like, stop F-ing around. Win the game.
05:28Like, last night, you just took it right from them.
05:30It was 2-0, then it was 2-2, and then you took it from them.
05:33Do the same thing tonight. Just go in there and take it.
05:38I am expecting a big performance from their big pitcher.
05:43And I think that they are going to get it.
05:45I would even, I'll even leave it a little dangerously tonight.
05:49I'd even lay the run line with the Yankees tonight against WACA.
05:53I'll even do that in this spot.
05:55I think that they have got to do the tough part.
06:00Plus 1-10 for the Yankees, minus a run and a half.
06:03Plus 1-10 minus a run and a half.
06:05I'm going to take the Yankees, run line them.
06:08And look, they've got some guys against WACA.
06:12They've been okay.
06:14You know, really, Stanton actually,
06:16Stanton's got a homer off of WACA in his career.
06:18Torres, of course, homered in that game number one off of him.
06:22How about Jazz tonight?
06:24That's where I'm going to go deep.
06:26This guy, Jazz, of course, he had the whole thing with being lucky.
06:29He got booed. He loved every second of it.
06:31But he didn't do anything last night.
06:33I think tonight, you get a big hit from Jazz.
06:36And, man, they better hope they get something.
06:38Can you imagine if they get through this series getting nothing from Judge?
06:41I would find that very hard to believe.
06:43They're going to need something from Judge.
06:45Pull out of it like Betts did and smack one out to that fountain.
