28 September - National weather forecast presented by Craig Snell
Transcript
00:00Hello there and welcome to your weather forecast on the Metrepolis. As we go through the next
00:04few days it remains fairly changeable across the country. Showers to contend with as we
00:08go through Wednesday and Thursday before a spell of wet and windy weather moves in on
00:12Friday. Back to the here and now, we've got an area of rain across Devon and Cornwall
00:16as we go through the course of the night. Elsewhere, daytime showers generally fading
00:20away across inland areas but remaining fairly showery across coastal areas of Northern Ireland,
00:25Scotland, down the eastern seaboard of England and into Wales. Under the clearest skies
00:30across Western Scotland down into North Western England and the Midlands, temperatures here
00:35could fall down to low single figures. But here, tomorrow morning, we'll start off on
00:40a fairly sunny and dry note where elsewhere we'll see showers from the word go and these
00:46will become fairly widespread across the country as we go through the course of the day. But
00:50hopefully for Devon and Cornwall after a fairly grey and damp afternoon on Tuesday, it will
00:55be a little bit brighter in between the showers across that part of the world. Later on in
01:01the afternoon, we will see this area of rain just creeping into South Eastern Scotland
01:06and North Eastern England giving a wet end to the day here. But for all of us, it should
01:10feel a little bit less chilly thanks to a slightly lighter northerly wind. So that area
01:16of rain will then sink its way southwards across much of the UK as the night goes on.
01:21Some heavy bursts in it, probably remaining driest across Western Northern Ireland but
01:27for most, a slightly less chilly night than of late but still a few spots probably falling
01:33into mid single figures. So Thursday starts off fairly damp across the south of the country
01:40but that will quickly clear towards France and that will leave us with another day of
01:44sunny spells and showers. But the showers should be a bit more fewer and further between
01:49compared to Wednesday. So hopefully a little bit more way of sunshine for most of us and
01:54temperatures a little bit warmer again with most of us seeing highs of reaching around
01:5915 to possibly 17 degrees in the south.
02:04Then having a quick look at Friday, after this slightly brief drier and brighter spell
02:09on Thursday, another spell of wet and windy weather moves in from the Atlantic, especially
02:13in the west giving a thoroughly soggy day for some of us. That clears through during
02:17Saturday but further frontal systems on their way so a fairly changeable start to the weekend
02:23for most of us. If you want more information about the weather for the next few days where
02:26you are, you can always check us out on our website or follow us on our various social
02:31media channels. But that's all from me for now.
