00:00Hello there. Rain pushes erratically eastwards across the western half of the UK over the
00:07next 24 hours. What that means, brighter skies always further east after a bit of a murky
00:12start on Friday morning. Let's go back to Thursday evening. It's pleasant for most
00:18with some lovely sunshine to end the day. But notice across western Scotland and Northern
00:22Ireland, this weather front here brings with it outbreaks of rain, more cloud, low cloud
00:27at that, and a strengthening wind, so some wet conditions to end the night. Elsewhere,
00:33the winds remain fairly light through the early hours of Friday morning, and where you
00:37see some starry skies, the chance of some mist and fog patches, which will lift around
00:42mid-morning on Friday. So temperatures holding up overnight, particularly towards the north
00:47and the west, 14 or 15, particularly with that keen breeze, a lot of cloud, outbreaks
00:51of rain, dipping down to possibly around 10 or 11 across mid-Wales up towards northern
00:57England. First thing then on Friday morning, wet across western parts of Scotland and Northern
01:02Ireland, see some low cloud further east, but one or two brighter spots coming through,
01:07and some brighter weather once that fog lifts across much of England and Wales, although
01:11a legacy of cloud comes and goes across eastern counties, but even here, we will see that
01:16cloud break up through Friday. So the rain across the west will be slow moving through
01:22Friday. It will introduce more cloud to the west country as well as west Wales, and for
01:27Grampians, some patchy rain comes and goes, but always the most persistent burst will
01:32be northern Ireland and western Scotland. The northern isles seeing a bright day, although
01:36quite a keen breeze here, and some brighter weather arriving across eastern Scotland through
01:41the afternoon. Elsewhere, you can see fine and mostly dry, some warm, brighter weather,
01:47and that will help temperatures through the afternoon to around 20 to 22 degrees Celsius,
01:52lower towards the west, where again, through Friday evening, that rain will persist, so
01:57some high rainfall totals for western Scotland into Saturday morning. But the rain eventually
02:02will clear these parts. On Saturday, the chance of some showers further south, some heavy
02:07showers of that towards the southwest. The cloud comes and goes through the day, but
02:11on Sunday, always the chance of showers pretty much anywhere across the country. I'll see
02:16you later. Bye bye.
