00:00Hello there welcome to a weather update from the Met Office. Through the next few
00:04nights slightly fresher, certainly more comfortable to sleep and it could be a
00:08rather cool start to the day across eastern counties of Scotland on Thursday
00:12morning. Before that though let's backtrack to Wednesday evening, some
00:16lovely sunshine to end the day. A bit of a breeze down towards the East Anglia
00:20coast, lighter breezes inland, cloud may roll in across eastern counties through
00:25the night so some low cloud here and some hard just bothering the
00:29northwestern coastline of Scotland. Look at these temperatures a notch down on
00:33the last few nights, certainly less muggy towards the west and quite a cool
00:38filled things as we head into Thursday morning across the eastern side of
00:42Scotland. But Thursday will dawn bright with some sunshine, any cloud will burn
00:46away, this hard just comes and goes along the northwestern coastline of Scotland.
00:51Elsewhere it's a fine day, one or two isolated showers can't be ruled out
00:56through the afternoon, eastern counties could see one, the western side of Wales
01:00also. There is a cluster further west across the Republic of Ireland. Before
01:05that though temperatures will reach 26 to 29 degrees Celsius inland, pleasantly
01:11warm along the east coast and temperatures across Northern Ireland
01:14peaking at the mid-20s. Let's pick up on the distribution of those
01:18thunderstorms across the Republic of Ireland then on Thursday. They're
01:22migrating northwards as they develop in situ and they could clip the western
01:26side of Northern Ireland through the afternoon. One or two quite heavy bursts
01:29associated with these, obviously a thunder, lightning and even some gusty
01:34winds associated with this cluster as they move towards Donegal. So through
01:40Thursday evening yet again for most of the country it's dry away from this
01:44portion of Northern Ireland and overnight the cloud returns to the
01:48northwest of Scotland and we could see some patchy clouds elsewhere across
01:52England and Wales on the coastline as well. Temperatures yet again will dip
01:57down to possibly single figures across central and eastern areas of Scotland
02:01elsewhere, holding in double figures but it does lead into a bright start to the
02:05day come Friday. Subtle changes in our weather through Friday, a higher risk of
02:10seeing thunderstorms across Northern Ireland through the afternoon and we'll
02:14see some showers crop up across Northern England, Wales, southern parts of Scotland
02:18as temperatures yet again are right around the mid to high 20s. So that's
02:22your weather for the next few days. I'll see you later.
