00:00Komalek's field testing for the automated elections in 2025 will be held on Saturday.

00:08Komalek also took a look at the things that will be used for the field testing.

00:12Louisa Erispe is in the center of the news.

00:18The Commission on Elections is not yet ready for the 2025 elections.

00:23The next thing they will do is to conduct a field test for the machines and the whole system that will be used for the automated elections.

00:32Here, they will know if there are things that need to be changed or fixed before the elections.

00:37We will see the effectiveness of the machines, especially the transmission of results.

00:43The field test will be tested for the first time, aside from what is currently being done in precincts and remote areas in the Philippines,

00:51the 15 percent threshold for the machines will be tested for the first time.

00:54They will also look at the transmission or sending of votes to the servers of Komalek, Citizens Arm and other stakeholders.

01:04The important thing here is to see if the Telco companies and Starlink are visa-free for the areas where the signal or communication is difficult.

01:15It's impossible for them to say that suddenly something will be sent in or the result will be changed because something is being transmitted.

01:22It's impossible because CCS is programmed to accept the IP of the machine or the IP address that came from the precinct and is being transmitted here.

01:33The field test will be done in 34 precincts in six provinces in the Philippines and others in other countries.

01:41Most of the areas in the Philippines are in remote areas like Tawi-Tawi, Batanes, Palawan and Davao del Sur.

01:48In other countries, there are in Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa and even in America.

01:55For Komalek to be sure that the machines will be ready for the field test on Saturday,

02:00they inspected the warehouse of ACMs in Binan, Laguna.

02:04Komalek said that in total, 85,000 ACMs were delivered in the Philippines

02:10and it is expected that the delivery of 110,000 automated counting machines will be completed this month.
