00:00Hey guys, I'm Tom the Tech Chap and this is the new Infinix Note 10 Pro.
00:05Now I'll be totally honest with you, this is actually the first Infinix phone I've ever used.
00:09So I'm quite excited about that and also a big thank you to Infinix for sponsoring this video.
00:14Although, as always, all opinions are my own.
00:16But this guy costs just $259.
00:20And I think considering what we are getting for that money, this could actually be really good value.
00:25So as I say, first Infinix phone ever.
00:28So let's get this unboxed.
00:30You can see we've got this big 6.95-inch screen.
00:33It's really, really massive actually.
00:35But we'll come back to that in just a second.
00:37SIM ejector.
00:38We've then got this. This is quite fun.
00:40This $1 JoinXClub coupon.
00:43I'll definitely cash that in later.
00:45As well as a clear plastic case to keep the phone nice and safe.
00:49We also get a pair of headphones, which is not something you see very often these days.
00:53USB-C cable.
00:55And also Infinix's 33-watt X charger for fast charging.
01:00This really is a big phone.
01:02Although, actually, it's surprisingly thin and light given that almost 7-inch screen size.
01:07You can see the key specs here.
01:096.95-inch, 90Hz.
01:11We've got the Helio G95 MediaTek processor, which actually is a really good gaming chip.
01:1664-megapixel quad camera.
01:18Keen to have a little look at those in a second.
01:20Fast charging.
01:21And this top-spec one has 8GB of RAM plus 256GB storage.
01:27Beautiful.
01:28Look at that.
01:30So as you can see, we've got this dual-tone design on the back.
01:33We've got this textured finish on the bottom and this reflective glossy top.
01:37And I really like the way as the light hits it, it sort of bounces off a little differently.
01:41We get this nice curve between the two textures.
01:44It definitely stands out.
01:46It's quite smart and definitely more premium than the price tag might suggest.
01:50So let's get this fired up.
01:52We've got this power button on the right-hand side, which doubles as a fingerprint reader.
01:56Although, you can also face unlock it with a hole-punch selfie camera up front.
02:00It's a 16-megapixel camera.
02:02We also get stereo speakers.
02:03Not something you see very often on more affordable phones.
02:06So speaker grill down here and then one in the earpiece at the top.
02:09On the bottom, as you can see, we've got a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is always a plus.
02:14And then on the back, we've got this big quad-lens camera setup.
02:18And actually, if I just use the SIM ejector to pull the tray out,
02:22you can see we've got room for two 4G SIM cards
02:25and also great to see a microSD card so you can expand the storage.
02:29I really love just how big this screen is.
02:32We've got nice thin bezels around the edges.
02:34We've got the hole-punch selfie at the top.
02:36As I say, 6.95 inches.
02:38If you're watching movies or playing games, this is going to give you a really immersive experience.
02:43Now, this is using an LCD panel, which obviously isn't quite as nice as AMOLED.
02:47But actually, because it's an IPS LCD, we're getting pretty good 1500 to 1 contrast.
02:52And the viewing angles aren't too bad at all, actually.
02:55And of course, the reason for this is, well, cost-saving.
02:57But on the plus side, we do get a 90Hz refresh rate.
03:01And actually, I would take a high refresh all day long,
03:04even over the slightly more inky blacks of an AMOLED screen.
03:07So I'm perfectly happy with that.
03:0890Hz, Full HD+, IPS LCD.
03:12Now, the first thing I want to do is jump into a game.
03:14And actually, this is Genshin Impact,
03:16which is one of the most graphically demanding games on mobile right now.
03:20And as you can see, we have the occasional frame drop.
03:23But on the whole, it's actually really nice and smooth.
03:27And so obviously, this is being powered by the MediaTek Helio G95,
03:31which is actually over twice as fast as the previous-gen G80.
03:35And just the fact that it runs Genshin this well means you're not going to have any problem
03:39with any app or game you throw at it.
