00:00What's up guys, today we will be comparing the Pixel 6 Pro to the iPhone 14 Pro here.
00:08I was really curious more about the image quality, so I will show you guys the side
00:12by side stills.
00:13You guys know I'm a big fan of Google image processing.
00:16So let's go ahead and get started.
00:18The price on the Pixel 6 Pro has come down a lot.
00:20You can find it for around $650, which is really awesome.
00:24The 14 Pro will cost you $1000, and if you want the Pro Max, because you might just want
00:31the bigger size, it's going to cost you an extra $100 on top of that.
00:35So both of these phones have some really nice, unique designs, especially the Pixel.
00:39Google has done a great job making this phone extremely distinct.
00:43So when you see this camera module set up, you pretty much know it's going to be a Pixel
00:47phone.
00:48They're both premium glass and metal designs.
00:50They both have IP68 dust and water resistant rating.
00:54I do like the matte finish on the iPhone, it doesn't pick up fingerprints and stuff
00:58like that.
00:59You can kind of see a little bit of fingerprints on the Pixel.
01:01But as far as the build quality, these are two very, very nice feeling phones in the
01:07hand.
01:08Alright, so let's go ahead and talk about the display design on these two phones.
01:11So with the Pixel, you have a 6.7 inch display.
01:15It's LTPO AMOLED, it's 120Hz, HDR10+, it's a 1440p resolution display, and it is 512
01:23for the PPI.
01:25With the 14 Pro, it's a 6.1 inch display.
01:27Like I said, if you get the Pro Max, you will also get a 6.7 inch display.
01:32It's also LTPO, Super Retina XDR OLED, 120Hz, HDR10.
01:37It can get a peak brightness up to 2000, which makes it one of the brightest phones that
01:42you can get, which is really nice.
01:44I still do prefer the traditional punch hole design on the Pixel, as opposed to Apple's
01:50pill shaped cutout, which is a big improvement from the notch that we had for so long.
01:57But I actually do like the flat display on the iPhone as well too.
02:03I also do really love the curved display.
02:05So a lot of people, it's either one or the other.
02:08I actually do like both of them, I really don't mind.
02:11I think the curved design makes the phone look a little bit more premium to me.
02:16But it really just comes down to personal preference.
02:18But for me, I do really like the Pixel's display.
02:20I like the smaller notch, and I like that it has a 2K resolution as well too.
02:25Let's talk about the speed on both of these phones.
02:28I'm actually really impressed with Android 13.
02:30I just updated to it, and it is just buttery smooth.
02:34Stock Android has always been just super smooth as far as like animations and stuff goes.
02:39It just has a really smooth experience, the way that they do the animations and everything.
02:44So that's one thing that I really love.
02:46I even think it's smoother than iOS, honestly.
02:48It just feels extremely like buttery smooth.
02:52So let's go ahead and talk about the chips.
02:53So we have the Google Tensor chip, 12 gigs of RAM, and 128 gigs of storage.
02:58With the iPhone, we have the iOS 16, A16 chip, and then we also have 128 gigs and 6 gigs
03:05of RAM here.
03:06So if I pull up the Geekbench scores here, you can kind of see what you are working with
03:12here.
03:16And you can see those scores there.
03:19The iPhone will beat the Pixel in terms of single and multi-core.
03:24Now when it comes to just real world use, they both pretty much feel on par with each
03:29other.
03:30We'll go ahead and launch YouTube.
03:33Pretty much the same.
03:35Super smooth scrolling on both.
03:38Have more of a fast scroll on the Pixel.
03:40More of a slower, smooth scroll on the iPhone though.
03:44Let's go ahead and try Subway Surf, the iPhone, Pixel.
03:54So you guys can see, not too much of a difference here.
03:59Let's try a heavier game, PUBG.
04:02Alright guys, you can see we're in PUBG and the gaming experience is going to be pretty
04:07good.
04:08Our max settings on the iPhone is HDR Extreme.
04:11It runs very good.
04:12Able to hold 60 frames.
04:14There probably will be an update that will give it the 90 frames option again, like on
04:21the 13 Pro.
04:22On the Pixel, I think this is HDR Ultra.
04:26So we can do, yeah, it's not able to do HDR Extreme.
04:30We can do Smooth Extreme.
04:33But that's most likely due to optimization since the Tensor chip is pretty new.
04:38But like I said, if you're more of a casual gamer, you won't really notice a difference.
04:42If you do play a ton of games, stuff like that, yes, the iPhone is probably going to
04:46be better for games like Genshin and stuff like that.
04:49But yeah.
04:50Alright, let's go ahead and talk about some of the additional features here.
04:53So the Pixel, you will get a fingerprint scanner, which works.
04:58They have been working on it, I can tell, because it's a little bit more consistent
05:01than when it first came out.
05:03But unfortunately, there's no face unlock feature on the Pixel.
05:07With the iPhone, it's the same thing, only one implementation.
05:11So we get Face ID, which works flawlessly.
05:13So no issues there with either of these.
05:16It just depends on which one you like more.
05:19As far as the speaker quality goes, I'm really curious about this.
05:23I wonder which one has a better speaker.
05:25Let's go ahead and start with the Pixel.
05:55Now, there is just a little bit more detail with the bass on the Pixel, but they about
06:12sound the same in terms of loudness.
06:14They're just tuned slightly different.
06:17But they're both two excellent speakers.
06:19Like I said, they sound really close, but they're just slight different tunings.
06:26Yeah, it's just too close to call here.
06:36But yeah, just know you're going to get an excellent speaker with both of these phones
06:41here.
06:42So let's go ahead and talk about the camera specs on here, and I'll show you guys the
06:49side-by-side stills.
06:50So the Pixel, it does have a 50 megapixel standard.
06:53It's also got a 48 megapixel telephoto that actually can do 4x optical zoom, and then
06:59you also have a 12 megapixel ultrawide.
07:01It shoots in 4K 60, and then you have an 11.1 megapixel ultrawide selfie cam on here, and
07:08that shoots in 4K 30.
07:11The iPhone does have the new 48 megapixel standard, and then a 12 megapixel telephoto
07:17that does 3x, and then a 12 megapixel ultrawide.
07:20It does have a macro mode, and you also have 4K 60, and then a 12 megapixel selfie cam
07:26that shoots in 4K 60 as well.
07:29So let me know, which shots do you guys think looked better?
07:59Let me know in the comments below, and I'll see you guys in the next one.
08:29All right guys, here's the video on the Pixel.
08:36Here's our 0.7, 2x, 4x.
08:56All right guys, here is the video on the 14 Pro here, it's a 0.6, 2x, here's our 3x, all
09:17right.
09:18Lastly, as far as the battery experience, these are two great battery life phones.
09:23Both these phones can easily do six hours of screen on time.
09:27You probably can get slightly better battery life on the 14 Pro, so that is really nice,
09:32but just know both phones are going to do excellent when it comes to battery life.
09:36The specs though, the Pixel 6 Pro has 5,000 milliamp battery.
09:40It also has 30 watt fast charging on here, and then you have reverse wireless charging
09:45as well, which is really nice, so you can charge up earbuds, or you can even charge
09:48up another phone with the Pixel, which is sweet.
09:51The iPhone does have a 3,200 milliamp battery, and then you also have the MagSafe wireless
09:57charging and your standard wireless charging, but it does not have any type of reverse wireless
10:02charging.
10:03That is pretty much it guys, these are two extremely solid phones.
10:07I really love the Pixel at this price point, now that it's come down, $650 makes it a steal.
10:13Be sure to let me know, what do you guys think, and I'll catch you guys in the next one.
