00:00Celebration of friendship with the Philippines.

00:02That was the theme of the National Day of Hungary,

00:05which was hosted by several government bodies.

00:07Five decades of diplomatic relations between the two countries were also maintained there.

00:12Let's watch this.

00:30Now the occasion is our National Day, the National Day of Hungary,

00:45in which we had more than 300 guests from the Philippines,

00:49but even from Hungary, business people and our generous sponsors

00:53flying over to celebrate together with their Philippines friends here in Manila.

01:00So we had tonight our guest of honours from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Undersecretaries

01:12and also Secretary Hans Kakdak from the Department of Migrant Workers,

01:18Secretary Bautista, many other undersecretaries and government representatives

01:23from various departments of the Philippines.

01:27And I'm very happy also that we showcased the Hungarian excellences.

01:32From culinary art we had the Hungarian paprika powder,

01:36so every food, most of the food contains the touch of spicy red paprika.

01:42Besides that we had two beautiful performers, one dancer and one violinist lady,

01:48who showed us the true Hungarian spirit.

01:52Besides that the guests could enjoy the Hungarian wine, which was excellent, I'm sure.

02:01During our National Day we wanted to showcase who we are,

02:05but at the same time we would like to deepen our friendship with the Philippines.

02:10This is now more than a 50-year-old friendship in the diplomatic scene with the Filipinos,

02:16and I'm sure that this even can help you to encourage your citizens to travel to Hungary

02:22and not only enjoy the Hungarian spirit for one night, but maybe for a longer period.

02:32Honestly, I'm very happy because I think we could bring our countries closer to each other,

02:39even if it's more than 10,000 kilometres away where we are located,

02:43but I feel that the welcoming, the hospitality of the Filipinos is giving us an extra boost,

02:50what we can add to our relations.

02:54My message to the Filipinos is that please take your energy, take your time,

02:59and take your courage to travel to my beautiful country, which is located in the heart of Europe,

03:05and it's really the spice of Europe called Hungary.

03:10Thank you very much, long live!

03:12And happy National Day to Hungary!