03:41And you might also be able to hear those speakers.
03:43So as I say, stereo speakers.
03:45They're actually DTS-tuned, so we get better surround sound.
03:49And if I shut up for a second and just turn the volume up,
03:52you might get an idea of how good they are.
04:06But it's not just about the hardware,
04:09because while we have the G95 and also in this top-spec model 8GB of RAM,
04:13we've also got Infinix's Darlink Game Engine Optimizer,
04:17which I keep thinking sounds like Darling and I want to call my phone Darling.
04:21But no, Darlink.
04:22And it works by intelligently adjusting the speed of the CPU and the GPU
04:26and all the resource allocation behind the scenes
04:28to give you the smoothest and best gaming experience possible.
04:32The other benefit of having a big phone
04:34is that they can cram a really big battery in it as well.
04:37So we've got a 5,000 million power cell in here.
04:40And depending on how you use it, of course,
04:42you'll easily get a day, day and a half of use out of this.
04:45And of course, we do also have that fast 33W X charger,
04:48which actually charges up 50 minutes faster
04:51than the previous generation of this phone.
04:53So a nice upgrade there.
04:55Now, as I say, this is my first Infinix phone,
04:57and also the first time I've used their software.
05:00So we're getting Android 11 with their XOS software on top.
05:04And so far, I'm actually really liking it.
05:06It's nice and quick.
05:07Obviously, that's helped by the 90Hz screen as well.
05:09We have this dashboard to the left-hand side with some news feeds,
05:13also the weather and a step counter,
05:15and also how much RAM you're using, and you can reset that as well.
05:17So you've got a bit of an optimizer there.
05:19And we've got tons of extra functions and features
05:21if you want to have a play and really customize this and make it your own.
05:24I also quite like how they're calling the battery menu Power Marathon,
05:28which suggests that we are going to get a nice long battery with this.
05:31But you can also tweak all the power saving
05:33and ultra power saving modes as well.
05:35So you can get some extra juice out of this.
05:39My only feedback would be that there are quite a few pre-installed apps on the phone,
05:42which you may not want, although you can remove and hide them in folders if you want to.
05:46But I do appreciate that often helps these companies keep the price down.
05:50But now let's talk about this camera.
05:52And actually, it's a pretty good setup considering the price.
05:55We're getting a quad lens module here with a 64 megapixel main,
05:598 megapixel ultra wide, and a couple of 2 megapixels,
06:02a depth and a black and white.
06:04And actually, one thing I quite like, as you can see here,
06:07is that there's no standard photo mode.
06:09They've actually called it AI Cam because we've got the scene and object detection.
06:14And actually, the AI will automatically enhance the photo based on what you're looking at.
06:18So I've got the phone box here.
06:20If I bring in my fake plant, let's see if it detects what it is.
06:24So you can see flower at the top there.
06:26So it's analyzing the photo.
06:28So the AI will then optimize the photo based on what you're looking at.
06:32You can also shoot in the full 64 megapixels if you want the highest resolution image as well.
06:37And we also get 4K 30fps video with both the front and the rear camera,
06:41which is nice, especially at this price point.
06:43And we've also got this portrait mode where you can actually adjust the aperture manually.
06:47So how much of a sort of bokeh background you'd like.
06:51And also this super night low light mode.
06:54And then switching around to the 16 megapixel selfie camera and also the same 4K 30 video.
07:03So that is the new Infinix Note 10 Pro.
07:06And while a lot of people still haven't actually heard of Infinix,
07:09they are growing really, really fast.
07:11I think they've grown like 160% in the last couple of years.
07:14So they are definitely one to watch.
07:16And I think the Note 10 Pro, given its $259 price tag,
07:20definitely worth considering if you want a good all-round big screen, pretty decent gaming phone.
07:26And if you do fancy checking this out for yourself, I will leave links below.
07:29So go and have a look at that.
07:30And if you've got any questions at all, let me know in the comments.
07:33Thank you so much for watching, guys.
