00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. has returned home after witnessing the inauguration of the new Indonesian President, Prabowo Sobianto.

00:13President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. gave the new Indonesian President, Prabowo Sobianto, a grand opening after his inauguration, which was personally won by the first couple.
00:27President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos witnessed the inauguration of the President of the largest economy in Southeast Asia.
00:40Prabowo Sobianto was formally inaugurated as the 8th President of Indonesia and the youngest Vice President of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabumi, yesterday at the House of Representatives Building in Jakarta.
00:56The first couple was invited by the current and outgoing Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, who gave an important speech.
01:05In his speech, President R. Marcos said that he and the First Lady are excited to be a part of this occasion, which is special for friends and the international community.
01:20Indonesia was recognized by the Executive Board as a long-standing partner and a close friend of the Philippines in the region.
01:29He also gave the desire to strengthen the friendship of the two countries in this historic occasion, which happened on the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Indonesia in November.
01:47This was not the first time that the two leaders of the country met.
01:52On September, Prabowo gave a courtesy call to President R. Marcos, Jr., a few months after he won the election.
02:00The two leaders then promised to strengthen the alliance of the two countries.
02:07Therefore, President Marcos' visit proved the deep and strong friendship of the Philippines and Indonesia.
02:17It is also a symbol of the commitment of the two countries to expand and strengthen the bilateral relations.
02:26Meanwhile, President Marcos recognized the contribution of the former President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, who helped to strengthen the cooperation of the two countries.
02:38In 2022, Indonesia was the first state visit of President Marcos, where he was warmly welcomed by Widodo, who also visited the Philippines in January 2024.
