00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Marco Bertagno. We're
00:04starting Sunday on a pretty chilly note across the UK, with some frost in places, particularly
00:07across the north of the UK. And here we'll see some showers as we go through the day
00:11on Sunday, particularly across the north-east. Here we'll see one or two wintry showers,
00:14particularly across the higher ground, at least for a time, and quite a brisk north-westerly
00:18wind also blowing across the north-east before it starts to ease as those showers will all
00:22go through into the afternoon. Elsewhere, after that cold start, plenty of sunshine
00:26around, but out towards the west, clouds starting to increase and by the end of the
00:29day we'll start to see some outbreaks of rain reaching Northern Ireland and the south-west
00:33of Scotland. A bit of a southerly breeze also developing as that rain arrives later. Temperatures
00:38will be pretty chilly for the time of year after that cold start, reaching highs of no
00:41better than 8 or 9 degrees in the north, up to 12 at best towards the south, possibly
00:4513 or 14 across the far south-west. 14 there in Plymouth is 57 in Fahrenheit. As we go
00:51through the evening into the overnight period, those outbreaks of rain in the west will start
00:55to make inroads across other western areas, also pushing east into parts of England and
00:59Wales into the early hours of Monday. Notice some of that rain across the south-west here
01:03and across parts of Wales turning quite heavy by Monday morning. We'll hold on to the best
01:07of any clear weather then towards the east and north-east and although there will be
01:10some clear spells around, it will stay generally frost-free. Temperatures in rural areas down
01:14into low single figures and starting to pick up out towards the west and south-west as
01:19that rain starts to move in. As for Monday itself, we'll have pretty unsettled days expected
01:23across England and Wales, some quite heavy bursts of rain in the morning, gradually starting
01:26to ease from the west into the afternoon. We could start to see some brightening skies
01:30developing into the afternoon but generally the best of the weather will be up across
01:33the north and north-west. Some showers, yes, to start the day across the north-west there
01:37but they will ease into the afternoon and as I say, many northern areas certainly seeing
01:40plenty of sunshine into the afternoon. Temperatures not doing too badly, certainly on the rise
01:45up towards the north up to 12 or 13 Celsius, possibly peaking at 17 or 18 down towards
01:50the south-east. That's much warmer than we've seen in recent days. 18 in London is 64 in
01:55Fahrenheit. That's pretty much it for me but of course you can keep tuned to the Red Office
01:59forecast by following us on social media and by subscribing to our YouTube channel. I'll
02:04see you soon, take care, bye bye.
