00:00Meanwhile, the Department of Education Secretary, Sonny Angara, attended the launch meeting of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.

00:08The ECCP President, Paulo Duarte, was the first to start the program.

00:13There was an open forum where Secretary Angara and officials from the private sector who are related to education and job placement were present.

00:23Some programs and solidarity in education in the Philippines were discussed in the forum.

00:29Some of the topics were the decongestion of subjects under the strict curriculum

00:34so that the study of mathematics, reading skills, and life skills would be more effective.

00:39Secretary Angara also emphasized that the senior high school should focus on work immersion or on-the-job training.

00:48Equity in free college tuition law was also discussed.

00:53Increasing the number of STEM graduates who will continue the so-called career path at computer literacy and up-skilling.

01:00Reforms were also discussed in licensure examinations for teachers and increasing the quality of teaching's delivery skills.

01:11In the first 100 days, we've gone long on our early bets.

01:15We've made the curriculum more flexible to maximize the learning time of our students as well as for our teachers.

01:21We've created a PISA task force to prepare our students for the upcoming international assessment.

01:26We're assessing our reading interventions and senior high school curriculum.

01:30The President's directive is clear.

01:32Secure the basics.

01:34Prepare students for the world of work.
