00:00You guys, Samsung just announced the S22 series, three phones including an Ultra that comes
00:05with an S-Pen.
00:06I got some time with these devices before launch, so let's go look at them.

00:16Welcome to Isanaz Tech, where we do tech in your life, in style.
00:20Let's just jump into it and start with the S22 Ultra.
00:24One big thing is that this S-series phone now comes with an S-Pen.
00:27It's integrated into the phone just like in the Note series, and this Ultra device
00:31loses all the camera bumps, so it's a sleek-looking slab.
00:35As sleek as it can get, though.
00:36It's not completely flush, but you get the idea.
00:39It's also quite the chunky phone.
00:41It features an impressive 6.8-inch AMOLED 2X display.
00:46That's also a curved display that spills onto the side of the phone, which makes it feel
00:51like an even bigger screen.
00:53So if you like that big-screen experience on your phone, or if you're a previous Note
00:57user wanting to upgrade, this might be the device you'd want to look at.
01:01All those things together, the S22 Ultra actually looks more like a Note device versus something
01:07you'd find on the S line.
01:09The S22 Ultra comes in four colors, phantom black, phantom white, green, and a burgundy.
01:14Personally, I'm liking that burgundy or the phantom white.
01:17Like I said, this is a big phone, but those sides are rounded, which makes it easier to
01:21grasp, especially if you have tinier hands like me.
01:24Look at the curves on this thing.
01:26On the right side of the phone, you have a volume rocker, a power button, the bottom
01:30gives you the SIM tray, charging ports, speaker grills, and of course, that slot for your
01:35S Pen.
01:36Now, that S Pen is looking like the same S Pen we've seen in previous phones.
01:40Though let me say this, it's been a hot second since the last Note, so I'm pretty excited
01:43to test that out, especially with the remote selfie features.
01:47Now, onto the cameras.
01:49There are four cameras on that smooth bump, a 108MP main, a 12MP wide, a 10MP telephoto
01:55with 10x optical zoom, and a 100x phase loop.
02:00There's also a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, which makes the total of the cameras
02:05on the back to 4.
02:07Up front, that's a 40MP dot display selfie.
02:11This phone shoots 8K 24fps video on the rear, and for the vloggers, front-facing camera
02:16also shoots 4K 60fps.
02:19There are also cool shooting features on this, including the auto-framing mode, which we've
02:22previously seen on phones like the Fold, where the frame auto-adjusts depending on the people
02:28it detects in the shot, and this can detect up to 10 people.
02:32There's a super steady mode, again, great for people who love vlogging with their phone.
02:35And Samsung also talks about their AI Stereo Depth Map.

02:40Then, there's AI Stereo Depth.

02:49There's also an AI Stereo Depth Map, which should help shooting portrait photos.
02:52We all love that, Poké.
02:54This phone also has improved portrait mode at night time, and, this is important, portrait
02:59mode recognizes dogs.
03:02And of course, being the Ultra phone, this thing has the best camera array from the S22
03:07series.
03:08And so this might be a fitting phone to shoot with if you're a creator, and Samsung gave
03:12you one up.
03:13You can shoot RAW on expert mode with this device, and export it straight to Adobe.
03:19This chunky device has a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
03:25And finally, this phone is available with an 8GB plus 128GB variant or the 12GB to 56GB,
03:32512GB or 1TB option.
03:44Right, moving on to the other two phones.
03:48Samsung also announced the S22 and the S22 Plus.
03:51Now these two look completely alike.
03:54They come in four cute colors, Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, and Pink Gold.
03:59You all know what color I'm getting because the future is pink.
04:02So basically, the smaller S22 has a 6.1-inch Full HD plus AMOLED 2X display.
04:08This is versus the 6.6-inch FHD plus AMOLED 2X display on the S22 Plus.
04:15Again, identical really, but personally, you know I'd rather get the smaller phone.
04:21I just find it more comfortable and it's just easier for my tinier hands and tinier pockets.
04:26Now this is the size difference between the two phones, and here they are side by side.
04:30These new S22s look very similar to the S21 devices, but with a heftier feel and with
04:35camera bump colors matching with the body.
04:38This phone has aluminum frames and Gorilla Glass Victus on that IP68 rated body.
04:44Oh, and the Ultra is IP68 rated too.
04:47On the right of the phone, there is a volume rocker, a power button, at the bottom, speaker
04:52grills, USB-C port, a SIM tray, and that's a clean left side and top.
04:57Now I will point out that though the edges are slightly curved, the front and the back
05:02of this phone is very flat, well aside from that camera bump.
05:08As to cameras, this phone features a 50MP main, a 12MP wide, and a 10MP telephoto camera
05:15with 3x optical zoom and 30x space zoom.
05:19And that's all, that's a total of 3 cameras on both phones.
05:22They have the same exact cameras.
05:24Up front, that's a 10MP selfie shooter.
05:27Impressively, and just like the S22 Ultra, these two phones can also shoot 8K 24fps with
05:33the rear cameras and 4K 60 up front.
05:36It also has features like the AI Stereo Depth Map, Auto Framing, and Steady Mode.
05:41Both phones have an 8GB, 128GB, or 256GB version.
05:46Now these two phones, except for size, are very similar.
05:49They're also both powered by the same processor, but here are some notable differences.
05:55First of all, Ultra Wideband is only on the S22 Plus and not on the S22.
05:59Secondly, the S22 Plus features a bigger 4,500mAh power battery, and of course, the smaller
06:05S22 features a smaller battery with 3,700mAh.
06:11Third, the bigger S22 Plus features 45W fast charging with that bigger battery, and the
06:16smaller S22 with a smaller battery features 25W charging.
06:20So yeah, that's basically a quick look at the S22 and S22 Plus.
06:24Wrapping up, all three devices, the S22 Ultra, the S22 Plus, and the S22, all run on the
06:30same processor, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, at least in the US.
06:36Actually, even the new Samsung Tab S8s announced alongside these phones are powered by the
06:42same chips, though I didn't have enough time to get you a look at those tabs, so we don't
06:47have a video of that.
06:48But going back to the phones, pre-orders for all three phones start on Feb 9.
06:53The S22 Ultra is priced starting at $1,200.
06:57The S22 Plus is priced starting at $1,000.
07:00And the S22 is priced starting at $800.

07:09Now all that means that I only did get a hot second with these phones, so I'm really excited
07:12to check them out.
07:13Personally, if I had to pick between all three phones, I would go for the S22, one, because
07:20of its size.
07:21Two, I love the fact that the smaller phone has the same processor than the Ultra.
07:26And three, it comes in pink gold.
07:27So either way, I'll hopefully have my hands on all three devices, crossing my fingers,
