00:00Hello there. After a record-breaking season, we are ending metrological summer on a rather
00:06quiet but warm note, with high pressure dominating over the next few days. That's not to say
00:11we've got some rain in the mix. Currently, we have some rain across parts of Northern
00:14Ireland and North West Scotland, and that rain mostly light and patchy in nature, and
00:20during the course of Sunday afternoon, that rain continuing to move northwards. Elsewhere,
00:26it's largely dry, with some sunny spells, although we have got hazier skies across
00:31the far south of the country compared to Saturday. Temperatures during the course of Sunday afternoon
00:37generally around average across the north, although feeling pleasantly warm in the south,
00:42especially in those sunnier spells. Now that dry and fine theme continues overnight for
00:48the bulk of England and Wales, although we do have some outbreaks of rain arriving across
00:52some northern areas later in the night. Overnight temperatures remaining comfortably in double
00:58figures right the way across the board, with winds mostly light, although those winds a
01:02little bit stronger through the English Channel. So it's a fine and dry start to Monday morning,
01:09although we are looking at cloudier skies arriving from the North Sea over some eastern
01:14areas, and those cloudier skies will have an impact on temperatures, with temperatures
01:18down a little across some eastern areas during the course of Monday. Now remaining generally
01:24fine and settled, with high pressure continuing to dominate the picture as we move through
01:30the new week. That high pressure though is rather weak in nature, so we do have some
01:34cloud in the mix, and a chance of some showers here and there, and perhaps turning a little
01:40less settled, more unsettled maybe, from Friday, with some rain arriving for many of us. Thank
01:46you for listening, and please stay tuned to our social media channels for the latest
01:50updates. Bye for now.
