00:00Hello there. Welcome to your weather update from the Met Office.
00:04Over the next few days, apart from a few showers, most places will be dry and warm.
00:09However, into the weekend, it warms up further across more southern and eastern areas,
00:13whereas towards the north and the west, fresher, some outbreaks of rain.
00:17Now, through Wednesday evening, pleasant for most, but you can see a zone of cloud
00:21across the Midlands, Northern England, North Wales,
00:24bringing with it a few showers as they move northwards.
00:27Also, through the early hours of the morning, we could see some showery bursts of rain
00:30clipping the eastern side of Northern Ireland,
00:32as this rain and cloud migrates towards southern parts of Scotland.
00:36Any showers across the far north of Scotland will die out, and in fact,
00:39overnight, many areas dry with some mist and fog patches.
00:42Not as cool as the night before, certainly a milder start to the day come Thursday morning,
00:47and bright for most, as well as dry.
00:49However, let's pick up on this showery rain across Northern England, southern Scotland,
00:55sporadic in nature, but some showers developing through the afternoon.
00:58They'll be slow moving and could even turn out to be heavy.
01:01Elsewhere, a few showers are likely, most places dry, and we'll see a mix of cloud as well as sun,
01:07so a fine afternoon, a bright one, with some sunshine coming through,
01:11allowing temperatures to rise very nicely, feeling warm in that sunshine,
01:15a pleasant afternoon for Shetland as well as Orkney.
01:18Temperatures further south, 20, 22 degrees Celsius, 24 for southern parts of Wales,
01:2225 for London and the home counties.
01:25So that's the picture on Thursday. Here's your cities list for Friday.
01:30Again, most places will be dry, a small chance of a shower, some fine conditions coming through,
01:36some warm sunshine as temperatures rise even further,
01:39so the low 20s to the mid to high 20s towards the southeast.
01:42Now, into the weekend, that's Friday evening, we see a batch of rain just sweep across more northern areas,
01:49but before that, temperatures rising, as you can see here, very high in the southeast,
01:53and we hang on to some drier weather through Saturday here.
01:56Showers to follow as that rain clears on Saturday further north and west,
02:00and then another batch of wet weather skirts Ireland, clipping central and southern areas of Scotland,
02:05moving in across Wales as well as the Midlands, northern England,
02:08a few showers further south, and a few showers likely with some sunshine across the far north of Scotland.
02:13Now, this band here could actually reach the far southeast with one or two showers,
02:17but generally speaking, drier conditions here and always the highest temperatures.
02:21Bye-bye.
