00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and First Lady Leyza Reneta Marcos are back home after a trip to Indonesia.

00:10After witnessing the first couple, the new president of our beloved country Indonesia, Claycelle Pardilla, is here in the center of the news.

00:23Former Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who served as Minister of Defense of the former Indonesian President Joko Widodo,

00:35and the youngest vice president of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming Raka,

00:43as well as those who attended the inauguration of the new rulers of the largest economy in Southeast Asia,

00:51are President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and First Lady Leyza Araneta Marcos.

00:57In his greeting, President Marcos, Jr. said that he and his first wife are excited to be part of this important occasion.

01:08Indonesia is also known as a long-standing ally and close friend of the Philippines in the region.

01:16President Marcos, Jr. also gave the desire to strengthen the friendship of the two countries in this historic occasion,

01:25which coincides with the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Indonesia in November.

01:35This is not the first time that the two leaders met.

01:39It can be remembered that in September, President Marcos gave a courtesy call to President Marcos in Malacanang,

01:45a few months after he won the election.

01:48The two leaders promised to strengthen the alliance of the two countries.

01:54Therefore, President Marcos' visit is a proof of the deep and strong friendship of the Philippines and Indonesia.

02:03It is also a symbol of the efforts of the two countries to expand and strengthen the bilateral relations.

02:11Meanwhile, President Marcos recognized the contribution of the former Indonesian President Joko Widodo

02:19to help strengthen the cooperation of the two countries.

02:23In 2022, Indonesia was the first country visited by President Marcos after he was elected.

02:32Where he was warmly welcomed by Widodo, who visited the Philippines in January 2024.
